Liu Xinglong, born in Huangzhou, Hubei Province in 1956, is a famous writer. He is a member of the Novel Creation Committee of the Chinese Writers Association, the honorary director of the Liu Xinglong Contemporary Literature Research Center of Central China Normal University, and the editor-in-chief of the literary magazine "Fangcao".

In 1984, he began to publish works, and wrote the novels "Majestic", "Life is Labor and Kindness", "The Love History of a Tree", "Painful Loss", "Mitian", "The Gate of Heaven" (three volumes), "Skywalker", "Panyu", the novella "Autumn Wind is Drunk", "Phoenix Qin", "Sharing Difficulties", "Carrying Tea Leaves to Beijing", etc., as well as the long prose "How Deep is a Drop of Water", and the long poem "Walking on the Plateau with the Chest".

He has published 23 short story collections such as "Liu Xinglong's Anthology" in 26 volumes, 11 novels and 13 volumes, with a total of nearly 10 million words of literary works, and five short story collections and a number of short and medium stories translated into English, French, Japanese, Korean and other languages by foreign publishing institutions.
