The sea of bitterness is boundless, please leave
There is no eternal existence in samsara, there are no eternal people and things in the world, and there is nothing for us to be attached to.
Positions, wealth, and everything else in the world are ephemeral and will eventually disappear. At the moment of studying Buddhism, don't cling to these things, let go of your attachments, and enter the door of the Dharma, if you are not attached to the world, you will have renunciation, and with renunciation, you can embark on the path to ultimate liberation!
When it comes to renunciation, many Buddhists think that since they don't want to be attached to the world, then they should abandon their families and children, do no work, and go alone to eat fasting and recite the Buddha, and retreat to study the Dharma!
So, many families smelled
The color of the "Buddha" changed, for fear that his husband, wife, and children would run away from home as soon as they learned Buddhism, and his six relatives would not recognize him.
This is because of the condition caused by a lack of in-depth knowledge of renunciation. Actually, renunciation is
"The heart is out of the world"! In the world, there are causes and responsibilities in the world, and we must be good people and fulfill our responsibilities well.
Renunciation is just to teach your mind not to cling to the world, you still have to learn the principles of being a person and doing things in the world, and do your duty well.
How important is renunciation? If a person who studies Buddhism is proficient in the Sutras and Vinayas, understands a lot of Buddhism, learns compassion and wisdom, and can keep the precepts very purely, even if he practices the Dharma diligently day and night, if he still has attachment to the world, and his mind is not tired of leaving the eight dharmas of the world, and his mind is not completely renunciated, he will still be in the cycle of life and death after all.
Although everything he has practiced has brought great merit and blessing to this life, he still cannot get the ultimate path to liberation in the next life!
When we keep the precepts, have bodhichitta enough, and always study Buddhism very hard in our body, mouth, and mind, but our minds do not leave the world, is there any good fortune?
Of course, there are many blessings. Because you have true bodhichitta and you keep samayas, these unblemished blessings will ripen on the causes of the flaws. But because you don't want to leave this world, then your whole mind is attached to the world, and your good fortune will make you come back to this world, and all of these things will only be reversed and matured in the worldly Dharma, such as fame, wealth, possessions, and so on, and all these things you cultivate will also be polluted by the world.
Whether you are a beginner or a long-time student, a lay person or a monk, renunciation is very important in the process of practice.
Master Huineng, the Sixth Patriarch, once said: "The Dharma is in the world, and it is not separated from the world; Leaving the world to find Bodhi is just like asking for the horns of a rabbit".
Many of our troubles and habits are due to the inseparable greed in our hearts for fame, fame, wealth and so on in the world, and the reality of reincarnation has a lot of unattainable suffering, and everything is impermanent, so when the attachment of ignorance arises, we must be miserable when we face the object of impermanence.
But blindly escaping from reality is another kind of attachment, so Buddhism says that if we want to turn our afflictions into bodhi, then we need to recognize suffering in samsara, reverse suffering in the face of the worldly law, and work hard from our hearts, instead of ignoring our worldly responsibilities.
