First of all, in the first part, let's summarize the first volume: "The Blue Delinch Under the Cage".

Let's talk about what I like about the book.

When I first planned the book, I didn't think of the full plot, but some scenes that made me feel like "Wow, it feels like a magical girl", so I followed these scenes backwards and worked backwards to complete the outline of the book.

Two of these scenes are placed in the first volume.

One of them is a middle-aged uncle who ran in the dark to save his daughter, and finally shouted the word "transformation" in an extremely cold and vicissitudes tone before the battle, and then turned into a magical girl.

I thought it would be a very Kamen Rider scene, but it was used in the theme of magical girls, and it gave people a sense of misplaced beauty, so I didn't hesitate to use it.

In the second scene, in the hall in the dark of night, the magical girl fights with her rebellious old teammates, and then kills her old teammates in tears.

This scene must be familiar to all of you - it is inspired by a classic scene from Madoka Magi, and in this article, this is the story of Delphinium and Red Thoughts and the last part, but I haven't reproduced the original idea here.

At first, I set up Red Si and such a character, in fact, I intended her to be a pure traitor and then be liquidated by the protagonist, and even in the initial setting, the culprit of these incidents in Fangting City was actually this "degenerate old teammate", and there was no existence of the character Mousse.

It's just that with the improvement of the plot outline, I gradually found a problem - what does this have to do with the three little ones? They can't sleep at home, and the matter will be solved by the delphinium, right? In addition, because I was a little soft-hearted: I didn't think it was necessary for Red Si and this character to die like this, so I changed the plot.

After the change, it became what it is now, not the betrayal of the old teammates, but the manipulation of the old teammates - the mastermind behind the scenes is supposed to be a pure villain and a punching bag, who was beaten by the protagonist to vent the anger of the reader and me.

Of course, these are the stories before the book was opened.

It was actually very difficult to reproduce the perfect scene in my vision into a book, but after actually doing it, I realized that there were still a lot of defects in the outline, and I had to continue to improve it.

My planning for the first volume was not as complicated as it is now, and I imagined it to be a short process of the protagonist's comeback - daily life - discovering the mastermind behind the scenes - fighting the boss. But the word "everyday" in the outline is really the devil who urges me, and when I put a lot of effort into perfecting this part, the length of the first volume somehow became what it is now.

In the original design, I thought of a seemingly cool rhythm for the first volume: "The bright line takes the baby daily, and the dark line chases the murderer and reasoning". It sounded very idealistic – and it was, and it was true, and it soon became apparent that the line of reasoning could not be written at all.

Because the plot advancement of the reasoning line is destined to be more informative than the daily line, if I run the two lines in parallel, then readers who focus on the main line will only find the daily drama quite cumbersome; Readers who focus on everyday pleasure will feel that the reasoning line spoils the joyful atmosphere. Regardless of the reader's preference, the reading experience is not really good.

This contradiction is reflected in the early part of the article, that is, around chapter 30, before which I had been practicing the principle of double lines, but after chapter 30, when the delinium encountered the chrysalis beast for the first time, I understood: I can't write like this.

So I decided to make a change at that time: the reasoning dark line was cut off completely, and it was changed to enter the big event in stages to promote the plot.

That's why this book starts with the Sparrow Wars, and the main line is so long each time - I have a lot of cut information piled up in the main line to say, which should have been explained in the reasoning line.

And because writing is just a side hustle, I really don't have much time to revise the outline, which is the direct reason why I have been feeling a little ineffective for a while after it was put on the shelf, and it did lead to a period of quality degradation in the end. Thankfully, the scenes that inspired me – the confrontation with my old teammates – didn't go awry, and they ended up being of a quality that I was relatively happy with.

By the way, because of the tone of the first volume, I actually thought about the stupid question of "what kind of theme song would there be if this was a seasonal anime" when I was writing this part of the plot.
