The following year, he invested in the establishment of his own plastic products processing factory, Nanya Rubber Factory, which directly produced a part of the plastic raw materials and put them on the market.

Since then, Wang Yongqing's production of plastic powder has continued to increase, from an initial output of 1,200 tons per year to 1 million tons now, making his company the world's largest producer of PVC plastic powder.
When Taiwan's business community rushed to the timber industry, Wang Yongqing decisively turned to the rubber industry. However, when he gained a firm foothold in the plastics industry, he took a far-sighted view to pay attention to the timber industry from which he made his fortune in the first place.
Wang Yongqing saw that due to the good sales of timber in Taiwan, merchants cut down a large number of trees, but all he wanted was the trunk part, and there were a large number of branches and branches, all of which were abandoned in vain and wasted. Wang Yongqing thinks that Taiwan's cotton production is seriously insufficient, and it has been relying on imports to supplement, and if these waste branches are used to make man-made fibers to replace natural fibers, there will definitely be broad prospects! After investigation and demonstration, in 1964, Wang Yongqing began to establish Taihua Fiber Industry Company. Two and a half years later, a man-made fiber factory with the world's first coherent operation was erected at the foot of Bagua Mountain in Xinhua, Tainan. It turns a large amount of discarded wood waste into textile fibers, which not only saves foreign exchange, but also reduces costs, and writes a strong stroke for the development history of Taiwan's fiber industry! The three major enterprises of Formosa Plastics, South Asia and Taiwan Chemical made Wang Yongqing ranked third among the 50 major manufacturers in Taiwan at that time!
