Chapter 492: Elementalization and Angels
Once contacted, I realized that the gray mist was not made of magic at all, but divine power. This layer of divine power is simple and crude, and there is only one rule in it: it is forbidden to teleport links from other planes.
The clash of spells unfolded in silence, with a few to dozens of spells exchanged in a single thought. The Federation's mana pool reserves were rapidly decreasing, and even the Myr Cores were starting to look inadequate. The distance from Siegel to the Flying Fortress is too far, and the dimensional rules of the plane greatly reduce the efficiency of the spell. It's like Siegel holding a 30-meter pole and using it to hold a thread and try to get through the pinhole.
A majestic voice travels an endless distance to the point where the spell begins. A message that mixes countless languages, but is able to be understood effortlessly by the recipient: "Private territory, no entry!"
Cracks cracked in the ground where Siegel stood, and the impact even reverberated underground. "Whether it's arcane or divine magic, or psionic and subspace communication, continuing to peep will bring you ruin!"
The voice was also heard by Modesti, and the power contained in it was more powerful than that of the dragon, causing her to roll on the ground in agony. She cried out again and again, "Father, Father!" and tears flowed from her eyes.
Siegel descended from the excitement of heaven to hell, and the powerful magical energy slapped back, immobilizing him entirely. He became the focal point of the whole spell, and all the pressure was on him. If it weren't for the strong bones of the skeleton, this energy would have squashed him long ago.
"I ...... I can't hold on!" Siegel squeezed out a sentence from between his teeth: "On the other side is the power of the rules of the kingdom of God, and that damn Lynch is probably a god!"
"I'm ......" Modisti hesitated for only a second before she began to chant the incantation. Her whole body glowed with iridescent light. The brightness is constantly increasing. It's like a small sun burning. It only took two seconds. She transformed herself into a pure energy body and fell into Siegel's spell at once!
This is the special ability of the pure magic dragon: to swim in the magic network. She discarded all the flesh and blood that allowed her physical power to grow, and survived by absorbing only the elements, so every inch of her body could interact perfectly with the elements. At the same time, Modisty herself is learning magic, learning spells from Siegel and tapping into the potential of the dragon's blood. In addition, she has been with Siegel for a long time, and she is very clear about his spell-casting characteristics, so she uses the method of elemental resonance. Transform yourself into a spell creature and follow Siegel's spells towards the Flying Fortress.
But in this way, Siegel could not interrupt the spell. Even under the constant warnings of the gray fog and the tremendous pressure, he could not let go. Because once she gives up her casting focus, Modisty will be forced to manifest and fall to ...... Who knows where she'll end up!
If it's the astral boundary, I'm afraid of entering the phlogiston sea between the crystal walls, which will burn Modesti into slag. Siegel is difficult to ride a tiger, so he can only hold on to his teeth. There was a stubborn thought in his heart: they were all archmages. I don't believe I can't afford you with four myr cores!
It wasn't as simple as he thought, because it wasn't a contest of numbers. It's a qualitative difference. Lynch mastered five arcane scrolls, of which the spatial arcane scrolls obtained from the Great Serpent formed this gray fog (see Mage Story). No matter how strong Siegel's strength is, it can only be like a goblin nuclear bomb, constantly exploding on the divine power barrier formed by the dwarven sage, and it cannot be damaged in the slightest.
Perhaps after several years or even decades of hard work, the accumulation of quantitative changes to the point of qualitative change is likely to produce destruction. But before that change took place, Siegel was probably exhausted. While the elemental power of the Myrcanon Core can speed up this process, the rules of space will also consume Siegel's efforts significantly.
Siegel thought of this as well, and his body began to bruise under the pressure and would soon be injured. "Damn, we have to change our strategy!" he listened to the constant alarms coming from the opposite side, and his heart was furious, and he ordered the Earth Elemental Rune Guard to move a Void Cannon out. "Full gear!" he commanded.
The projectile, which is electronically accelerated, is transported back to the starting point again and again, repeating the process of acceleration. At the same time, using the spell in the federation's mana pool, Siegel was single-minded in locating the gray mist that "kept sounding the alarm". Since it did not penetrate the gray fog, this time the positioning was successful. The gray mist existed in a void, enveloping the crystal wall barrier in the middle, and below it was a half-plane. Siegel needed to maintain his spells, and he couldn't bring himself there, so he threw the Void Cannon, which was already running, onto the gray mist.
The timing had to be very clever. If it is too early, the Void Cannon will lose the support of the Myr Core when it reaches the opposite side, and the energy contained in it will not be enough to complete the acceleration, and if it is too late, the accelerated projectile will produce a spatial effect on its own, destroying the effect of teleportation, and will "fall" out of the electromagnetic orbit and become powerless. If it weren't for the many experiments in the astral plane, Siegel wouldn't have been able to grasp the exact rhythm.
A flash of light flickered, and the Void Cannon launched an attack on the gray mist with maximum force. The fog, which had not changed under the effect of Siegel's spell, finally met the enemy, and the spatial rules met the spatial collapse rules. The gray mist vanished into the middle depression, and a path to the crystal wall barrier was opened.
Then it was the crystalline shell that was attacked, and time and space lost their meaning in a black vortex. Infinite lightning illuminated the entire void, and even the spell connections formed by Siegel using the elemental tides became extremely unstable.
He hurriedly increased his concentration, even if the pores all over his body were bleeding. The elementalized dragon girl howled in pain, and she felt like a fallen leaf in a storm, unable to control her fate at all. "Steady, steady!" was Siegel's only thought. His eyes shot lightning, his breath was full of flames, his torso was as solid as a rock, but his limbs were colder than a thousand-year-old glacier. The power of the four elements worked together on him, trying to tear Siegel to pieces.
For the sake of now, only aggregates of elements can form control, so Siegel did just that. Just like he strengthened his demon pet Baron with the Elemental Aggregate, this time the target was changed to himself. Fortunately, there is an acquired power pipeline in his body, which is attached to the incomparably strong bones. The energy of the plasma could have been converted into the power of the four elements, and Siegel only needed to exchange the plasma for elemental aggregates.
Fluidized elemental aggregates are unstable but can quickly spread along the plasma network. It's a painful process, like hitting every bone and breaking it and then slowly gluing it back together. The pain of the outside and the pain of the inside are mixed, but the flow of magic produces shivers of joy. Siegel didn't know what he was feeling, but the joys and sorrows, the ups and downs, came together, stirred together, mixed and fused.
The power of elemental convergence replaces the negative energy of the Resistant Skeleton, and Siegel transforms from an undead creature to an elemental creature. Siegel's skill and experience in controlling the elements is far greater than controlling the undead, so this process strengthens his mastery of himself. All of the spells he casts are made up of the four basic elements, and after surviving the Elemental Aggregate substitution, he has better control over his magic.
The Void Cannon finally pierced the crystal wall, leaving a void that was disappearing at breakneck speed, but it was enough to locate the spell to infiltrate it. Siegel immediately drew the appropriate spell from the pool of combined spells and threw himself over.
The elementalized skeletal form allowed him and Modestus to penetrate the gray fog and rush to the top of the Flying Fortress.
It was a white castle that floated in a pale red translucent crystalline shell, and the entire half-plane was only thirty miles in diameter, where the power of the four elements cycled back and forth. On the platform of the castle there is an arched device, like a curved bow fastened to the ground. Dense dwarf characters form intricate patterns on the device, and a trace of spatial magic permeates it.
"I remember I was teleported away from here by my father. Modisty reverted to her human form and lifted Siegel up from the ground. Compared to the dragon's body, the archmage is much less tenacious. The first thing Siegel did when he stood up was chant the incantation, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he was sure that the magic was still working as usual.
Suddenly the alarm bell rang in the castle, and Siegel felt the demonic power from Purgatory. The spell of the anti-evil circle enveloped the two of them in an instant, and they were both ready to meet the demon guards. But what happened next turned his perception upside down: a six-winged angel of the dawn wielding the Sun Flame Sword wielded the Sun Flame Sword and swooped down from the castle's second-story tower!
"Grab it, intruder!"
The Dawn Angels are the toughest celestial warriors to deal with, using their powers to negate damage and magical effects, as well as healing and recovering themselves in battle. Just as the angel was flying, she had begun to cast spells on Siegel. Holy Light Strikes and Iridescent Sprays followed, while the space locked onto the movement of any teleportation or any door. Siegel had to swing her wand and use the Four Veins Arrow to destroy her spell composition. Only then can the Elemental Shield be used to resist the remaining magical power.
The Angel of Dawn was stunned for a moment, then smiled happily, like a child encountering a toy. With a wave of her arm, an elemental cluster of twenty large qi elements appeared out of thin air, and then lunged downward.
Siegel didn't even have time to explain, so he had to continue chanting the mantra. The Angel of Dawn, who uses divine magic in elemental control, is no match for Siegel, and her elemental cluster only lasts a few seconds before taking control away.
Hordes of Qi elementals rushed towards the angels, but they were all shattered by the sword blade barrier full of holy power. Hundreds of glittering crescent-shaped swords surround the angel, making a high-speed movement that is irregular but never collides.
"Don't fight! we're not hostile!" Siegel had just finished speaking when the angel cast his spell again. Firestorms, chain lightning bolts, and insignia of awe-inspiring all come together to press down on Siegel.
Even with this spell, the power of the angel did not decrease in the slightest. (To be continued.) )
