188. No one can refuse Horus
An order from Terra informed Horus that he would lead his legion to fight alongside the Death Guards of the Fourteenth Legion.
Horus didn't care much about the world that was about to be conquered, and the planet colonized by humans had also issued a surrender request to the Empire a while ago, but because the ships sent by the Empire to this planet had no contact, he chose to let the Legion come over.
According to the last message from the Imperial ship, the planet appears to be disrupted by some kind of psionic alien, and the reason given by the Empire is that the Death Guard has a presence that can be "targeted".
The direct summons from Makado made the language of this section vague, and Horus could not tell from these few lines what the Death Guard could "target".
But just as Horus had thought before, he didn't care about that, the warriors of the two legions were enough to easily set foot on all this, and Horus obviously cared more about this new brother to the empire than this planet.
Usually the returning original brothers will be led by Horus to integrate into the empire, about Motarian, Horus learned that he would have been the one who led him, but for some reason, the regent Machado intervened in the friendship between the brothers and took away the power that belonged to him.
It's not a good start, and cunning mortal psionics shouldn't be involved in things between them.
Horus was supposed to be the one who welcomed their brothers into the Empire, and as the first Primordial to be recovered, he wanted him to welcome his brothers.
From the words of his brothers, Horus had already spelled out his broken image for the new brother.
Coming from an inaccessible dead planet, he is not good at words, does not care about his appearance, values his offspring, and has a different kind of passion for death.
Of course, the diplomatically experienced wolf god knew how to welcome such a brother, so he stood here, standing in a position where his brother could be seen at first glance when the door of his brother's shuttle was opened, and the light came perfectly, gilding Horus's armor with a layer of gold.
"Brother, welcome!"
Horus stepped forward to greet Motarian, looking at his brother.
Motarian looked tall and thin, emaciated, his bone-white and moss-green armor dull, the only outline of his copper-gold armor blurred by the gas, and his only decoration was the incense burners that were pouring out of the poisonous gas, and the poisonous gas from the incense burners, along with the respirators, obscured his brother's face.
He was supposed to be present at the funeral, Horus thought out of place.
Perhaps the poison gas floating around Motarian made the other brothers think of him badly, but Horus ignored the unpleasant vignettes and walked over, naturally giving Motarian a welcome hug, and then holding Motarion's hand in a friendly manner.
Horus happily ignored Mortarion's stiffness as Horus embraced him, perhaps for the less social brother, the distance had just been too close, which made Mortarian stiff like a dead log.
"I've been looking forward to meeting you for a long time, brother."
Horus said warmly, and at the same time took Motarian's right hand that he wanted to subconsciously withdraw,
"Introduce yourself, Horus Lupecar, the wolf shepherd of the Sixteenth Legion's Shadow Moon Wolves."
This tall brother of his jammed and said in an almost whispered voice,
"Mortarian, Lord of Barbarus, Pale Lord of the Fourteenth Legion Death Guard."
Horus patted Motarian on the shoulder armor in a friendly way,
"I've heard about the two battles you led the Death Guards, and from my own point of view, I'm happy to let the Silvermoon Wolves cooperate with the Death Guards, and the next battle will be a pleasant one."
Motarian nodded slowly, and as soon as he hesitated to speak, Horus continued.
"We can get to know each other more before waiting for the advance team to come back, and I'm glad that there is no Machado to bother us this time."
Even through the poisonous mist, Horus could feel Mortarian's doubts, but to be honest, the poisonous mist on this brother's body made even Horus, who was an original body, feel a little overwhelmed.
"What do you mean?"
"Originally, the empire asked me to welcome you, but Machado intervened in the process, and we don't have brothers led by Machado, which makes me a little curious."
Then Horus smiled slyly, as if asking about his brother's little secret,
"How does it feel to be led by Machado, brother?"
Motarian chewed on the days when he had been under the control of the psykers, and slowly spoke,
"It sucks."
Hearing Mortarian's words, Horus laughed and patted Mortarian hard,
"It's nice that we have a common topic about this."
As he spoke, Horus pulled Motarian out of the shuttle, and Mortarian's death robes followed them closely.
Horus casually glanced at the Space Marine who was noticeably larger than the other Death Shrouds.
"This is your escort? What are their names, brothers? ”
"Death Shroud."
"Very good name, it seems that we have the same interest in the topic of death."
"Then I suppose this should be Hades, right?"
Motarian blinked in surprise, waking up from the rhythm he had been leading by Horus, he looked at Horus,
"Haha, my brother, this heir of yours is quite famous. Whether it's in the technical sergeant of Mars, or in the brothers who have come into contact with you. ”
Of course, Horus will not only collect information about Motarian for the legion he wants to cooperate with, and in many places, this death guard named Hades appears with a particularly high frequency.
And Hades, who was mentioned by Horus, has been down, just now Horus has a set of fluent combination of words and body language, Hades is dumbfounded, and with Horus's kind smile with full marks, not to mention Motarian, Hades who is watching is also confused.
Horus, who was added to the original light, was literally glowing outward, and for the first time, Hades knew that the original smile had a vertigo effect, combined with Horus's eyes that looked quite sincere
Horus was already like this, and Hades could hardly imagine seeing the angel St. Giles.
Compared to the Fenus, Vulcan, and Perturabo that Hades had seen before, the current Horus is simply explosive in terms of appearance and treatment.
It is also the existence of primordial beings such as the Horus Wolf Shepherd God that makes the people of the empire have great worship and awe for the leaders of these legions.
Hades was still impressed by Horus's conversation skills, and then he was horrified to find that the topic had suddenly turned to him now?!
Since Motarian and Hades didn't have much contact with other legions, they didn't know that in fact, in addition to the original ones, there would be one or two extremely prominent soldiers in each legion, and these people were also the objects of friendship with the original people.
"Of course, I also have good fighters here."
Horus chatted about his family as he led the Death Guard through the welcoming corridor of Shadowmoon wolves.
"Abaddon."
Horus turned his head and called a tall black-armored warrior over, and Abaddon trotted out like a swaggering gray wolf, his pigtails swinging like a smooth and shiny wolf tail.
"My Chief Company Commander, Izekyl Abaddon, I think the two of you may have something in common."
Horus looked at Hades in a friendly manner, this was the first time Hades faced a smile with a normal handsome original body full of charm, Hades felt like he had eaten a flashbang, and his mind obviously stagnated for a moment-
When a shadow moon wolf. It's not impossible.
Abaddon also smiled at Hades in a friendly way, in the Shadow Moon Wolf, the warriors whose faces are close to the original body are called the sons of Horus, Abaddon and Horus have similar faces, similar smiles, so that Hades successfully trance for a millisecond.
Due to the height difference, with Hades' sight, directly facing him was Abaddon's dangling pigtails.
Hades was forced to trance again for a millisecond.
Because Hades's social ability is a slow-burning late-comprehension, Hades said that he couldn't parry it in the face of the Shadow Moon Wolf's quick attack and flow play.
So Horus dragged Motarian, Abaddon dragged Hades, and the unspoken death guard was exported by the Shadow Moon Wolf full of diplomatic points, and was successfully defeated today.
Quick Facts: Before Horus became the war commander, the only one who clearly opposed Horus in the original book was Crow King Clarks, or after Horus asked him to send a wave of crow guards.
