Artemisinin-based combination therapy for malaria was effective in 3 days, which is 4 days less than traditional chloroquine therapy. In more than 30 years of clinical application, no drug resistance has been found in Plasmodium.
By the end of 2005, it had been designated as a first-line drug for the treatment of malaria in 26 Asian and African countries, which is a milestone in the history of the treatment of malaria, a highly contagious disease.
4. Laser interferometer:
The laser interferometer invented by Professor Yuan Liang uses laser as the light source to form a measurement system with interferometric effect.
The laser interferometer can be used with various refractors, mirrors, etc. to measure linear position, speed, angle, flatness, straightness, parallelism and perpendicularity, and can be used as a precision machine tool or measuring instrument for calibration.
At present, it is widely used in lithography machines, mask engraving machines and three- and four-axis precision machine tools.
5. High-magnification glyph information compression technology:
In September 1975, Professor Wang Xuan's high-magnification glyph information compression technology, the high-speed reduction technology of glyphs was further matured, and was realized in the computer through software.
At the end of 1976, Professor Wang Xuan wrote the "Scheme Description of the 748 Project Chinese Character Precision Phototypesetting System", and Professor Wang Xuan's design concept was finally accepted by people.
