Chapter 8 Faults
At the end of a class, according to the plan that had been set a long time ago, Chen Nian was supposed to have a symposium with the students of this class as a "superior leader".
However, both Chen Nian himself and Chen Guo felt that such an event was really more formal than substantial, so they simply canceled the symposium and instead randomly selected a few students for interviewsβor rather, in fact, the level of small talk was even higher.
Of course, Chen Nian still consciously asked about the use of the Spirit Eye during the conversation, but to his surprise, this thing actually did not bring a particularly big "response" among the student group.
In other words, just like the multimedia and smart blackboards they used before, the Eyes are just a new teaching aid for them.
They don't care about this teaching aid, but the problem is that it is this state of "not caring" that can significantly improve the teaching level of the whole class.
This just shows the merits of the Spiritual Eyes.
If this thing really makes "people who can use it improve faster", then Chen Nian will not hesitate to stop this project.
This is because it will undoubtedly further widen the gap between the so-called "geniuses" and "mediocre talents", and completely bury the problem of unbalanced allocation of educational resources and educational efficiency into the abyss.
But the good thing is, as it stands, it's still very useful.
ββ
At least, when Chen Nian sat across from a boy who looked like a fool and tried to communicate with him as an "equipment manufacturer", he showed not "disdain", but admiration.
"You guys are still quite useful for this, and to be honest, I admire you scientists who do scientific research the most."
"Those Internet celebrities and celebrities, I don't think they can compare with you."
"I know myself, we are the rats of the sewers, and no one cares where we are going in the future."
"Some people came to our school to shoot videos, send supplies, and expose any educational injustice."
"To be honest, you were the first ones who really wanted us to get better."
"It's only good. I'm sorry, but we weren't born to read much, and no matter how good things are given to us, it's useless. β
Hearing this, Chen Nian couldn't help but be a little puzzled.
"Don't you know that your level is improving? Don't you know that the overall score of this class is at least 30% higher than at the beginning? β
"Yes."
The boy shrugged his shoulders and replied:
"But what's the point of that. Seriously, each of us has a frighteningly low starting point, let alone a 30% increase, even if it is a 300% increase? β
"We can't compete with those young masters and geniuses, a pair of glasses. It's good, but it doesn't solve our problem at the root. β
The boy's description was very clear, which made Chen Nian a little suspicious:
If the logic of his thinking can indeed reach the point where he can fully express what he wants to express, then why did he "fall" into this school?
A somewhat cruel, but realistic situation is that there is a limit to what an individual human can do.
He may be far from being able to play to his potential due to various external factors, but at least, it is impossible to fall below the bottom line delineated by the lower limit of his own ability
Thinking of this, Chen Nian opened his mouth and asked:
"So how do you think your problem should be solved?"
"That's complicated, really, uncle, just go to our house and see."
"I know you must think that we are the same as the migrant workers we used to be, living in a dilapidated prefabricated house, and then my father is working outside, my mother is sick in bed, and there is a younger sister who is in elementary school at home."
"But actually, that's not the case at all."
A playful smile appeared on the boy's face, and after a pause, he said:
"The Internet celebrities who came to engage in poverty alleviation before also thought the same, they sent a lot of rice, flour, grain and oil to our family, and even shortbread-ββ which was very funny, we didn't finish it for three months, and threw away most of it."
Saying this, the boy's expression began to become lost.
"We are really not short of money, and it can even be said that as a construction worker, my dad has enjoyed the dividends of the infrastructure construction in recent years."
"Our family's life is still very good - I'm talking about material life."
"But, his life is only a construction site."
"Even with my life, I have been moving around the theme of 'construction site' all the time."
"Because, this is the field that my older generation is most familiar with."
"How is this possible?"
Chen Nian interrupted the boy's words, and then asked rhetorically:
"How could your father not want you to get out of this industry and go in a higher direction?"
"When you say that, you're kind of making excuses for your self-abandonment, right?"
"Nope."
The boy shook his head solemnly and replied:
"Of course he wanted me out of the business, but I just wanted to ask. Uncle, you are engaged in smart devices, if I ask you any questions about nuclear fusion, superconductors, etc., can you answer them? β
"Can you know what industries and jobs will be created by these technologies?"
"You can't, can you?"
"This is still on the premise that you already have a fairly high vision and a lot of knowledge."
"Ten years back, my dad is a construction worker who doesn't know a word, do you think, he can understand?"
The boy's topic hit Chen Nian's muzzle, because he really understands nuclear fusion and superconductors.
However, Chen Nian completely understood what the boy meant.
This is a huge fault line caused by talent development not keeping up with technological development.
And the collateral consequence of this fault line is the serious lack of family education, and even serious mistakes.
The group of people who can quickly adapt to technological changes will become stronger and stronger, while the group of people at the bottom who do not have the "foundation" to adapt will become weaker and weaker.
If the normal development path of technology is followed, the problem will not be so serious.
But. The technological progress led by Chen Nian is precisely abnormal and contrary to objective laws!
"I see what you mean"
Chen Nian nodded slightly, which can be regarded as a recognition of the boy's opinion.
But then he asked:
"So you think it's this problem that caused your failure, so there has to be a specific manifestation, right?"
"Macro problems don't directly press on you, no matter how he doesn't understand, he can't stop you from studying, right?"
"Not really."
The boy shrugged his shoulders again, then replied:
"No one else knows, but I'm right. I am the product of a cut leek. β
"When the fusion fire, my dad enrolled me in a junior nuclear energy interest class; When the superconductor is on fire, I will give me what superconductivity experimental group to make; When artificial intelligence became popular, I was asked to learn programming."
"Didn't I say it, he doesn't understand anything, so he wants me to try everything."
"Uncle, you say, in this case, it's strange that I can learn well, right?"
"Indeed."
Chen Nian sighed deeply.
This boy's experience is really a bit miserable, but it's a little funny.
However, his peculiar and ridiculous experience was actually just a small fluctuation on the periphery of a huge system.
It seems that to really solve the problem of education, it is still far from enough to rely on a pair of glasses.
