Section 50. New Places to Live and New Ideas

Breeze City

It's like a place called the pleasant valley where there is a blizzard all day long, and the cold wind from the snow-capped mountains blows day and night in the forest and sea wilderness beneath your feet.

The warm winds are just one of the aspirations of the inhabitants of this northern city, and one of the distinguishing features is that the city of Breeze suffers several times more rheumatism than other towns.

Andrew Luna picks up Annan outside the city gates and makes them to the neighborhood where Morrowind's Tavern is located.

Annan saw a familiar figure, as in the Haunted Gold Mine, crutches, lame.

"You know?"

"Well, in Hirabayashi."

Annan briefly recounted the dream of the old Zorren gold mine. In a way, he was much luckier than himself......

"We call old Zoren 'Druid' because of the stick, which is always moldy and green, and because he can 'prophecy'"

It's really just a coincidence, who knew that this street actually lived Annan's "boss" in the haunted gold mine, and he was also a patrol officer in this neighborhood.

"Prophecy?"

"Whenever the sky is about to change, old Zolen's lame leg aches." Andrew Luna tells an interesting anecdote about the street, "Never go wrong. ”

"What is a patrolman?"

"It's about the same as a scavenger, check the street for rats."

Andrew Luna greeted old Zorren, who responded enthusiastically, and hesitated when he saw Annan next to him. He knew Annan and Martin, but the mage's robes and much better looks made him uncertain.

"Uncle Hollin asked me to say hello." Annan said politely.

Even though Uncle Hollin didn't know that old Zoren was here.

"Annan is a warlock now, and he'll be living in our neighborhood for a while." Andrew Luna said.

"It's really ...... You. Old Zollen's already crooked back was humble, but fortunately he didn't bully the cousins...... Except for the sour peas that time.

Martin suddenly asked, "How did I not know that Uncle Hollin said it?" ”

The atmosphere became a little awkward.

Andrew Luna eased the atmosphere and parted ways with Old Zoren and led them to the attic next to Morrowind's Tavern.

The basement here is a wine cellar - belonging to the female dwarf next to you. The first floor is a spinning mill, the second floor is a warehouse, and the warehouse is upstairs.

Soruman Copperbeard is richer than she thinks, but unfortunately she doesn't like Annan's type.

At this time, the factory is in operation, and women workers spin cotton threads like spiders spitting out spider silk in front of the bloated, cumbersome spinning machine.

Annan stepped on the rickety wooden staircase and looked at the group of women who were secretly looking this way, but it was by no means the same purpose as them...... The spinning wheel that was weaving slowly and heavily made Annan, who was full of heads full of how to make money, suddenly burst into his mind with a term: Jenny spinning machine.

The crunching of the spinning wheel became dull and faint as we reached the second floor. It sounds strange to use the second floor as a warehouse, but Annan saw that the storeroom had a continuous corridor that connected to the tavern next door

Finally ascend to the attic, where the sloping roof makes it look empty and crowded, with a thick layer of dust.

Living in such a place is undoubtedly a humiliation for the caster, but for Annan, who has just had a brilliant idea, even the dust that has been disturbed and drifted is as fragrant as pollen.

Everything was so flawless.

The attic on the third floor is difficult to get in and out of - it is surrounded by mostly private houses and second-story houses, so that the attic can overlook a large area of low roofs;

The attic only has bay windows at both ends - one side faces the snow-capped mountain and the other side faces the Mage Tower, surrounded by a beautiful view;

Next door is a noisy tavern - Fast and their friend Andrew Luna is next door, professionally guarded, so there is no need to worry about safety.

Andrew Luna was a little worried that this temporary accommodation would displease the little warlock, but found that he even looked happy......

With such a positive attitude, it is no wonder that the discouraged Fast wants to help.

Annan arranged his accommodation, followed by Martin.

Soruman Copperbeard suggested that Martin go to the Morrowind Tavern to do something, and Andrew Luna thought about it and agreed: "You worked as a buddy in the Tavern of Fast? Then come here, eat and live, and no one will dare to bully you. ”

"How much does it cost?" That's Martin's primary concern.

Annan was also speaking for his "cousin": "Martin gave up the opportunity to become Mr. Fast's apprentice in order to protect me. ”

Andrew Luna smiled: "Hmm...... How about a weekly salary of 1 silver? The tip goes to you, and if you perform well, you can get a raise. ”

With a salary increase, food and lodging, and tips, Martin has no reason to refuse.

"This needs to be cleaned up, Copperbeard, you can take them to buy some things first."

"There's some luggage on the carriage." Annan said.

"I'll take care of this."

The female dwarf beckoned to Annan and Martin: "Let's go, boys, follow me to meet the world." ”

The streetscape of Breeze City Annan had seen it last time, but Martin, who had lived in Hirabayashi Town for more than a decade, was exposed to these things for the first time. The passers-by around subconsciously looked like "another country boy", and when they saw Annan wearing a mage robe next to him, they hurriedly looked away.

Mages are not usually recognizable, but warlocks are impressive in both appearance and temperament.

"What do you want to buy?"

Soruman Copperbeard is like a local. She locked herself in the cellar in Hirabayashi, because whenever she went out, there would always be people staring at her, curious or ignorant.

And the people of Breez have long been accustomed to being alien - and they will hide that discrimination.

"Magic Scroll."

"You know I can't give this money."

"Then I don't have anything to buy." Annan looked at Martin, "What do you want?" ”

"I'm so hungry."

So the dwarf led them to the dining room.

Annan casually asked for mashed potatoes and vegetables, and it was Martin's turn.

"I want two portions of mashed potatoes, one large portion of pumpkin pie, one portion of steak multi-sauce, one serving of tomato soup, two servings of toast, and one serving of cheese"

Annan, the guests in line, and Soruman Copperbeard, who was ready to pay, couldn't help but look sideways.

“…… A creamy chestnut cake, a glass of blueberry juice, a hash brown. ”

"Have you finished eating?" Annan couldn't help but ask.

"I threw up too much in the carriage."

Dozens of minutes later, Annan, the dwarf, and Martin, holding a bulging belly, returned to Morrowind's Tavern.

After settling Martin, Annan revisited the old place with the spider by the way.

It didn't seem to know anything about it, though, and didn't want to crawl out of the cobweb-woven glass jar.

Coming to the warehouse from the second floor of the tavern, Annan asked Andrew Luna: "Do the spinning mills here use the machines below?" ”

"Like."

"It's old." Soruman Copperbeard knows his neighbors better, saying that the latest spinning machine is almost twice as fast as these.

However, there is still a gap of several times with Jenny's spinning machine.
