Section 120: "Titan Winchert"
May 1, 999 Yves Saint Laurent calendar.
Kingdom of Rikanre, port of St. Ollis.
Known as the "new star of the world's industry" and the "unsinkable" ocean-going giant ship, the Titan Wincht is about to embark on its first voyage.
Colorful flags fluttering in the harbor and people are buzzing. In a tavern on the docks, Annan and Michael have just won a ticket from a chest-beating dwarf.
The whistle echoed, and the Titan Winchert, carrying thousands of tourists and nearly a thousand crew members, set sail.
On the other side, Maria, a noble girl who came to the bow of the ship, was in deep pain. Because of the family's downfall, her mother forced Maria to marry Morgan, whom she didn't like, making her want to commit suicide by jumping into the sea.
Annan, who came to the deck, saw this scene and rushed over to save her. The two young men thus met.
Maria felt freedom and affection from this casual and cheerful boy, and Annan also fell in love with this girl who was reserved on the surface but hot on the inside. Then Maria took off her clothes, put on the jeweled necklace given by Count Morgan, and let Annan paint for him, and when they were finished, they kissed deeply......
And at this time, the giant ship of its first voyage hit an iceberg and was about to sink. At the same time, Morgan, who found his fiancΓ©e and Annan's misdeeds, angrily slandered Annan for stealing her gemstone necklace, locked him in the cabin, and took Maria to the deck, telling her that the ship was sinking and that they were going to escape in a lifeboat.
Maria, the unforgettable lover, ran back to the cabin to rescue Annan, and they struggled back to deck in the icy waters that poured into the cabin, where they saw the Titan Wincht, with its bow raised high and claiming to be "unsinkable", sinking.
They ran towards the heights, but as the Wincht broke in two, they fell into the icy waters along with countless others who had not boarded the lifeboats.
Annan gave up the chance of survival to his lover and pulled each other tightly until he froze to death in the icy waters-
β¦β¦
"Decades later, a team of adventurers collected, and the aged Margaery recounted the past, and then threw the jeweled necklace into the sea......"
Annan stopped whispering and writing, and looked up from the sad love story that never worked.
Next to it is a dictionary of the geography of the kingdom of Rikaner, a dictionary of lingua franca, and a love to use as a model.
"What do you think of this story?"
At this moment, Michael and Lady Wine, Francois, Soluman Copperbeard, Andrew Luna, and Deella gathered in the study.
Francois first asked, puzzled: "Isn't this year 998?" β
"Uh...... I misremember. β
Annan bowed his head and smeared 9 and added 8 next to it.
"That ship is called the Titan Wincht?" The wine lady asked.
"I promised you that I would name the machine after Winchert in the future......" Annan did not see joy in the face of the wine lady, and he might have been self-defeating.
Bow your head and circle the "Titan Winchert" to indicate that it is pending.
Soruman Copperbeard also snorted, "Why the dwarves? β
"I hope my friends will join in."
"Maria? Morgan? Isn't that the Countess......" exclaimed Francois who found something.
Annan's face was slightly red: "The name is only temporary, and it will be changed again." β
Dela's whisper then floated out of the shadows: "So you painted and did that kind of thing with the count's lady in the earl's manor, in the earl's bedroom?" β
"Nope! The story is fictional, just for the sake of storytelling. β
Annan, who needed to divert his attention, asked Michael who had not yet commented: "What do you think?" β
"Isn't there a spellcaster on this ship?"
ββ¦β¦ No. β
"And what about the cultists of the goddess of the sea or the goddess of storms?"
ββ¦β¦ Nor did it. β
Michael pondered: "This ship has no spellcasters, and there are no church believers, is it an evil sacrificial ritual......"
"There are no such conspiracy theories...... Just an accident. β
"Just an accident?"
"It was just an accident."
"Frankly...... This kind of story is put in the tavern, and the bard will be thrown a bottle. Michael commented, "It doesn't feel as good as "Law Breaks the Sky." β
"Because the story will be presented in a unique way."
"A stage play? "Lazy Dale's Poetry"? β
"Almost."
"Then I'm okay with that."
Annan looked at the rest.
"I have a question, where are Annan's companions?" Andrew Luna asked.
That's right...... the companion of 'Annan'......
Annan recalled the plot of the original book, but he couldn't remember anything.
"Why a ship?" Then Soruman Copperbeard asked, "Dwarves hate the sea. β
"Because uh...... This is a historical event that really happened. β
"Not Yves Saint Laurent 998?" Francois asked.
"Moving the time to the present can give the audience a sense of substitution."
"The old man who appears at the end is actually the future?"
ββ¦β¦ That's fine. β
"So where did this historical event take place?"
"Okay, don't ask Francois again......"
Andrew Luna, as a bard, asks, "Why is there such a play-within-a-game structure as 'an old man tells a story'?" β
"This allows us to immerse ourselves in the story from the perspective of a listener."
Michael jumped out of the discussion itself: "Annan, you don't need to do these things if you want to be famous, just a scandal can make you spread all over the city." β
"And then it didn't take long to be replaced again?" Andrew Luna disagrees, "Annan is doing the right thing, he needs to step out of the shackles." β
Only then did Michael understand Annan's plan: not to be like "Law Breaks the Sky", but to become the protagonist of the stage play.
The Wine Lady echoed the Bronze Whiskers: "The unsinkable ship is not attractive enough to the people, sweetheart, you must know that many people have never even been out of Breeze City, and they do not yearn for the ocean. β
In the grand scheme of things, this kind of story will also trigger distrust of industry among the public, which is not conducive to the future of Annam.
So where should the story be placed if it doesn't take place at sea?
The Mage Tower standing outside the window inspires Annan: "How about we let the Mage Tower collapse?" β
"Uh......"
Michael groaned, and everyone didn't dare to speak, but Annan thought more: "The Mage Tower was destroyed and rebuilt, right?" That's where we can put the story in place. The passengers who board the ship are then replaced by a group of nobles and commoners who get the invitation to the Mage Tower, and the protagonist wins the invitation from the dwarves...... Then the story of the nezumi attacking the Mage Tower and causing the Mage Tower to fall. β
"But there's no such activity in the Mage Tower."
"The audience doesn't know."
"I'm fine." Let's be honest...... Michael would love to see the story. Others too.
But there's still a question: will it get you in trouble?
Michael thought for a moment, "You are the king of the North, and at most some mages will want to beat you." β
Annan decided to change the background from a sea ship to a mage tower.
The people of this world will no longer quarrel over "whether that plank can carry two people". Annan thought.
