Chapter 12: The Benevolence of the Doctor

Doctors have benevolence, and their hearts are correct.

Walk all over the virtuous people, and help the world with compassion.

Now I live like this every day, which seems boring, but in fact, this life is the most testing person. Often ordinary life can better reflect a person's quality and cultivation, high school learning and life is boring and boring, but boring and boring, but also the most reflective of a person's will.

In high school, my studies began to become more and more arduous, there were more and more homework, and the teachers became more and more strict with our students, but this did not stop my passion for Chinese medicine and my passion for learning.

In the past few days, as long as I have free time after school, I will go to the clinic and constantly ask Mr. Cao about the knowledge in traditional Chinese medicine.

Every time Mr. Cao saw me coming to him, he would answer my questions about Chinese medicine in his free time, and my theoretical level of Chinese medicine improved unconsciously.

A few days ago, Mr. Cao handed me some books on Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and the knowledge and content in the books have basically been mastered and written down through the study of consciousness in the past few days.

Today is Saturday, Teacher Cao is going to teach in the lecture hall of our school, and I came to the classroom early at 8 o'clock in the morning and sat in the front row of the lecture hall.

I saw that there were more than 30 people who came to the lecture hall to learn Chinese medicine, and only sat in about one-tenth of the seats in the lecture hall, and today Mr. Cao also came early, today he wore a black suit, looking like an old professor, when Mr. Cao took the roster and passed the name one by one, Mr. Cao stood on the podium and started the first class today.

Mr. Cao first introduced the history of the development and evolution of Chinese medicine to the students, and he said: "The looking, smelling, asking and cutting of Chinese medicine began from the Warring States period. Looking, smelling, asking, and cutting are traditional Chinese medicine terms, collectively known as the four diagnoses. It originated from the sixty-first difficulty of Bian Que's "Difficult Scripture" written by Bian Que during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is a traditional Chinese medicine term that refers to observing the complexion, listening to the sounds, asking about the symptoms, and feeling the pulse, which is collectively referred to as the four diagnoses. ”

The students in the lecture hall listened attentively, some were taking notes with their notebooks, some were recording with tape recorders in their hands, and most of them seemed to be confused.

Teacher Cao looked at the people below from the podium and continued: "Looking at the complexion, counting on the look, by observing the patient's eyes, complexion and other symptoms, as a preliminary judgment of the condition. For example, the eyes are bright and clear, the face is ruddy and shiny, and it is generally in a healthy state, if the eyes are cloudy and weak, and the face is pale, it may indicate that there is a problem with physical health. ”

Teacher Cao took a sip of water and continued: "Listening to sound and breath refers to listening to the symptoms of the patient's body parts through the nose or ears, such as listening to the patient's breathing, coughing, etc. If the breathing is uniform and there are no symptoms such as cough, respiratory disease can be preliminarily ruled out. Once the patient has symptoms such as loud breath, crackles in the lungs, and cough, it may indicate bronchial or pulmonary disease. Symptom inquiry: It refers to asking about the patient's past medical history, or recent diet, sleep, and bowel movements, etc., to determine the patient's basic condition. For example, poor sleep quality, low appetite, loose stools, etc., may indicate endocrine or digestive problems. Pulse touching: refers to cutting, Chinese medicine observes the patient's pulse by taking the pulse, and can see the five organs of the body and the operation of qi and blood from the pulse, as well as the disease on the surface or inside. ”

After Mr. Cao introduced this knowledge, everyone had a general understanding of Chinese medicine and the way of seeing patients in Chinese medicine.

At this time, Mr. Cao paused and said a little mysteriously: "Hope is the first place in Chinese medicine, but few people know why hope is the first place?" My following words may have some impact on everyone's cognition and concepts, you can believe it or not, just listen to it as a story. ”

When everyone heard Dr. Cao say this, they became more concentrated. Teacher Cao smiled and said: "The great medical scholars in ancient China, such as Hua Tuo, Bian Que, Li Shizhen, Sun Simiao, etc., are all people with special functions when you check from the medical books. These great medical scientists can use their own eyes to see the lesions on the patient's body, and at the same time they can see what is the root cause of the disease. ”

I couldn't help but be shocked when I heard this, and some of the students next to me also turned their heads and ears, and Teacher Cao continued: "Everyone must be a little surprised to hear this, what is Tianmu? This Tianmu is the pineal gland in medical opinion......" Later, Mr. Cao explained the structure and function of the pineal gland to the students. When Mr. Cao finished explaining Tianmu's understanding of modern medicine, a student asked a question at the end: "Dr. Cao, you have said so much about the function of the pineal gland, do you have it?" ”

Teacher Cao smiled ashamedly at this time: "I don't have this ability, and there are few people who have this ability in ancient times, and now when I say this, many people will think that it is a legend or a joke, but these are all recorded in the medical books, but unfortunately the descendants only inherited the experience and prescriptions of the ancestors, and some other things are criticized by modern people, and what we modern people criticize is the most essential part of Chinese medicine." ”

I listened quietly below, knowing that ancient Chinese medicine was really powerful, and it was also very developed and advanced, in fact, modern Western medicine could not catch up with no matter how many teenagers were.

In the course of the day, Mr. Cao only rested for two hours at noon, in Mr. Cao's non-stop explanation, Mr. Cao on the podium looked a little tired, but this did not prevent him from leaving homework for everyone, in order to let everyone enter the state of learning Chinese medicine as soon as possible, let everyone go back to memorize the meridian diagram of the human body every day and the soup song.

At the end of the session, I was stopped by Mr. Cao, who asked me to go back to the pharmacy with him, and he told me that he wanted to test my learning results in the past few days.

I went back to the clinic with Mr. Cao, and as soon as I sat down, Mr. Cao was going to start testing my mastery of acupuncture. Mr. Cao asked me all kinds of questions about acupuncture, and I answered them one by one.

When I finished answering Mr. Cao's last question, his whole body was petrified, his eyes widened, and he stared at me for a long time before he came to his senses, gently rubbed his forehead, and said, "Monster! I really didn't misread you, I am now somewhat immune to your learning speed and comprehension, but your learning speed is still too terrifying, since you have mastered all the theories, I also keep my promise, from today I will teach you the method of acupuncture! ”

When I heard that the teacher was going to teach me the method of acupuncture, I nodded excitedly, and there was a look of longing in my eyes.

At this time, Mr. Cao took out an acupuncture bag from a cabinet next to the door of the consultation room, opened the package and found all kinds of needles of different lengths, and said: "If you want to learn acupuncture, you must be pricked first, and you can experience the feeling of entering the needle yourself." Also remember the key to the needle: this acupuncture method has many mysterious formulas, although there are many techniques, but it is not, cut the acupoint to hold the needle in the mouth, enter the needle and retreat the needle to rub, finger twist the acupuncture to leave the bean, and shake the acupoint like a shuttle. Nowadays, most of us apply Yang's Eight Needle Method. ”

While speaking, I saw Mr. Cao take out a needle that is neither long nor short, disinfect it with alcohol cotton, grab my left hand, and at the same time after the poison has been eliminated in the Hegu acupoint of my left hand, without waiting for me to react, he raised his hand and pricked a needle in my Hegu acupoint.

At this time, there was a feeling of soreness, numbness, swelling and pain in the Hegu acupoint of my left hand, and as Mr. Cao continued to enter the needle process, this feeling became more and more obvious, and finally I frowned and shouted: "Teacher can do it, I can't stand it!" Teacher Cao stopped.

Teacher Cao half-jokingly said, "How is it?" How do you feel? Isn't it a sour and refreshing feeling! "Teacher, remove the needle, it's not going to work." Teacher Cao did not withdraw the needle for me, but put my left hand on the table and used the needle from the Hegu acupoint to explain to me the eight methods of the needle.

The techniques of rubbing, clawing, rubbing, playing, shaking, pulling, following and twisting were demonstrated one by one in my Hegu acupoint, and the teacher let me feel the magic of acupuncture more quickly, so that I had a deeper understanding of acupuncture as a treatment method.

After seeing that I had roughly memorized these eight techniques, Mr. Cao took out a palm-sized rubber figure model with human meridian acupoints from the cabinet, and said to me: "I will take the needle out of your hand in a while, and you can try the Hegu acupoint on the model according to my method just now, and feel the techniques of needle and needle insertion." ”

I took the model, Mr. Cao took out the needle at the Hegu acupoint of my left hand, and I practiced according to the way Mr. Cao just now, Mr. Cao watched me practice, correcting my wrong movements and techniques from time to time, once, twice, three times...... I don't know how many stitches I pricked, but every time I was meticulous from the beginning of the needle to the needle out, and finally I didn't stop until the thumb, index finger, and middle finger of my right hand were about to cramp.

Teacher Cao nodded and said: "Well, it's a little interesting, you take it slow first, and then try it yourself, if you want to learn acupuncture and moxibustion, it is the first step to tie yourself, you have to overcome this psychological barrier." ”

What do I hear? I have to prick myself myself, how can I do it. Teacher Cao said that this is the only way for a doctor who learns acupuncture, and he doesn't dare to start, how will you prick a patient in the future. If I think about it, I have soft hands, and my hands will be softer when I give needles to others, and it will be inaccurate to take acupoints and insert needles when my hands are soft.

Thinking of this, I picked up the needle, took a deep breath and calmed down, and also learned the steps of Mr. Cao, first used alcohol to detoxify the needle and the part where I put the needle down, at this time I concentrated my mind on the left hand Hegu acupoint, the Tianshen eye naturally opened, and looked at the location of my Hegu acupoint, which is the intersection of the meridians, and found the right part.

Hi! Although I was a little nervous, I still accurately pierced the needle into my Hegu acupoint, probably because of the practice just now, and there was no discomfort, according to the previous technique, the needle slowly entered the skin, and as the needle went deeper, the feeling of soreness, numbness, swelling, and came again.

The teacher looked at my expression and knew that I had succeeded this time, and said with a smile: "It's a good boy, the first time I found the acupuncture points so accurately, I really have talent, you can feel the process of putting the needle into the needle now, this is how you will feel when you stick it to the patient in the future." ”

I followed Mr. Cao's instructions, carefully felt the process of my own needle insertion, the process of soreness, numbness, swelling, and different with the depth of the needle, after feeling it for a while, I took the needle out of my body again.

In this way, I practiced repeatedly, piercing five or six times, and Mr. Cao kept standing next to me and watching me give myself the needle, nodding at me from time to time, and saying "Yes, yes, that's it, yes, yes!" Good! ……”

Finally, when I took out the needle, Mr. Cao looked at me with great appreciation, and at the same time gave me the acupuncture bag on the table just now, and told me to practice more when I go back.

I took the acupuncture bag and felt Mr. Cao's sincere love for me. He also told me that acupuncture cannot cure all diseases, and acupuncture can only dredge the meridians, strengthen the right and dispel evil, and reconcile yin and yang. The treatment should be treated differentiated, and the combination of acupuncture and decoction can get twice the result with half the effort!

When I left Mr. Cao's clinic in the evening, Mr. Cao's clinic was about to close, and I walked alone on the empty street, feeling extremely happy and relieved, because my efforts in the past few days have not been in vain, I know that the door of Chinese medicine has been slowly opened by me, and the rest is how to explore, learn and discover.

When I got home at night, I spread out the acupuncture bag that the teacher gave me, and stroked these dozens of large and small needles, just like stroking my favorite toy.

I played with these needles in my hand, opened some books on acupuncture, and read them carefully, one of which I had no intention of opening, but the contents of the book aroused my interest.

There is a passage in the book that says: When you want to make up, the qi comes out and the needle enters, and the qi enters and the needle comes out. When you want to be laxative, the air enters the needle, and the air comes out of the needle. Breathing but three mouthfuls, it is the sun of the three cokes outside. Sucking but not five mouthfuls is the yin of the five internal organs. Those who exhale first and then inhale are the yin of yang; The one who inhales first and then exhales is the yang in the yin; It is used according to its sickness, yin and yang, cold and heat, for the sake of living, and cannot be misused. I put down the book and savored the meaning of this sentence carefully, isn't this just the needle with qi? What is the true qi in this book? Does it mean the energy of the human body?

Thinking of this, I picked up a needle, and at the same time mobilized the energy in the body, and controlled a stream of energy to flow to the hand with my mind, at this time I used the eye of heaven to observe the flow of energy in the body, the process of flowing to the hand, when the hand was full of my energy, I deliberately guided this energy into the needle in my hand.

At this time, there was nothing abnormal in this small needle in my hand, it was still lying quietly in my palm, and I saw with my heavenly eyes that this small needle was filled with my energy and was dazzling.

When I deliberately increased the energy again, this time the anomaly happened, I saw that as the energy in my hand continued to be injected into the needle, the needle itself began to slowly tremble, and as my energy increased again, the needle slowly rose up in the palm of my hand and floated in the air, which made me a little surprised.

When I deliberately interrupted the input of energy into the needle, the needle did not fall as I imagined, it was still suspended in the air, but the height decreased, I looked at the introduction in the book again, and now the state of this needle is basically the same as the state described in the book, I speculate that this energy may be the true qi in Chinese medicine, right?

I tried to follow the process described in the book, closed my eyes, mobilized the energy in my body again, and injected a stream of energy from my Tianmu into this needle again from the position of my Tianmu, I felt an invisible connection with this needle at this time, under the control of my energy, this needle can fly to the position where I want this needle to appear, I carefully felt this control distance, almost more than fifty meters.

I withdrew the needle in my hand, grasped the needle in my hand, and wondered what would happen if I took the energy injected into the needle and used the vehicle of the needle itself to inject it into the human body. Will the treatment be more effective?

Thinking of this, I injected energy into the needle, and pierced this needle into my left hand Hegu acupoint, and now the technique is much more proficient than the first time, but this time the process of entering the needle, because there is an energy flow gathered in the right hand, it is obviously different from the feeling of no energy flow, that is, the feeling of soreness, numbness, swelling, and pain is more obvious, but the effect is very different from the usual injection of energy, and through my observation of the heavenly purpose, I found that this kind of energy injection will speed up the running speed of the meridians many times. It seems that my method is feasible and should speed up the treatment and the effect of the treatment.

After withdrawing the needle, I tried a few acupuncture points in my left hand, and I felt stronger and stronger each time, the energy injection process became more and more smooth, and the acupuncture points were found more and more accurately.

At the end of the book, the qualities that a healer should possess are specifically pointed out. If you want to learn the technique of this true qi acupuncture, you must first be a doctor who cultivates virtue, and the so-called benevolence of the doctor means that the practitioner should be benevolent, sincere, rigorous, fair and disciplined, which is the quality that practitioners must have in the history of Chinese medicine.

That is to say, as a healer, you must be kind to others and always have a compassionate heart, so that you can truly and slowly achieve the goal of using qi to control the needle.

After putting the needle away, I put it back in my bag, closed the book, and moved my numb right hand, and I began my daily homework.

I sat cross-legged on the bed, ready to start today's meditation practice, thinking about the four words of benevolence in my mind, and it didn't take long for me to enter the realm of forgetting things and me.

When my body really entered an ethereal state, my Tianmu saw some images again, and I didn't understand how there were pictures, but I didn't deliberately avoid them, but quietly observed.

I saw that this was a beautiful town in the southwest of the Qing Dynasty in China, and there was a famous local Chinese medicine doctor named Xu Boren, whose wife had passed away a few years ago, leaving only an 8-year-old son who was a skilled doctor and a virtuous man. If the poor people come to him for medical treatment and have no money, they not only provide free medical treatment but also give money to help their lives, and they often have a mantra in their mouths: "The poor see a doctor, and the rich spend money." "It can be said that he has accumulated virtue and done good deeds.

On the night of this day, there was a hurried knock on the door, and there was a young man at the door, explaining that he had come to ask Dr. Xu to go to a village forty miles away to see his old father.

Dr. Xu diagnosed the patient late and prescribed the medicine, but it was already late at night. The main family originally planned to leave Dr. Xu for one night and go home tomorrow morning, but Dr. Xu considered that there were still young children at home and no one to take care of, so he could only go out at night.

Carrying a medicine box on his back, he walked through the forest path, and there was silence all around. As he was hurrying, he found a man lying on the road in front of him, carrying a heavy package. Dr. Xu came closer, probed the man's snort, and found that the person still had breath, and he had to save him quickly!

So, Dr. Xu carried the person into the dense forest and treated him. The person who didn't have a lot of effort woke up leisurely, and he was grateful to see that someone had saved him. It turned out that this person's name was Yang Xing, a native of Shangqiu, Henan, who passed by here on business, but he was infected with a disease in the past few days, and he accidentally walked here at night and fainted, but fortunately met Dr. Xu to save him.

Out of the benevolence of the doctor, Dr. Xu took Yang Xing to his home. After a few more days, Dr. Xu said to Yang Xing: "Don't hide it, I'm afraid I won't be able to cure your illness, so you better plan early." ”

Yang Xing took Dr. Xu's hand and said: "Dr. Xu, you have saved my life, if I die here, I hope to bring my ashes back to my hometown, and my package has a thousand taels of silver in it, and it will all be paid." ”

But Dr. Xu resolutely refused to accept it, and Yang Xing had no choice. The next day, when Dr. Xu entered the house, he found that Yang Xing had passed away last night.

After Dr. Xu finished burying Yang Xing, he took the package of 1,000 taels of silver, and thought: This is Yang Xing's thing, I have to return it to his family, I can't ask for this ill-gotten gain. After making up his mind and entrusting his young child to a neighbor, Dr. Xu hired a cart and pulled Yang Xing's coffin on the way to Shangqiu.

After a lot of hardships came to Shangqiu, this day came to Yang Xing's house, the Yang family's house is very large, after explaining the intention to the housekeeper, the Yang house was a sensation for a while. Yang Xing's father personally welcomed Dr. Xu Boren into the mansion, and at the same time re-integrated his child's body.

After that, the Yang Mansion treated Xu Boren as a guest, and the Yang Mansion respected Dr. Xu very much, and praised Dr. Xu for his benevolence and virtue.

Dr. Xu stayed in Yang's Mansion for a few days, returned 1,000 taels of silver to Yang's Mansion, and then returned to his hometown. Yang Xing's father not only thanked Dr. Xu for his benevolence, but also admired his character, and was able to send Yang Xing's bones back thousands of miles away.

So, Father Yang instructed his family to take out 5,000 taels of silver from the account room as a thank you, but Dr. Xu resolutely refused, kept shirking, and then hurriedly said goodbye and left.

Back in his hometown, Dr. Xu still healed the people in line with the concept of curing diseases and saving people. It was evening again, and I heard someone calling outside the door, and Dr. Xu opened the door to see an old woman in shabby clothes standing outside the door, and behind him was an old carriage. The woman stepped forward and said, "Are you Dr. Xu?" We are passing through this place from out of town, and my young lady has been seriously ill on the road because she is in a hurry these days, and I would like to ask you to give me a diagnosis or two. ”

So Dr. Xu invited them into the house, and it was a slim girl who came into the house to see a doctor, but her clothes were a little shabby.

After Dr. Xu treated her, the woman said that it was getting late and it was not convenient to walk now, so she asked to stay at Xu's house. Dr. Xu had no choice but to agree and let them into the West Cross Hospital.

Dr. Xu had just been lying down in his room for a short time when he heard someone outside the door say, "Can Dr. Xu open the door and let me in?" I'm the girl I just had. Doctor Xu was puzzled and said in the house: "It's too late, the girl should go back to her room to rest, and I'll talk about it tomorrow, I won't open the door if you go." I only heard the girl outside the house say: "The little woman thanked Dr. Xu for his kindness in diagnosis and treatment, but she couldn't repay it, and she wanted to make a promise with her body, I don't know if Dr. Xu agreed?" ”

When Dr. Xu heard this, he said even more sharply: "Girl, don't say that, I don't want a penny if you don't have money, and you don't have to promise each other in person, if that's what kind of person will I Xu become?" In this way, no matter how the girl called Dr. Xu, she didn't open the door, and the girl had to leave without permission.

The next morning, Dr. Xu woke up and found that the two of them from last night had left at some point, so he put down his mind and stopped looking.

At this moment, someone knocked on the door, and Dr. Xu opened the door to see that it was none other than someone else knocking on the door, who had just been separated for a long time, Yang Xing's father.

Behind him was the girl from last night, it turned out that last night's girl was called Yang Hong, she was Yang Xing's sister, Dr. Xu sent her relatives thousands of miles away, Yang's father was very moved, and through those few days of getting along, he admired Mr. Xu's character very much, so he had the idea of marrying his daughter Yang Hong to Dr. Xu, but Yang Hong did not agree, and had to test Xu Boren's character, which led to the previous thing.

Father Yang said to Dr. Xu: "As long as Dr. Xu agrees to this family business, the ten carriages behind me will pull over the daughter's dowry, and the countless gold, silver and jewelry in it will be inexhaustible. At first, Dr. Xu did not agree, but with the mediation of the local land security and academic administration, Dr. Xu finally agreed to marry Yang Hong.

I see this, this story is a happy ending, everyone is happy, although things are very ordinary, but Xu Boren's benevolence and kindness are beyond the reach of ordinary people, he has no complaints about how much he has suffered, and he has not changed his original intention as always, which is indeed amazing!

It is precisely because he is so benevolent that he has the good retribution behind, and it seems that all the karma and marriage have already been determined, and the retribution is real.

It's really:

The benevolence of the doctor benefits thousands of families, and he sends relatives and everyone praises them.

Practicing medical ethics is all over the world, and it has its own green leaves and red flowers.

I woke up from my state of meditation, opened my eyes, and began to experience the story and what the protagonist of this story was going through.

Tonight I have another physical examination of my life, although I have seen the life experience of another person, but in this person's life, it has allowed me to see and understand what is the true benevolence of a doctor, and the specific connotation and meaning of the benevolence of a doctor, and at the same time, it has also played a role for me to learn from in my future cultivation.
