Chapter 281: A Dream Start?

Before the game, Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti exchanged pleasantries on the sidelines.

For Carlo Ancelotti, Stamford Bridge was once his home stadium, but it was the dismissal of the Chelsea hierarchy on the bus that year that became a lifelong pain.

It's not that Ancelotti can't accept being fired, but he can't accept being ousted without dignity.

Although Ancelotti never said it, anyone with a discerning eye could see that he had a deep hatred for Abu.

Now that he is leading the team back to Stamford Bridge, he naturally hopes to show his ability in front of Abu to avenge his dismissal on the bus.

After listening to the theme of the Champions League and a simple handshake ceremony, Bayern drew the first kick-off opportunity.

The two sides set up their formations, and after the referee's whistle, the game began.

Thiago kicked off in the centre circle and passed straight back to Martinez.

Martinez won the ball and then split it to Lahm.

This is how Bayern's attacking organization opens.

However, it is not a threat to Chelsea's doors.

Instead, Chelsea organised a more dangerous attack after getting the ball.

Diego Costa won the ball and cut into the right side of the penalty area and fired a low left-footed shot from a tight angle.

It's a pity that he didn't hit the power, and he was easily obtained by Neuer.

It was the first shot of the game.

Chelsea then insisted on a steady counter-attack, while Bayern continued Pep Guardiola's pass-and-control style.

Carlo Ancelotti is not the kind of manager who makes big moves, he is more adept at adapting the current situation of the team and then making small adjustments to bring out the real quality of the team.

In the 11th minute, Chelsea took a surprise lead.

Nemanja Matic scrambled the ball up front for Eden Hazard.

Hazard won the ball in the middle circle and changed lines in a row to break through the three-man block.

Eden Hazard burst into the right side of the box and crossed to deflect Alaba's interception.

From 12 yards out, Hazard curled a left-footed curling shot.

The ball flew between the two Bayern centre-backs and towards the bottom left corner of the goal.

Neuer made a good save, but he was just short of keeping the ball out.

The goal went in, 1-0.

Relying on Eden Hazard's one-on-one breakthrough shot, Chelsea took an early lead over Bayern.

It was only Chelsea's fifth shot on goal of the game, while Bayern have yet to get one.

Influenced by Pep Guardiola's pass-and-control mentality, Bayern players have become accustomed to opening gaps by passing.

Eden Hazard looked very excited after scoring the goal, and after breaking through the league four days ago, he finally broke through in the Champions League.

Let's hope he can continue his form.

After conceding the goal, the Bayern players finally woke up and began to intensify their attack.

In the 13th minute, Douglas Costa crossed from the left.

Cahill nodded the ball but headed towards goal.

Vidal headed the ball from five yards out.

Cahill made up for his mistake and headed over the crossbar with a header in front of the goal line.

In the process, Jose tried to strike several times to take it down.

But the sixth sense told him that if he attacked rashly, he was likely to be caught by the opponent and hit the empty goal.

Jose knows that most of the Chelsea players have not been at their best this season, so he does not expect his team-mates to cooperate with him, but can only fill in the gaps of his teammates as much as possible.

Bayern's corner kick is taken.

Big foot passes into the box.

Without any threat, Jose plucked the ball straight into the air.

With Jose's current ability, there is no difference between a high ball in the small penalty area and a direct pass to him.

Jose quickly took the ball in goal and Chelsea counter-attacked quickly.

Unfortunately, when Matic broke through with the ball, Vidal cut off the ball.

The midfield battle was once again in full swing.

Bayern's attack appeared unhurried, while Chelsea's defence was methodical.

The scene of the game was extremely dull at one point.

In the 40th minute, Chelsea had another quick counter-attack.

Nemanja Matic scrambled forward.

Diego Costa suddenly stepped forward, chested the ball before the opposition player and burst into the right side of the box.

With Martinez interfering, Diego Costa fired into the near corner of the six-yard box.

Manuel Neuer made a block and stretched out his foot to keep the ball off the line.

Chelsea came close to leading by two goals.

At the end of the dreary first half, Bayern had 62 per cent possession and Manuel Neuer had 36 touches, more than any other Chelsea player.

Bayern's possession of the ball was used to pour its feet at the back.

Jose never imagined that he would not need to make a few saves when the opponent had the advantage on the field.

A long season is coming to an end and Carlo Ancelotti has not completely erased the traces left by Pep Guardiola.

Bayern hired any manager for the sole purpose of winning the Champions League.

But for now, Ancelotti still has a long way to go if he wants to lead Bayern to the big-eared cup they covet.

At halftime, fans left messages.

"It's not good to be fat, Bayern's offense is grinding, and when you attack the opposite side, the bus has been set up for a long time."

"Mu Bird: In terms of defensive ability, it's not about anyone, everyone here is a younger brother."

"Why put Muller on the bench, if it weren't for Muller, Bayern would have made it to the last four?"

"It's said that An Fat doesn't know how to be flexible, and he didn't tell you to use Guardiola's tactics directly."

In the second half, the two sides exchanged venues, and Bayern's offensive was significantly strengthened.

It seems that Ancelotti has made a new deployment.

The first is that the attack on the two flanks has become direct.

The second is that there are fewer back-to-backs and they start to have long balls up front.

In the end, Lewandowski's high point was exploited.

With these changes, Bayern suddenly had more opportunities.

In the 46th minute, Douglas Costa crossed from the left.

In the penalty area, Lewandowski beat Cahill's header.

The ball flies straight above the goal.

Lewandowski's header was not much of a threat.

Jose jumped lightly on the spot and confiscated Lewandowski's header without any pressure.

Jose took the goal kick and Chelsea counter-attacked.

Unfortunately, it didn't open up a shot on goal.

Bayern struck again.

Lewandowski won the ball on the left, shook off Ivan and fired a low cross into the box.

Unfortunately, Lewandowski's pass was a little slow, and by the time the ball reached the middle, Coman had already run over.

The ball continued to roll towards the right side of the penalty area.

On the right side of the penalty area, Vidal won the ball, 15 yards from goal, and hit the goal with his feet.

Jose didn't make a save as Stones took the lead to keep the ball out.

The excellent performance of his teammates can greatly reduce the burden on Jose.

The game continues.

Bayern almost equalized in the 54th minute.

Chelsea in the ribs, Martinez crosses.

The ball is at Alaba's feet.

From 35 yards outside the box, Alaba was on the verge of advancing with the ball and deceived Cesar Azpilicueta, who was marking him, before striking a left-footed shot at goal.

The ball flew like a high-speed cannonball to the top right of the goal.

Jose was in the center of the goal at this time, and Alaba's sudden long-range shot really caught him by surprise.

Jose reacted quickly, taking a step towards the right side of the goal, then leaping to his feet with his left hand towards the top right corner of the goal.

Jose's fingertips touched the ball, slightly holding up the ball's flight height, and the ball hit the crossbar with a "clang~" sound, and finally bounced back to the edge of the penalty area.

John Stones was the first to be taken out of the box.

Alaba's sudden long-range shot and Jose's flying in front of the goal to save all moved the people at the scene.

Alaba and Bayern Munich hugged each other, while the Chelsea fans cheered loudly.

The funniest scene was when Mourinho was so excited that he jumped out of his pocket.

Only Ancelotti is still relatively calm, he is used to seeing big scenes, and he will not lose his temper because of a missed opportunity.

The game continued, and it was still Bayern who had the ball.

Chelsea were very passive.

Jose Mourinho anxiously commanded on the field, played at home, and scored only one goal, but it was not enough.

Carlo Ancelotti also stood on the sidelines, and he looked much more relaxed.

Playing away from home, just conceding a goal, is not the end for Bayern, and the second leg back to the Allianz Arena, Bayern still has a lot of opportunities.

In the 58th minute, Douglas Costa took a corner kick from the left.

Martinez headed home from 10 yards out.

The ball flew straight into the bottom left corner.

Martinez's header is many times more threatening than Lewandowski's header.

Fortunately, Jose was prepared, standing in the middle of the goal, he quickly fell to the left side of the goal and confiscated the ball on the goal line.

It's hard to imagine that Bayern's two most dangerous shots so far have come from centre-backs.

In the 64th minute, Carlo Ancelotti replaced Ribery with Koeman.

Before you know it, Ribery is 33 years old, and as a speedy winger, his fitness and speed have dropped a lot compared to his peak, and Ancelotti didn't let him start, naturally thinking that he couldn't play the whole game.

Of course, thanks to the development of modern science, the career of modern players can be extended to 34-35 years old.

In the last century, once a player reached the age of 30, the club would only offer a professional contract signed once a year, apparently believing that the player had reached the end of his career and could retire at any time.

After Ribery came on, Bayern's attacking effect did not change.

So Carlo Ancelotti made another substitution.

Muller, who had high hopes from the fans, came off the bench to replace midfielder Thiago.

With four strikers in front, Ancelotti is going to give it a go?

In the 74th minute, Vidal won the ball on the right side.

It was not guarded or intercepted.

Most of Chelsea's players have retreated into their own penalty areas.

Vidal dribbled the ball smoothly to the right side of the penalty area and suddenly got up to hit the goal, and the ball flew straight to the top left of the goal.

Although none of his team-mates interfered with Vidal, Jose has been quietly watching the movement of all the players.

When Vidal got up and shot at goal, Jose responded at the same time.

He leaped to the left side of the goal and punched Vidal's shot out of the box.

Outside the left side of the box, Douglas Costa wins the ball.

Ivan blocked it.

At this point, Ribery rushed out from behind.

Douglas Costa passes through and the ball goes to Ribery's feet.

On the left-hand edge of the six-yard box, Ribery kicks home.
