Chapter 216: The Split Is Complete
Back from Hagrid's Cottage. Ron reconciles with Hermione.
The trio searched for materials in the library and wanted to help Hagrid, and they found various cases to analyze in order to win the lawsuit.
Nyx did it simply, he wrote a letter to Cornelius Fudge in the name of the Lestrange family, hoping that Hagrid would be treated fairly, and that if he won the case, he could privately fund the Ministry of Magic.
There was no threat on the letter, the child's threat was a joke, and Cornelius Fudge didn't take it seriously, but just sent a bag of gold galleons at the same time as the letter, and talked about sincerity.
A few days later, the Knicks received a reply in which Cornelius Fudge said he would look into the case and thanked the Lestrange family for their funding.
In the common room, Nicks showed the letter to Hermione in the evening.
Hermione asked curiously, "Nix, is the Lestrange family very influential?"
"I don't think I had much influence until I grew up, my two uncles were Death Eaters, they were imprisoned in Azkaban, and if Voldemort was the Minister of Magic, I guess I could have released Buckbeak. But for King's sake, they're not going to get completely close to Malfoy."
"And if we lose the case again, will they give you back the Golden Galleon?" Hermione asked.
Knicks smiled: "How is it possible, that's a necessary effort, Cornelius Fudge will be good to take it, if he doesn't take it, Hagrid is doomed." Hagrid won't necessarily win, and it's up to you to convince the jury."
Ron interjected, "I've also written to my dad, asking him for help."
"If Mr. Arthur were willing to go to the jury with a large sum of gold gallons, I would have a very good chance of winning the case, but unfortunately he wouldn't do that." Nicks lamented.
"Do you have to rely on Golden Galleon?" Harry asked.
Knicks shook his head, "Not necessarily, everyone's way is different. Dumbledore relied on prestige, he just sat there and the jury would give the verdict he wanted.
Mr. Arthur relies on friendship, he has a good relationship with many people, many things can be said with just one word, if he knows about Buckbeak in advance, he can not file a case.
Malfoy relied on means and checks and balances. I'll have to rely on the Golden Galleons, and when you graduate and work at the Ministry of Magic, I can rely on you."
"To be like Percy?" Ron asked.
"Yes."
"Then I'd rather go to Egypt and raise dragons with Charlie."
Harry wondered, "Nix, what do you plan to do after graduation?"
"Stay in school, preferably as a Potions professor." The school is a very nice place, and every year new test subjects appear.
Nicks suddenly said, "By the way, Harry, you tell Hagrid that I have a potion that will make him more eloquent, and maybe help him defend him a little more eloquently, but the potion that makes him eloquent is not suitable for him."
Harry nodded.
There is a room for requirement.
Nicks came in and saw a large number of dead rats, only three of them were still alive, two of them were fighting, and the one who ate the remains of the Dementors was watching.
One of the rats fighting was strong and crazy, and his attacks were unorganized, while the other was fast and always dodged attacks by a fraction of a second, as if exercising his fighting power.
Through the system, the Knicks knew that one of them was a Bound Sequence 8 Maniac and the other was a Grim Reaper Sequence 8 Gravedigger.
The characteristic of a madman is that he trades his brain for combat power. It is physically strong, and it attacks in a disorderly manner.
The gravedigger also has a strong body, but it is not as good as a madman who sacrifices his brain to increase his combat power. However, the Gravedigger has an eye of death and can see a lot of things, so it always dodges attacks at critical moments.
The rats watching the play have also changed from a mixed sequence to a single sequence, and the bound person sequence 6 is a living corpse.
Nicks cast a spell on two rats.
"Fainted"
The madman's rat fell in response, and the other dodged.
The mouse watching the play next to him stepped back slightly, distancing himself from the Knicks.
Nicks stuns the gravedigger-like rats with several more spells, and he finds that spells are better against rats than guns. Although the guns attack fast, the rats can resist hard, and although the magic speed is a little slower, the rats can't resist.
Nicks twists off the bodies of the two rats and gets two potions to replace.
Turn and raise your wand to the last mouse.
It seems to sense the killing intent of the Knox and resurrects all the dead rats and tells them to attack the Knicks.
The Nyx unleashed a black flame, and the corpse stepped into the flames and was slowly burned to ashes, but the mouse was fine. It is a Sequence 6 living corpse that is not afraid of fire, drowning, or a variety of magic.
The high and low sequences are not everything, and there are many kills in the high sequence by one or two levels lower. Relatively speaking, animals are easier to deal with than humans.
Before, this mouse was a hybrid ability, and there was no way to define the level of the sequence, it had the ability to wake up corpses, but it was afraid of flames, and it could make frost but not flames.
If he hadn't been afraid of flames in the first place, it would have been difficult for the Knicks to restrain it.
The key problem is not the strength of the ability, but the fact that after a single sequence, the mouse regains its clarity, and the potion strengthens its intelligence, so that it understands how to fight, and is no longer blindly rushing to self-detonate.
It moves quickly, has a small body, moves with a phantom, and rushes towards the Knicks.
Nicks unfurls his dark wings, instigating a few blows to fly and accidentally crashing the chandelier.
The rat stopped, swooped at the Knicks, and slashed through the Nix's body at great speed.
The Knicks felt a piece of flesh being ripped off of his calf. He angrily threw a spell at the rat.
"Fainted" "Four" "Legs Stiffened and Stopped"
After a few spells, he found that the rat was too fast, and the spell couldn't hit the rat at all.
The Abyss Shackles are very hidden, the speed is not as fast as the spell, the blood servant transformation is silent, but the speed is not as good as the Abyss Shackles, but the Nicks are not helpless with it, the mouse is not afraid of ordinary flames does not mean that it is not afraid of fierce fire, and the fierce fire can basically burn anything, the problem is that Nicks needs the corpse of the mouse, and what is the point of burning everything he does.
After a stalemate, Nicks realizes that the chandelier has broken and darkened the room, and he puts an oversized abyssal shackle in an attempt to catch the rat.
The rat is very smart, it makes some ice mirrors to enhance the light and keep itself in a relatively safe area.
"Four."
The Knicks shattered some of the ice mirrors, and the rats quickly replenished some of them, both at about the same rate.
After thinking about it, the Knicks turned around and left the Room of Requirement, returned to the common room and found Tifa and said, "Let's go, take you to practice."
"Actual combat? And with whom?" Tifa is excited, and this year's Professor Lupin has taught a lot of ways to deal with dark creatures.
Hermione, beside her, looked up as well.
Nicks explained, "My experiment worked, but the rat also became cunning. I'm just going to take you to try it."
