Chapter Thirty-Eight: I Am a Lord
Josh still hadn't quite figured out Hermione's look that seemed a little inexplicable to him, but Josh didn't really care. Hermione looked a little embarrassed at the time, but it really didn't matter to Josh because she was too young.
For the rest of the day, Josh was completely fixed on his own time, and he would go to teach students in every grade every day. Most of his classes are in the morning, so there are basically no unpleasant things to happen with the players who train with Quidditch.
Of course, there couldn't be anything unpleasant, and those guys didn't dare to mess around with Josh that much. What's more, they themselves also like Josh's class very much, and of course Josh is not without trouble, because he has been complained by Mrs. Hooch several times about the destruction of the venue.
Because Josh was lazy, he put the third and fourth grades, the fifth and sixth graders togetherβthe seventh graders only had to teach them to meditate, and the rest of the time they were left to deal with themselves. These senior wizards had already mastered a lot of spells, so after a period of meditation, they also possessed magical elements.
This also leads to their actual combat training often causing some irresistible things to happen, such as Josh's acquaintance, Crouch Edward of Hufflepuff, who once beat people up. Although this guy seems to be a little scared of Josh, his talent is still very good.
This also caused the St. Mungo's Magical Injury Hospital to receive some students who were injured by various elemental magic every day, in addition to weekends and practical classes in the lower grades, which made Dumbledore very headache. But there is good news, and that is that there are no parents who complain about them.
As for the reason, there is no need to explain, Dumbledore once again lamented that it is good to have a guy like Josh in the house. But Madame Hodge didn't buy it, she was the professor of flying lessons and was in charge of the logistics of the Quidditch pitch, where the daily practical lessons were held, so you can imagine what would become of the turf that had been baptized with the elements of magic.
"It's like a grave has been stolen! There are holes all over the ground! β
At the end of one of the senior classes, Lady Hodge came to the Quidditch pitch and let out such an angry roar. And the most important thing is that she can't fix this damn turf in the first place, although she has also learned to meditate and also has magic elements, but this turf contains all kinds of magic elements with a very high density, and it is not something she can repair at all!
However, these things don't need Josh to worry about at all, all the troubles and problems have been blocked by Dumbledore, and Dumbledore should be the one who should have a headache. As for the troubles outside the school, Dumbledore dealt with them much more directly.
Like some aristocratic families asked for meditation cultivation methods, and because they were the school trustees, they pressured Dumbledore to directly throw them a sentence: Go to Professor Augustus, he invented it, or he brought it from his family, and we don't have ownership.
It's not that these families don't want to know from their children, but this thing has all been dealt with. No one can say it, no one can write it, and of course if you force it to do so, the result will be a curse of forgetting.
There are also people who are not afraid of death to find trouble with Josh, some rely on their status as school directors, and some rely on their own magic level. As a result, these people were directly bombarded by Josh in front of all the students, and they didn't even know their mother, and one of them was unlucky because he took the initiative to attack Josh, and the result was that Dumbledore notified his family to collect the body.
Taking the initiative to attack someone and then being killed, there is no such thing as a murderer, this is justified defense. And in front of all the students, there is nothing to refute, as for the people who came to collect the corpses, they only got a box of powder.
Since then, no one has dared to trouble Josh, and of course he has a few more names behind his back. For example, Augustus the Brutal, this is because Josh is very ruthless and kills people, so he has this name. Of course there is also the great pioneer Augustus, and this is because Josh's strength has been contributed by meditation.
I can't say which one Josh prefers, but his life is calm anyway.
After teaching the course in the morning, the afternoon is also the time for him to go head-to-head with Galen. At Galen's suggestion, mainly because Galen knew that Josh had a melee combat magic called the Void Blade, he suggested that Josh properly exercise his physical dexterity.
Josh accepts Galen's offer. He himself felt it, as if his body mass had increased a lot because of the void element, and he had also seen in some ancient handwriting that any power body would end up in the same end, which reminded him of the novels he had read before, as if the main character would basically make his body very powerful.
However, Josh is just a mage after all, although he feels that it is necessary to exercise his body, but he has no intention of making himself a muscular man like Galen, just exercise dexterity and flexibility to keep himself from suffering in melee combat.
In the evenings, it was his study time, and he spent a lot of time asking Dumbledore for advice or running to the library to check out the world's research on space. Although it was a little complicated, Josh could still understand it slowly, and his life was very fulfilling.
The days go by quickly, and before you know it, Christmas has arrived. Christmas is not a very meaningful holiday for Josh, in his previous life, he had no feeling about this holiday, the main reason was that he did not have a girlfriend, and then he traveled to the Mucha continent to give even more of a statement that there was no such holiday.
Galen, like him, simply couldn't understand the festival. Although he also attended the Christmas dinner with Josh, it was just a meal, and then he ran back to his room alone to continue his cultivation.
Josh wanted to leave, but as a professor, he stayed. This period of time has passed very peacefully, except for a few guys who don't have long eyes, the plot and anything are completely non-existent, of course, it is only the line between Voldemort and Professor Quirrell.
Harry Potter still won Quidditch, while his Ravenclaw finished third. This made these little guys uncomfortable, and Josh, as the dean, had to come forward to comfort them, anyway, Josh himself didn't care much about the house cup or something.
"I don't know if Dumbledore will be as biased towards Harry Potter as he was in the original books, but I don't care. But if the bias is so clear, then I can only talk to Dumbledore about it. β
Josh didn't care, but as the dean, he didn't want his house to be treated unfairly.
After the dinner, some of the young wizards chose to go home to reunite with their parents, while others stayed - such as Harry and Ron. Harry was reluctant to return to his aunt's house, fearing that he would never return to Hogwoods. Ron was more unlucky, his parents had gone to Romania to see his brother Charlie, so he had no choice but to stay.
But what Josh didn't expect was that he felt that his teaching was very ordinary, but a large number of students ran to him to say goodbye to him, and Josh had to respond one by one, and even Hermione, a girl who usually doesn't give him a good look, also came, which made Josh feel a little surprised.
Ever since Josh told her that her language and knowledge of the world came from her memories, the girl looked at Josh very strangely, and Josh thought that she had messed with Miss Know-It-All in the original book.
"I'm leaving tomorrow, Professor, aren't you going home?" Hermione, dressed in a black magic school uniform, still had a strained face.
"Me? I can't go back for a while. Josh sat at her desk and looked at Hermione with a smile. Don't you know? I'm not from this world, and if I go back now, I'm afraid I won't be able to get by. β
"Do they know about you from other worlds, Professor Dumbledore?"
"Of course I do." Josh found the girl very interesting. "Otherwise, do you think that there have been no meditation methods and magical elements in this world for thousands of years, why did they appear after I came? That's because I brought it from my world. β
"And what is the purpose of your coming to this world?" Hermione was curious, but she could tell she was nervous.
"Are you a police officer?"
Josh was a little amused, he suddenly felt that Hermione had come to his academy to think that he had come to this world with some conspiracy or some other nonsense. Josh didn't know that his guess was exactly right, but even if he knew, he would just laugh.
Hermione blushed a little at Josh's words, and Josh didn't continue to tease her but said directly: "Purpose, in fact, there is no purpose." It's just that this world is much slower than my one, and it's less dangerous than the world I've experienced before. Well, it's better to say that there is no danger, so I'm going to do a few experiments here for the time being. β
"The world before? And experiments? β
"Yes, that companion of mine is from the world I went to before. However, at that time, because of the language barrier, I was attacked by him as an invader from another world, and unfortunately I was about to run away, and this guy chased after me, and I took him away. Now he's with me to see if we can find our way home. β
Josh didn't know why he was willing to share some of his little secrets with her, and he hadn't told Dumbledore about his relationship with Galen. Of course, Josh also felt that Hermione was the first person he knew in this world, and the first person who knew that he was from another world, so he didn't hide so much.
"Time flows at different rates?"
"Of course, no matter how long I go back here, that's the point in time when I left, although it would be fatal for ordinary people. It's because of longevity, but it's not a problem for me at all, because it's not a problem for me to live a few hundred years casually. β
Since Josh didn't bother to hide it, he just told her all about this girl's curiosity.
"As for the experiment, don't you accept it too. My first experiment was to see if the meditation methods in other worlds worked, and now it seems to be working unexpectedly. As for the rest, then it's a matter of seeing if you can't help but fix the portal of this world. β
"Then I'll go back, and I can also bring a few trustworthy students with me to help me renovate my territory."
"Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you a premise. I am a prince, although I am the fourth, but I am still a lord. Well, very backward and deserted. β
