The car home was not fast, I rolled down the window, let the cold wind blow on my cheeks, but also made my brain sober a little, looking at the changing scenery outside the window, I kept telling myself in my heart, I am not an ordinary person, how can I be so childlike, let this obsession get deeper and deeper? But this feeling is so unbearable, hey!

When I got home, I didn't go upstairs immediately, but entered the basement of my house, I put the Buddha statue in the package on the ground in the basement, stretched out my right palm, concentrated the pure energy in the body, and poured it into the Buddha statue.

After dinner, I returned to my room as usual, looked at some books on Chinese medicine and Western medicine on the desk, picked up one and read it, although I basically knew these books, but I also knew the truth of "learning from the past", and some medical things need to be slowly comprehended by myself.

In the TCM books given to me by Mr. Cao, in fact, a large part of the medical content gives people the feeling that it is incredible, and the process of curing diseases is magical, which cannot be measured by the treatment methods of modern medicine, nor can it be viewed with modern concepts.

Among them, there is an ancient method of treating plague, which is very special and deeply attracted me, the book talks about the frequent plagues in the late Han Dynasty, and from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the early years of the Jin Dynasty, there were more than 20 national plagues.

According to official records, from the third year of Emperor Huan of the Han Dynasty to the first year of Emperor Taikang of the Jin Dynasty, the population of the country dropped from 56.5 million to more than 16 million. According to the Book of Song and the Five Elements, in the first month of the spring of the second year of Xianning, the Luoyang epidemic caused 100,000 deaths, and the state institutions could not function normally, so the emperor issued an edict to cancel all ceremonial ceremonies.

The plague at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty had a great impact on the combat effectiveness of the army, and in the spring and March of the fifth year of Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Huangfu Regulation Qiang War "The Great Epidemic in the Army, Three or Four Out of Ten Dead". The famous Battle of Red Cliffs, which was affected by the plague and changed the tide of the battle.

I found out in the book that at that time, people in the late Han Dynasty collectively referred to the plague as "typhoid fever". There are also later scholars who believe that it is typhus and plague. Patients often have a high fever and wheezing, shortness of breath and are desperate. The onset is acute, there are blood spots on the body, and the mortality rate is high. Zhang Zhongjing recorded in his "Treatise on Typhoid Fever: Self-Introduction" that during the first year to the ninth year of Emperor Jian'an of the Han Dynasty, his family originally had more than 200 people, and two-thirds of them died, of which seven-tenths died of typhoid fever.

The four sons of the famous Jian'an Seven Sons, Xu Gan, Chen Lin, Ying Ling, and Liu Zhen, died in this great plague. It is also believed that Wang Cang, one of the seven sons, also died of the plague. No wonder Cao Pi said: "The plague has been numbered, and the scholars have withered." ”

The plague recorded in the book was large, but neither of them broke out in the summer, so it was suspected that plague and typhoid fever were more likely.

Modern people think of plague as a large-scale epidemic caused by a virus. This is the understanding of plague in the spatio-temporal scale that modern science can detect. As early as ancient China, people's understanding of plague was not only limited to the physical and biological level, but also had a broader and far-reaching understanding.

In ancient Chinese medical texts, plague was considered to be "the spirit of chaos". "The weather is down, the weather is down, and the popularity is in the middle." He Xiu, a famous scholar of the Eastern Han Dynasty, said: "The people are sick and epidemic, and the evil spirit is born." ”

There is also a record of Zhang Tianshi's treatment of plague in the medical book, there is a Zhang Tianshi whose original name was Zhang Ling, and later changed his name to Zhang Daoling, the founder of Tianshi Taoism in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and a native of Pei Guofeng County. According to legend, in the first year of Emperor Han'an of Hanshun, he met Lao Tzu and was appointed as a heavenly master. Later generations called him one of the three ancestors of Taoism, and he lived to be 123 years old.

After Zhang Daoling learned the Tao, he could cure people's diseases. He accepted tens of thousands of disciples in Shu, because the people of Shu were simple and simple, in line with the Tao, and easy to guide. Zhang Daoling led everyone to open roads and bridges, repair wood and hoe grass, clean up garbage, and voluntarily undertake public affairs within a radius of dozens of miles.

Zhang Daoling never used coercive means to treat apprentices, but used morality and etiquette to guide and regulate people's behavior and improve their ideological realm. At that time, in the Shu area, people's living standards were relatively backward, and the sanitary conditions were not very good, so at that time, when the plague was rampant, Zhang Daoling helped them treat the plague, but the method was very unique.

Zhang Daoling asked people who were sick and infected to recall all the mistakes they had made in their lives, write them down and throw them into the water, and at the same time swore to God that they would never do those wrong and bad things again, and if they made mistakes again, they would end their lives. The people did according to this law, and sure enough, the plague disappeared, and the people spread it to the hundreds, and soon, the sickness was cured, and the plague was gone.

This practice not only eliminated the plague, but also made people more respectful of heaven and earth, more virtuous and virtuous, and the crime rate in society was significantly reduced. In fact, Zhang Daoling left behind the Taoist system of his method in this way, that is, the way of helping the world.

The ancients said that "when a person has a thought, the heavens and the earth know everything", when people sincerely repent, it can be seen, and it will drive away the evil spirit on the human body and the healing factors behind it, and what is manifested in the space that human beings can detect is that the plague is suddenly gone, and people are healed.

Moreover, I found out a fact from medical books, that is, many great medical doctors in ancient times were actually cultivators, and their Taoism was very profound. Hua Tuo, a famous doctor in the Three Kingdoms, had special functions that ordinary people did not have. His method of healing was sometimes unique.

The book records a method of Hua Tuo's medical treatment, and there is a county guard who is seriously ill, and Hua Tuo goes to visit him. The county guard then asked Hua Tuo to treat him, and Hua Tuo withdrew without saying anything. Hua Tuo said to the son of the county guard, "Your father's illness is different from ordinary diseases, there is blood in his abdomen, and you should provoke him to vomit out the blood, so that he can be cured of his disease, otherwise he will die." ”

The son of the county keeper was also very anxious, so he said what should I do? Hua Tuo said: "Can you tell me all the wrong and bad things that your father has done?" I wrote a letter criticizing and accusing him. ”

The son of the county keeper said, "If you can cure your father's illness, there is nothing that cannot be said." So, he told Hua Tuo all the unreasonable things his father had done for a long time. Hua Tuo wrote a letter denouncing the county guard and left. After reading the letter, the county guard was furious and sent a catcher to arrest Hua Tuo, but Hua Tuo had already run away and was not caught. In a fit of rage, the county guard spat out more than a liter of black blood, and after vomiting, his illness was cured.

The fateful function of the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing, the plague was rampant in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, but there were many famous Taoist doctors. Zhang Zhongjing's "diligent pursuit of ancient teachings" and "learning from all prescriptions", his book "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases" became the first classic in the history of Chinese medicine with complete principles, laws, prescriptions and medicines.

Zhang Zhongjing has an extraordinary fateful function, and many historical materials record the story of his treatment of Wang Cang, one of Jian'an's seven sons. When Wang Cang was in his early twenties, he met Zhang Zhongjing, who said to him: "If you are sick, you can take Wushi soup, or when you are in your forties, your eyebrows will fall out, and you will die in half a year." ”

Wang Cang felt uncomfortable when he heard this, thinking that Zhang Zhongjing scared him and did not take medicine. Three days later, Zhang Zhongjing asked Wang Cang again if he had taken medicine, and Wang Cang replied that he had taken it. Zhang Zhongjing looked at Wang Cang's complexion and knew that he hadn't taken any medicine, so he said, "Why don't you value your own life?" Wang Cang was silent. Twenty years later, Wang Cang's eyebrows really fell out, and one hundred and eighty-seven days later, he died.

Zhang Zhongjing can not only see people's underlying diseases, but also give prescriptions, and can accurately calculate people's lifespan, which is not a problem that ordinary medicine can solve.

Zhang Zhongjing also proposed that if people want to maintain health and health, they must be indifferent to fame and fortune, not pursue flashiness, and be in harmony with heaven and earth, so as to drive away evil and benefit longevity.

I looked at the records in the medical books, some of the contents seem to really make modern people unbelievable, it is indeed incredible, but these are the real records in the medical books, the ancients linked the health of the human body with the whole universe, they believed that life is impermanent, happiness to a certain extent, sadness will come, just like the moon, from loss to profit, from profit to loss, is constantly changing, the same is true of things in the world, the rise and fall of ups and downs are fixed, just like people have birth, old age, sickness, death, this is also the law.

These are the natural laws of the universe, which are irreversible, and people can only adapt to his changes, when they are prosperous, they have a sense of awe, and when they are lonely, they can leave an indifferent state, so that they can not be shocked by honor and disgrace.

When I closed the book and sat in my chair and thought silently, this is an incredible thing in the eyes of modern people, and it is even called "superstition". In fact, the ancients had a higher moral standard, and generally did not talk about it, and would not record history or tamper with history without their own imagination without factual basis.

In the face of disasters, if we can follow the ancient precepts, respect the heavens and ancestors, and reflect on ourselves, maybe we can recover the memories in the depths of our lives, so as to be blessed and survive the disaster safely, some things cannot be explained by modern science.

I rubbed my dry eyes, sat on the bed, and started today's meditation, and soon entered a state of meditation, in which a variety of colors appeared in front of my eyes, and slowly some scenes began to flash, flashing mountains, flashing the sea, flashing all kinds of different things, but I was always there quietly watching, and no extra thoughts arose.

When the speed of the scene in front of me flashes to an extreme, suddenly all the scenery stops in an instant, as if a piece of glass has broken, and the whole picture collapses at once, and then disappears.

A white mist appeared in front of my eyes, and in that white mist, a living form appeared, and when this living form came to me, I saw her clearly, it turned out to be Ah Yuan.

When she appeared, I was obviously surprised, and found that her soul body was abnormally weak now, giving people a feeling that it was about to dissipate, and her body was not as solid as before in my opinion, I asked her worriedly with my mind, "Ah Yuan, what is going on with you, why have you become the way you are now?" Is there anything I can help with? "In the last battle of Huashan, although I lost some of my vitality, it was not as weak as it is now, the reason is that the people of the Evil Heaven Alliance, they have already extended their tentacles into the space where our soul bodies are located, or more precisely, into the space where some of the 'Eight Divisions' are located, and began to destroy them in a planned way. Ah Yuan also hesitated: "Is this this?" As a living entity in our space, I don't understand it very well, but I've heard other life forms in that space mention that only by becoming a true cultivator's protector can you be completely liberated, and only then can you have the hope of liberation, otherwise there is no way, so I came to you today just to discuss with you, can I become one of your 'eight sentient beings' protectors? ”

I pondered for a while and said to Ah Yuan: "That's it, you wait for a while, one day my master and he will come back, and I will tell him about your situation to see if my master has any way, because I don't know much about this." "Okay, that's the only way to do it first, then I'll wait for your good news" Ah Yuan finished speaking, and disappeared in front of my eyes, and I also woke up from my meditation state.

Thinking about Ah Yuan, I was in no mood to continue meditating, so I lay down on the bed. I lay on the bed, thinking back to the scene when Master first appeared when we met, recalling Master's efforts again and again to correct my path, and recalling Master's suffering after suffering in order to protect me, I don't know what it was like in my heart.

In this way, I fell asleep unconsciously, and at the moment I fell asleep, the long-lost feeling finally appeared, that is, my consciousness body, pulled out by a huge attraction, appeared in the familiar chaotic space.

In front of me stood the figure that I missed and respected so much, and Master was right in front of me as the corners of my mouth went up, and a pair of loving eyes were looking at me, radiating the light of wisdom.

I excitedly stepped forward and knelt down and kowtowed, my eyes were already soaked with tears at some point, and my mouth trembled: "Master! "I got down on my knees and saluted Master." Arise, Disciple, I know what you have been through, and I am pleased with your performance during this time! Master spoke calmly and helped me up.

Master is always so direct, straight to the point: "I have dealt with some things during this time, I will tell you in detail in the future, now I will explain to you your questions, about the 'Eight Divisions' is what's going on, the spirit Ayuan who has helped you, I will arrange a place for her to go, so that she will become one of your Dharma protectors in the future, because her performance is also her choice, I will not treat her badly, you can rest assured." ”

I wanted to continue to ask, but Master waved his hand at me and said with a smile, "Do you want to ask about the 'Eight Divisions'?" I kept nodding my head, very anxious to know what this "Eight Divisions" meant. So, Master explained to me in detail what the "Eight Beings" were all about.

It turns out that the eight sentient beings are Buddhist terms, and many people may know this term from martial arts novels, and the eight beings are all Shinto monsters except for the heavenly beings, because the "heavenly beings" and "dragon beings" are the most important, so they are also called "heavenly dragon eight parts". The eight divisions include: the One Dharma, the Two Naga, the Three Yakshas, the Four Gandharvas, the Five Asuras, the Six Garudas, the Seven Kinaras, and the Eight Maharajas.

In the first part, the "celestial beings" are the beings living in all levels of the heavens, whose lives are much superior to those of the human world, and their lifespans are much longer.

The second part, the "dragon" in the "dragons", is different from the "dragon king" or "dragon" in the legend of our country, and mainly lives in the water, which is actually Naga.

In the third part, the "Yaksha" is a god who can eat ghosts, and it also has the meaning of agility, bravery, lightness, and secret. Many Yaksha have been transformed into protectors of the Dharma and good gods by Buddhism, and the task of the eight Yaksha generals is to "preserve the realm of sentient beings".

The fourth part, "Gandapo" is also known as "incense god", is a kind of "Gandapo" who does not eat wine and meat, only seeks the aroma "Gandapo" has the meaning of "unpredictable" in Sanskrit, the magician is also called "Gandapo", and the mirage is called "Gandapo City". The aroma and music are vague and elusive.

The fifth part, "Asura", is a very special Shinto, the male is extremely ugly, and the female is extremely beautiful.

The sixth part, "Garuda", refers to the "god of the golden-winged bird". It is a large bird with all kinds of majestic wings and a raised wishful bead on its head, which has a sad song and feeds on the dragon.

In the seventh part, "Kinara" is the god of songs, a musician who specializes in playing Dharma. In Sanskrit, it means "human non-human". He was in the same shape as a man, but with a horn on his head.

In the eighth part, "Mahuraka" is a python god, with a human body and a snake head. Mahuraka is the earth dragon that corresponds to the celestial dragon.

The Eight Divisions of the Heavenly Dragon are said to be the Eight Divisions, but he does not refer to only the eight kinds of life forms, but the eight major parts, each of which has countless lives, such as the Heavenly People, how many layers of heaven are there in the Three Realms? There are countless beings in every layer of heaven who protect the Dharma.

People's cultivation is not as simple as everyone thinks, it is too complicated, people just have a heart that wants to improve, and everything else is arranged by the master.

Once a person truly enters cultivation, as his level gradually increases, he will come into contact with many layers of heaven in the high-level space, and whatever level he cultivates, he will come into contact with what level of heaven, and there may be dangers in many layers of heaven. The Master will look for the life of that heaven as his protector in every heaven, and the Master will always take care of him.

Human space is a special space, because people are in a mystery, they can't see through the essence of things, and although the level of the selected Dharma protector is higher than that of people, they are not confused in that space, so there is no way to cultivate, and as a human protector is an opportunity to quickly improve.

Master emphasized that if you look at one person cultivating alone, in fact, you are bringing a lot of beings to cultivate together. As people cultivate, these Dharma protectors also improve with their cultivation, and when people study the Fa and cultivate, they also study and cultivate together, but their level will not exceed the main body, and when people give up cultivation, they also feel very regretful and helpless, just like the company is gone, and the employees are disbanded. When people go up, they also get naked.

The Heavenly Dragon Babu usually stayed in his space to take care of the cultivators, so they were not together, but they existed around the cultivators at the same time and in the same place.

They have great powers, but they don't participate in the daily life of the cultivators, especially the troubles that the cultivators encounter in their life and work, which are arranged by the Master to improve their mental qualities, and they can't participate in them at all. Their task was to be vigilant in their respective spaces, so as not to let other lifeforms from that space harm the cultivators.

Including the interference in the human world, the master will clean up some of them, but not all of them, and if they are all cleaned up smoothly, they will not be able to cultivate their minds.

The cultivator's body will produce some functional supernatural powers, which are different from the Dharma protectors, which are generated by the cultivators themselves, and are commanded by the cultivator's mind, and someone can achieve them with whatever he thinks in his head, that is, his function runs out and completes his instructions. If the human brain doesn't direct it, it doesn't function. The Dharma Protector is an independent being, has his own mind, can decide what to do and how to do it for himself, and he is not directed by the mind of the cultivator. People are confused, often can't see the essence of things clearly, his approach is likely to be wrong, Tianlong Babu is not in another space, like human space so confused, see things at a glance.

In addition, the situation of the space is too complicated, and there will be troubles that the Dharma Protector cannot solve, so at this time, the master needs to take action. So why is it so difficult for people to cultivate? This is because the source of human beings was originally in the high-level space, and with the increase of selfishness, if they did not meet the requirements of that realm, they fell down, and finally fell into the human space.

Then in the process of walking down the layers, he intersected with the lives of various layers of space, and maybe he owed something to someone. When he cultivates and is about to return to the original high-level space, then the creditors of that layer of space will not let him go up and set up obstacles for him.

If these troubles cultivators can't solve by themselves, the Dharma Protector God will come forward, and they don't necessarily destroy each other, and there are many ways to solve them. For example, the Dharma Protector may bear the karma owed by the main body, and in doing so, he is also enduring hardships and improving, otherwise how can he cultivate to such a high level with the main body? These Dharma protectors appear in another dimension, and some cultivators can see and some cannot.

At this time, I was a little puzzled and said, "Master, I have never seen them." The master smiled: "I can't see that I won't let you see it, I'm afraid that you will be complacent, oh, so I am so powerful?" With so many Dharma Protectors protecting me, I'm not afraid of anything! Any test in a person can be easily passed, and that is not from the improvement of the heart. In that case, how else can he fix it? If it is broken, it will be difficult to repair. Buddhism does not easily show supernatural powers, and it is not easy to talk about wisdom without using it, which is the reason. ”

Master then explained, "When a person in the future truly attains the right fruits, these Dharma Protectors will be all beings in his world. ”

At the end, Master looked at me with an expectant gaze and said, "Cultivation is such a serious and sacred thing, don't think that you are the only one cultivating, countless lives are looking forward to you!" When you encounter trouble in your cultivation, you want to retreat, and if you suffer a little hardship, you feel unfair, are you worthy of Master and the Dharma Protectors? Once you enter the door of cultivation, you will be the object of attention and envy of countless high-level beings, and only once you cultivate to the end, you don't want to shake this rock-solid heart, until you succeed in success, you will not come to this world in vain. ”

I asked Master with some fascination, "Master, they all say that the purpose of a person's cultivation is to achieve perfection, so what is the state of perfection?" ”

When Master heard me ask this question, he was also deeply moved, and said, "Our method, limited by the practice itself, can only be cultivated to the highest level of 'Five Qi Dynasty Yuan', my master is staying in this realm, and in the end he dies of old age, and there is only one way to break through the barrier of this sect. ”
