Sanjiang and shelf testimonials
There has been a rumor that my daily updates are short before they hit the shelves.
Let me clarify, not a rumor.
Because of all kinds of messy reasons, plus there are not too many manuscripts, many times there is no 4000 daily changes.
Counting the shorter chapters caused by the previous text deletions, the average number of updates per day for the past month or so has been between 3,000 and 3,500 words, which is the length of a chapter for many second-year authors.
It won't be like this anymore! (Otherwise, I wouldn't be full-time)
Whether it's the length of each chapter or the amount of updates every day, you can see what it means to be different!
If there are no accidents, the book will be on the shelves tomorrow. After it is put on the shelves, 6 chapters will be updated in the morning.
By the way, I've been trying to learn about writing ever since I finished "The Little Priest Contains the Divinity."
I've been exposed to a lot of books that teach people story strategies, mainly for screenwriters. The understanding of the whole story has also been raised by a big notch.
I've also disassembled a lot of movies, comics, and novels in a row. Sort out how the contradictions of each story arise and advance, sort out the goals and obstacles of each character, and see all the twists and turns in the development of the story.
For example, Duncan's tens of thousands of words after logging into the game for the first time is actually a variant version of the "hero's journey", the transformation of an ordinary streamer to grow into a real magician.
Of course, to this day, the road is not complete. When unloading Dawn, the hero is still in the darkest hour.
During this period, I interspersed a lot of contradictory lines, which is a technique I learned from some long-form comics-
Multiple lines of contradiction advance synchronously, influencing each other, turning and motivating events for each other. Together, weave a wonderful story.
Of course, when I used it in the novel, I still found some problems.
First of all, novels are not like comics, where they can be easily transitioned through a storyboard.
Moreover, in the case of insufficient updates, advancing multiple contradictory lines at the same time will give people the illusion of a slower pace.
So I'm also trying to find a style that suits me and adjust it in time.
In the future, I plan to hide some of the contradictory lines behind the scenes, and when it comes to this line, I will use a few more flashbacks.
The current posthumous reading is 2849. Much higher than when my last book hit the shelves.
It's a very inspirational story.
Because it shows that expository writing is indeed a skill that can be learned and trained. It's not all the spur of genius and the random gift of God's partiality. God rewards hard work, and there is also a reward for paying.
This article is biased towards POV, group portraits, non-fast-paced, no fandom traffic, and no hot topics in the current issue, whether there can be results, I was also very nervous before opening the book.
It is the support of you, every reader who follows the update, that has brought me to this point!
This article is not easy for me to navigate. So I'm also actively looking for self-improvement.
I'm still dismantling the works of famous authors, and every time I disassemble them, I get something to gain. The harvest was so great that it even made me suspect that I had awakened to the "Book Demolition System".
"Congratulations to the host for awakening the book dismantling system, as long as you disassemble the fire book, you can learn the author's skills."
"Dismantled the A book and learned the skill [Grass Snake Gray Line, Thousands of Miles of Pulses]."
"Dismantled the B book and learned the skills [character arc, psychological dark line]."
Of course, the above is a joke.
Finally, thank you readers for your support and for being with you all the way.
I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations.
We ask for your support to subscribe!
Subscription is the author's food and clothing, which directly affects the subsequent exposure recommendation.
For every 200 more than 1,000 for the first order, 1 chapter will be added.
But don't forget, I'm already going to add 4 chapters tomorrow morning.
If it turns out that the amount of more is less than 4 chapters, then it will be deducted from the future chapters!
That's it.
Thank you! QAQ
