Section 3. Dawn Tavern

Annan is the third employee of the Dawn Tavern.

Aside from the bosses Fast and Martin, Evelyn is the oldest employee of the tavern, and according to Martin, Evelyn was here when he arrived. It's a young girl of the same age as Annan, with freckles on her cheeks. Responsible for staying at the counter and delivering alcohol.

Martin is always prone to messing things up, so he's only responsible for cleaning up the wine table and stealing leftovers after the guests leave. Annan was fed when he reminded him not to do this in front of Mr. Fast.

The newcomer, Annan, did the same job as Evelyn - only for the wine delivery part. But it's usually him and Martin who clean up the table. The guests preferred the only girl in the tavern to Annan.

Occasionally, Mr. Fast would help them with the work when he was busy. Most of the time, he was leaning against the counter with a thin sword on his shoulder, hugging his shoulders. Squinting slightly at the tavern and the old tale with the bard.

There are not many people in the tavern, and at most the bustling night hours are only half full.

At the end of the day, Pinglin is just a remote, outlying town on the edge of the forest with a population of two to three thousand. The poor could not afford to drink beer that cost several copper coins, and the rich despised the places where these rude people gathered. Only drunkards and inquirement adventurers sit here for hours.

There is also a bard.

Annan liked him very much, not only because he could learn words from his never-ending mouth, but also because of the magnificent and fantastical stories. For the most part, though, he couldn't understand the intonation and complex modifiers.

There are also stories about him with the smell of meat and all kinds of slang and swearing.

Learning a language often starts with a swear word, which is like the truth.

“…… The Warlock then 'tackles' the sexy female lizardman in the woods. With the low laughter of the drinker, Annan knew the polysemous word again.

Mr. Fas, the Bard, is an elite warrior and should not be in a small place like Hirabayashi. He has also tried his past countless times, but he has not succeeded.

Annan had not yet seen Mr. Fast make a move. Many people in the town knew from the Bard that he was an "elite warrior with a career", so no thief was stupid enough to let him do it.

In fact, Mr. Fast is a very friendly man, not so harsh, and sometimes makes jokes between men. However, the effect is mediocre, and most of the time only Evelyn's eyes can be harvested - Annan can't understand, Martin can't understand.

In his spare time, Annan was similar to Mr. Fast, listening to the stories of the bards, his eyes wandering over the guests who had the characteristics of adventurers.

Sadly, there are no elves or mages visiting the tavern, as for the orcs or dwarves...... Even if humans weren't that xenophobic, they wouldn't be able to come to the remote town of Hirabayashi.

And as the story of the bard unfolds, a world of swords and magic, gods and dragons, evil gods and pollution, demons and abysses, fantasy and treacherous unfolds.

Occasionally, Annan felt that the world was not so safe, such as when a rat tide flooded a city in the south, a cultist sacrificed a certain coastal town, a greenskin occupied a certain country, and a demon tide captured a certain pass.

"Annan."

Mr. Fast's call woke Annan from the story, and he pushed a glass of juice to Annan and pointed to the dark corner of the tavern: "Give this glass of wine to the lady in the corner." ”

Annan glanced at the figure sitting alone in the dark: "Mr. Fast, my lingua franca is not very good......"

Even this sentence is the most fluent he speaks.

"It's okay, you just say 'yes' and most of the problems will be solved." Mr. Fast patted Annan on the shoulder encouragingly.

Annan took the wine glass and followed the instructions to the wine table.

It was a beautiful lady with a high nose and three-dimensional features, she wore a long dress with rose-red flowers, long wavy fluffy hair, and her white arms on her chest and calves under the skirt shimmered with a hazy sheen. It has a temperament that is incompatible with this dilapidated tavern.

As Annan put down his glass and was about to leave, the lady suddenly asked, "I haven't seen you before." ”

"Yes."

"You're not from here?"

"Yes."

Annan felt that she was talking a lot, and the lady felt that he was a little bored: "You can't say anything other than this?" ”

"Yes."

The lady, who had been in a state of disinterest, looked at Annan with interest, swept her hair like a dark night, and paused in that unnaturally grayed face: "Boy, haven't you experienced the pleasure of a man?" ”

Annan subconsciously felt that something was wrong and looked back at the counter.

Mr. Fast looked at this side encouragingly and nodded.

"Yes......"

"So are you interested in "solving" me? ”

"Is it ......?"

Annan, who understood this, realized that he was being molested, and returned to the counter a little shyly.

Evelyn glanced at the boss who was watching the play, but Mr. Fast didn't care, and raised her glass to the lady she seemed to know.

"Why can you talk to female guests for so long, they just tell me to get out of the way when I pass......" Martin grumbled and leaned over.

"Why do you think Mr. Fast hired me?" Annan replied.

Martin's expression became strange at this point, huh...... It's certainly not what he thinks. But Annan's lingua franca was not sufficient to support his complex interpretations.

Towards the end of the night, the wine lady has departed, and the guests need to enjoy the silence now. Fast made a gesture to the bard. The latter will end the story being told, playing the lute in his arms.

Mr. Fast went back to rest, and Martin, who had replaced him, came to the post, standing guard with one eye and sentry with the other, and staring at every corner of the tavern.

"How did you do that?"

Annan looked in amazement at the wise Martin on the left and on the right.

"Why do you think Mr. Fast hired me?"

At midnight, the last two guests of the tavern shook each other away, and Evelyn flipped the sign on the tavern door until it closed.

The first day of work was not bad, and I was even lucky enough to get an untouched pumpkin pie.

Back at Aunt Susan's house, the lights in Aunt Susan and Uncle Holling's bedroom were only turned off after they returned.

Martin climbed into bed. Soon snoring sounded.

Annan took off his coat and put it beside the bed, and fell asleep contentedly and contentedly with a longing for the wizarding world.

He dreamed of a vast void, and four points of light that spread halos floated in front of him.

That green halo spreads life and kindness; The purple halo releases hot emotions and joy; Red is permeated with bravery and tenacity; The blue glow exudes wisdom and integrity.

Four balls of light haunted Annan, spreading beauty. But a pure black halo suddenly appeared, dispersing four balls of light, and suddenly emitting a golden light—Annan woke up from the sunlight that sparked his cheeks.
