Chapter 482: The Six Classics
On Mochou Lake, there is a lot of snow.
In the lakeside attic, the four of them sat on the fire, Jiang Xinghuo said straight to the point: "The reason why I haven't come to look for Confucius these days is that the facts of the country and the dynasty are complicated. ”
After hearing this, Kong Xilu knew in his heart that since he was the hope of Weifu and the Taishan Beidou of Confucianism, it was normal for Jiang Xinghuo to have a plan, but if he had no plans, he couldn't say anything.
After all, what the other party used in exchange was what he could really use to start a sect and even leave a name in history.
But Kong Xilu is the head of the Southern Confucian family after all, and every move must not only depend on his own mind, but also take care of the whole family, and Jiang Xinghuo is the standard-bearer of the Fa-changing faction, which is in conflict with the conservative Cheng Zhu Lixue from a practical point of view.
Therefore, if Jiang Xinghuo has any special and excessive requirements, Kong Xilu will still weigh them in his heart.
"Ahem."
At this time, Huikong, who had been hidden in the corner, walked out, stretched out his hand into his arms, and found a booklet.
"This is the Huikong Zen Master of the Great Heavenly Realm Temple, who has always liked to delve into medical skills, and has some unique opinions on medical skills."
Gao Xunzhi looked at it, this person was already strong until winter, and he only wore a monk's robe that exposed one arm, and then looked at the tendons and flesh of the other party's body. No, it's the strong muscles that are visible to the naked eye at the neck junctions.
Gao Xunzhi's mind was a little confused at this time, probably caused by excessive drinking, but no matter what, it was difficult for him to associate the person in front of him with "proficient in medical skills".
Gao Xunzhi has a good character, but he is not a person who is a good drinker, at this time, strange thoughts flew around in his head, and then he actually stretched out a hand with a hiccup: "Hiccup show me." ”
Jiang Xinghuo looked at Gao Xunzhi and said with a smile: "Gao Taichang is drunk? ”
Gao Xunzhi shook his head and only said: "People are not sages with pure hearts and few desires, occasionally drink two cups to help the fun, where can they get drunk?" ”
Seeing that he shouldn't drop things in the hot pot, Gao Xunzhi's statement, Jiang Xinghuo was much more relieved, and then handed the booklet handed over by Huikong to Gao Xunzhi.
Huikong regained his stealth state.
Gao Xunzhi took the booklet, flipped through it for a while, his face gradually turned red, and then he raised his head suddenly: "This you."
Jiang Xinghuo smiled slightly, and poured a glass of wine for himself, but unfortunately these people drank too violently, the wine glasses were not satisfied, and the wine jar was empty, so he raised his head and poured the wine into his throat, and then took the jar of wine from the cabinet next to him.
Gao Xunzhi looked at the booklet, the whole person froze, his hands were trembling, and then he slowly stood up, his legs were a little weak.
- This thing is too disgusting for him, too.
He looked at Huikong in the corner and asked word by word: "You mean, the bones and internal organs in the human body are like this?" ”
"Of course."
Huikong nodded: "The poor monk has dissected a lot, all like this. ”
Gao Xunzhi's lips squirmed for a long time, but he didn't spit out a word after all, and finally sat back in his chair.
He looked at the booklet in his hand, and for a moment felt that this thin booklet was quite hot.
So, Gao Xunzhi hurriedly threw it to Cao Duan and Kong Xilu, who were sitting on the other side, and he wanted to drink again.
Jiang Xinghuo poured another glass of wine, picked it up, and sent it to Gao Xunzhi: "Come, Gao Taichang, take a sip and drive away the cold!" ”
Gao Xunzhi thought in his heart: "What's the cold?" I'm afraid it's almost the same evil spirit. ”
He took the drink, but for some reason, as soon as he remembered the scene of human anatomy in the booklet, he immediately lay down on the table and vomited at the spittoon below, I don't know if it was stuck or what, a face turned purple, Jiang Xinghuo patted him on the back, and then he came over.
This scene fell in the eyes of the other two, but they couldn't help but be a little surprised.
Cao Duan took it and put it in the middle of the table with great respect for the old and the young, and flipped through it for Kong Xilu, but before he read it twice, Cao Duan felt a little unbearable.
For no other reason, Huikong's hand-painting is too lifelike, and it has been colored.
In ancient times, there was a diagram of the meridians of the human body, but this kind of human anatomy diagram must not be there, it belongs to the new life that no one has ever seen, and the ancients rarely read medical books, even if they read, it is also pure text, learning meridians, herbs, these people, to understand the specific location of the internal organs and bones, very little, let alone even the blood vessels are drawn.
So at first glance, it looks like a person has been peeled off and put in front of him in detail, which is still too large for people in this era.
In fact, in Jiang Xinghuo's previous life, it was not until the end of the Qing Dynasty, that is, the beginning of the nineteenth century, that there were missionaries in China who brought relatively perfect anatomy, and textbooks in the field of anatomy were introduced to China, which were basically similar to the kind of human anatomy drawings drawn by Lu Xun later, but the Chinese edition of the anatomy book was not until 1851, when the British missionary Hexin and Chinese Chen Xiutang co-translated and published the anatomical and physiological work "The New Theory of All".
Because of this, this kind of thing is indeed difficult to be accepted by people in this era, even if it is a Confucian who is relatively medical knowledge compared to ordinary people.
"Snort."
With a dull sound, Cao Duan also began to lie on the ground and retch, he just didn't want to think of that kind of picture, and now he felt chills when he thought about it.
Jiang Xinghuo, who was sitting outside, got up and patted him on the shoulder and said, "I haven't seen it yet."
To Cao Duan and Gao Xunzhi's surprise, Old Man Kong was the most tolerant of this.
In fact, it's not surprising to think about it, the things that Kong Xilu studies under the microscope every day must be more disgusting than this. It should have been exercised a long time ago.
Kong Xilu patiently flipped through it, then put down the booklet and said: "The medical book says that the location of the five internal organs and six internal organs, although the bones are not explained in too much detail, but I think it is not much different from this, does the national teacher plan to let me promote the medicine of this human body in the name of 'body thing', no, 'body self'?" ”
In fact, from his own point of view, Kong Xilu is not very interested in the composition of bones, blood vessels, and internal organs, because strictly speaking, this belongs to the category of medicine, and it is completely different from the cells and microorganisms under the microscope.
The reason why Kong Xilu is obsessed with this is because all living objects in this world have cells under the microscope, for Kong Xilu, this is a universal microscopic law, but the cells in different parts of different life forms and unified life forms may be different, but this thing is the same as the principle of "Li Yi Yi" and does not affect anything.
In other words, what Kong Xilu cares about is the means to truly understand the "reason" of the origin of all things through "body and matter".
As for what the human body looks like, he doesn't care too much, because Confucianism is responsible for the gentleman's own heart, and medicine is responsible for seeking his own body.
But if it's just this, Kong Xilu is still willing to help, after all, Jiang Xinghuo doesn't seem to ask him to do anything, although this is a bit shocking, but in the final analysis, it is not a violation of Confucian principles, Confucianism doesn't care about this thing at all.
Of course, Jiang Xinghuo is not just to promote human anatomy, if he wants to promote this kind of thing, he doesn't need to ask Kong Xilu at all, he is Xiang Zhuang Dancing Sword, which is intended for Pei Gong.
Jiang Xinghuo took out a piece of paper from his sleeve and handed it to Kong Xilu.
Kong Xilu's expression froze, and it seemed to be a paragraph.
"Everything in the world is unreasonable. If there is no end to reason, then no matter who says it, it should be believed, and people are the same as this heart, and the heart is the same as this reason, and it is not different from others, and it is not different from its reason. Those who do not know the part, that is, do not know the source of the disease, that is, do not know the source of the disease, that is, do not know the treatment, do not know the treatment and use the usual medicine, it is still not a great harm, if the wind catches the shadow to test the disease, there will be those who cannot bear to speak. The same is true for the use of the world."
Kong Xilu is a smart person, and when he sees the words "applied to the world", he already basically understands what kind of pretense Jiang Xinghuo is playing.
To put it bluntly, although human anatomy is practical, can save people, and can make people understand the mysteries of the human body, it is really not that important for people in Jiang Xinghuo's position.
What does Jiang Xinghuo need most?
Of course, it is to let the empire move in the direction of its design in every way.
As far as the ideological world is concerned, what Jiang Xinghuo has to do is nothing more than to turn the ideological circle to the eight words of "exploring and applying reason, and applying it to the world".
So how does Confucianism practice these eight words?
The answer is not complicated, put into practice in another eight words.
- "The Six Classics note me, I note the Six Classics." ”
Now that we have used the revival of mind and practice to destroy the dominant position of the science of science, the next step is of course to continue to increase the destruction of the dominant position of the science of science.
What destruction is the most powerful?
You know, a fortress is always the easiest to breach from within.
Therefore, Jiang Xinghuo's idea was to persuade these great Confucians, who had just become famous in the three debates of "Ancient and Modern Kings, Hegemony and Righteousness", and let them help destroy the science of science. This sounds like an unlikely thing, but Jiang Xinghuo has a plan.
Jiang Xinghuo said with a smile: "The Qi family has not mentioned the rule of the country and the world, just talk about this matter of reading, the righteous examples in the Six Classics are subtle and subtle, and it can be said to be complicated and troublesome, and it is much simpler than really dealing with national government affairs?" I don't think so! And since the Six Classics are complicated, and Baisi may not be able to understand them, it is necessary to apply them to the scriptures. ”
Cao Duan's thick eyebrows furrowed slightly, and he asked, "What is the way to say it?" ”
"Naturally, the imperial court paid for the Confucianism to revise the notes of the Six Classics as the standard for future generations."
Jiang Xinghuo said this lightly, but as soon as these words came out, in fact, the matter became a third.
Why?
It doesn't matter if you have money or not, let's just talk about this matter, that is the task that many Confucians want to take on when they break their heads?
This is a collection of annotations for the revision of the Six Classics of the National Dynasty!
This is to be passed down to future generations and become the standard for countless readers!
Huikong, who was standing incognito in the corner, actually didn't quite understand why the expressions of the three great Confucians in front of him had changed a little.
His understanding of Confucianism is still in a relatively superficial stage, but Huikong also knows that Zhu Xi can be enshrined in the Confucian Temple by virtue of his identity as a master of science, so what is the embodiment of Zhu Xi's thoughts? Notes on the Four Books.
The full name of "Notes on the Collection of Four Books" is "Notes on the Collection of Chapters and Sentences of the Four Books", which is Zhu Xi's annotation on the "Analects", "Mencius", "University", and "The Mean", which is not only a textbook for readers, but also the standard of the imperial examination.
However, anyone who has some understanding of the theoretical system of Confucianism can understand that the "Six Classics" are higher than the "Four Books", not to mention that the "Analects" and "Mencius" in the Four Books are not classics, and the "University" and "The Mean" were only two articles in the "Little Dai Li Ji" at the beginning.
How does Zhu Xi explain this? Zhu Xi himself said clearly, "The teaching of Master Cheng in Henan must first make it hard to make it the words of the "University", "Analects", "The Mean", and "Mencius", and then reach the Six Classics", Zhu Xi compared the four books he commented on to "cooked rice", that is, you can satisfy your hunger when you take them, and the Six Classics are "beating the grass for rice", which means pulling out the seedlings for cooking. In the evolution of science, at the beginning, Ercheng regarded the Four Books as a ladder for learning the Six Classics, and Zhu Xi admitted this, but he seized the orthodox educational status of the Six Classics in the study of the scriptures by mastering the right to annotate the Four Books, which were relatively easier to learn.
"Notes on the Four Books" is a complete system of physical thought constructed by Zhu Xi throughout his life, therefore, Zhu Xi repeatedly emphasized that mastering the "Notes on the Four Books" laid the foundation of physical thought, in fact, Zhu Xi's "Notes on the Four Books" is of course a very powerful work, but if this is the only explanation of Confucianism, it is also nonsense, as for his disciples boasting, "Therefore, those who are foolish to say that "Zhuzi's language" and "Four Books" are different, should take "Zhuzi's language" as the positive, and the discussion is difficult to repeat, and those who are not reached by "Four Books" should be helped by "Zhuzi's language". It was even more pure and pure to put gold on Zhu Xi's face.
Commenting on the Six Classics is undoubtedly a more laborious and glorious task than commenting on the Four Books.
The Four Books can still be done by a person in his entire life, but the volume of the Six Classics, which involves research, comparison, and research, is like the concept of revising the "Yongle Canon", and it is impossible to complete it without the state spending a lot of money and organizing a large number of manpower.
One person, or a academy, to do this, don't even think about it.
And participating in this matter, even if it is a name, it is a concept related to the revision of the "Zizhi Tongjian" to leave a name on the compilation team.
The three exchanged glances with each other, and in the end, it was Kong Xilu who spoke.
"The Six Classics are not so easy to note." Kong Xilu said succinctly.
Of course, the Six Classics are not easy to note, but is it the Six Classics themselves that are not good to note? What is not interesting is how the rulers need them to interpret the scriptures!
Jiang Xinghuo understood what Kong Xilu meant, and he naturally had a draft about it.
"The application of the scriptures contains two meanings."
"The first aspect is the study of the scriptures, that is, by commenting on the Six Classics, to reveal the relationship between the righteousness and the system, and to reorganize the entire system of the scriptures, so as to draw the law from the present."
"The second aspect is the method of governing the scriptures, that is, the method of studying."
Jiang Xinghuo didn't finish this sentence, but everyone present understood what he wanted to say, what method of governance did Jiang Xinghuo advocate? Naturally, practice brings true knowledge.
Gao Xunzhi was already a little drunk at this time, but when he heard this, he still bowed his head and said: "The most taboo in the study of scriptures is not to follow the original and follow the fragments, in fact, if Confucianism is a book, the Six Classics are the outline, if Confucianism is a tree, the Six Classics are the foundation, and the rest of the tributaries such as the Four Books are just born by fate. ”
"That's it." Jiang Xinghuo hit the railway while it was hot, "Confucianism, ethics, and righteousness can be known for centuries, and the "Six Classics" come from the same source, its purpose, righteousness, and etiquette system are the same, and its system and text are different from each other. How is it different from the skeletal structure diagram drawn in this booklet? Do you not look for the main bones, but for the small ones beside them? ”
Cao Duan was touched, but just these words may not be enough for them, because there are also risks in the face of huge interests.
They have to figure out what Jiang Xinghuo asked them to publish the article to do.
And the key to this lies not in the second aspect of Jiang Xinghuo's method of governance, but in the first aspect of "revealing the relationship between righteousness and the system".
Well, the map of Yan Kingdom has been spread for a long time, and this is finally revealing the dagger.
The "system" in Jiang Xinghuo's mouth is, of course, not a political system in the usual sense.
In fact, according to Zhu Xi's understanding, which is also the most standard understanding of the system in this era, there are two categories, of which "Zhou Li" is one category, that is, "the program of etiquette", and "Etiquette" and "Etiquette" are the other, that is, "degree of etiquette".
Seems strange? Why is it all etiquette?
It is not difficult to understand why the Ministry of Rites is nominally the number one ministry among the six ministries?
In the feudal period, etiquette is the way of behavior and norms in social activities and daily life, and the program and hub of the system in the country's politics and social rules.
And the relationship between righteousness and system is also very close.
Kong Xilu still didn't make up his mind at this time, this kind of major matter is not something that can be decided in a few words, if Jiang Xinghuo doesn't have a complete plan, he will have to make a new note on the Six Classics as the head of the Southern Kong family, even if it is him, the possible consequences of this are also uncertain.
Kong Xilu looked at Jiang Xinghuo's young face, and said slowly: "The one who builds the system, the pivot of history, the reason for the essence of the sages, and the rise and fall of the world, the chaos of the world, the Six Classics take the Ming system as a major example, after all, even if the "Spring and Autumn Period" is a small word, but to put it bluntly, it is still a book to guard against chaos and distinguish survival and death, the Six Classics are like this, all the safety and danger, the old saying is too much, and now it is prepared, it is nothing more than to use it to understand the number of successes and failures. ”
The subset of the scriptures and histories is at the front, and its words are also official chronicles; It is said that feudal Kyushu is also geographical; If it is used by the country, it will also be a food and goods journal; If he says the law, the criminal law will also; Its words are four yi, and the outside is also spread. In the final analysis, these things come out of the Six Classics.
"But where do you make your mind?"
This question also lingered in the minds of Cao Duan and Gao Xunzhi.
Yes, where do you come to solve the problem? This is not the imperial examination, the imperial examination involves a person or a group of people, to make annotations to the Six Classics, especially to start from the righteousness of the Six Classics, reflect on the past system, and endorse the current system reform.
If they do this forcibly, even if it is directly a joke, it will make people think that they have given up face and given stinky feet to those in power, which is unacceptable to any great Confucian.
It is an honor to participate in the official Note Six Classics, but behind this glory, there is something equally heavy.
Jiang Xinghuo did not hide it, but directly gave the answer that he, Yao Guangxiao, and Zhang Yuchu had thought about for a long time.
Jiang Xinghuo pointed at Kong Xilu and said.
"Confucius, two Confucius."
