Because of its specific historical background, Yuejiaquan requires "tolerance and affection, and no mercy", among which "going to the banquet with a single knife, subduing the dragon and subduing the tiger" is the stunt in the stunt.

Yuejiaquan pays attention to breath conditioning, "full of qi is full of strength". When practicing, pay attention to leading the qi with intention, handsome shape with qi, and urging force with qi. Only by doing it from the inside and outside, can we have sufficient vitality, majestic physique, agile movements, and heavy force, so as to achieve the unity of inside and outside, and the heart is moving.

Yuejiaquan also pays attention to ideas, and also has higher requirements in the usual sleeping, eating, and talking. Practitioners are required to be able to respond appropriately to a variety of attacks in any situation. Quan Puyun: "I sleep in bed, like a person standing in front of me, thinking about his hands and feet, I use push and pull; When I walk on the way, it seems that people are fighting with me, as if he has his hands, and my hands are merciless; I ate before the feast, like a man and my enemy, and suddenly his hand came, and my hand thought and sucked; I talk with people, fear of people is sticky, my heart is guarded first, people are difficult to come. ”
