Chapter 41: Christmas

When he woke up early in the morning, Harry saw the hill-like pile of packages at the foot of his bed.

"Merry Christmas," Harry fumbled out of bed, put on his dressing gown, and said to Ron, who was also sleepy-eyed.

"Merry Christmas," Ron responded.

"Harry, come and see, I've got a couple of gifts!" Ron said with some excitement, "Guess what I'll receive?" ”

Of course he was happy, especially Christmas. That's because the Weasleys are so big that he receives a lot of Christmas gifts from friends and family every year.

"Harryβ€”" Ron was about to show off the package next to his bed, when he jerked back to see that Harry had far more packages than his. It's as high as a hill.

Some of it even spilled over to Melda's bedside.

"Oh my God? Who will send you so many gifts?"

"I don't know." Harry shook his head and said in surprise.

"Look, what's there?"

"Okay."

Harry picked up the paper bag on top. The package was small, and it looked like his owner should have been the last to send it.

Unwrapping the paper packet, there was only one note inside.

We have received your letter with a Christmas gift for you. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Penny.

Glued to the strip of paper with scotch tape was a fifty pence coin.

"Hmph. Not bad. Harry said.

I remember that his Christmas present last year was a sock worn by Dudley.

The year before last, it was an unwashed soup spoon.

Harry tossed the little note aside, then gave Ron the fifty pence coin.

Ron had always been interested in Muggle stuff. Harry gave him the coin.

"Look at the others." Ron said as he put the coin away.

"Hmm!"

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

The following morning, Harry and Ron spent the rest of the morning unpacking in their dorm room.

There's a full set of Quidditch armor from Professor McGonagall.

There was Hagrid's own handiwork, a very crudely made flute.

There is a photo of Appleby Arrows sent by Wood.

There are all kinds of messy things, most of them are snacks and small toys and stuff.

Oh! There was also a Weasley-like sweater, a bright green hand-knitted sweater, and a large box of homemade fudge, which Ron's mother had given him.

Harry tasted a piece of creamy fudge and found it very sweet.

The next gift, too, was sugar, a large box of horseshoe-shaped chocolates from Hermione.

Of course, Harry was surprised the most by the two gifts from Slytherin.

One was sent by Snape.

It's a powerful antidote. Presumably because he was afraid that Melda would poison Harry one day.

The other is unsigned.

Harry opened the package and found that it was a beautiful gown, bejeweled, but it didn't look like it was for boys, and the edges and corners of the dress were embroidered with mistletoe. As if silently saying something...

"No signature?" Ron said strangely as he took the package of the package. "It's just Slytherin."

"Could it be a mistake?" Harry worried. He didn't want to take the wrong Christmas present, maybe someone else was looking forward to it at the moment.

"Even if it's a mistake and there's no signature, do you know who to send it back to?"

"Let's take it first, if someone comes looking for it, we can just return it."

"Hmm!"

Next, there was Melda's gift, which Harry didn't want at all, because Harry could guess what it was in its packaging.

When I opened it, it was the light blue potion, and even Melda thoughtfully added a small note, which said that the words "refreshment potion" had been added.

Harry quickly slipped the potion into his pocket and began to unpack the last paper bag as usual.

It was a very light paper package.

The paper bag is unpacked.

Something like a liquid, silver-gray slid down to the floor, clumping together and shining.

"Oh my God!" Ron hurriedly tossed aside the box of weird beans Hermione had given him. "I've heard of this," he whispered. ”

"It's precious."

"What's that?"

Harry picked up the gleaming silver fabric from the floor. It was strange to the touch, as if it had been woven with water.

"It's an invisibility cloak." Ron said, a look of awe on his face, "Put it on and try it." ”

After putting the Cloak of Invisibility on his body, Harry discovered his magic.

He took three steps and two steps, and rushed to the mirror. But in the mirror, only his head was hanging in the air, and his body was completely gone. When he pulled the cloak of invisibility over his head, he disappeared completely from the mirror.

"There's a note here!"

Harry took off his robe and grabbed the letter.

In a long, slender, looped font he had never seen before, the following lines were written: Your father left this thing for me before he died. It should be returned to you now. Use it well. I sincerely wish you a Merry Christmas.

Again, there is no signature.

Harry stared at the note with a little distraction.

His father's stuff.

It was the first time since he was born that he had a piece of his father's belongings.

As he pondered who had sent it to him, the door to his dorm room slammed open, and it was Fred and George rushing in.

"Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" Harry said, hiding the Cloak of Invisibility under his covers. He must not let the Weasley Twins look at the cloak.

Unless he wants no more peace in all of Hogwarts.

"Where's Melda?" Fred looked around and found no trace of Melda.

"He's still sleeping!"

Ron pointed to Melda's bed, and sure enough, there was a small bag wrapped in it, and if you looked closely, you could see that the small bag would rise and fall every few seconds.

"He wrote a lot of letters yesterday!"

"Very, very much."

"I don't know what he slept on, I guess it's early in the morning."

Harry carefully put away all the gifts that everyone had given him.

Precious or not, those will be his most precious things.

"Hey, you're so noisy!"

Melda seriously suspected that Jesus was a sorcerer.

Like the idle and boring wizards of the Middle Ages, they performed in front of Muggles how to be properly burned at the stake.

But no matter how you say it, in short, this festival has been handed down.

Then weed out the bad taste of a wizard who deceived the whole world.

This festival has also metamorphosed into an ordinary festival of pure reunion and reunion nature.

By the way, interject.

The mages of Europe, especially England, generally believed in Merlin.

Among them were the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff.

As for the other two...

Godric Gryffindor probably only believed in the sword in his hand.

And Salazar Slytherin, that's even more powerful, and the ambition of others can surpass Merlin one day.
