Eliminate karma and become enlightened

We will realize that all karma is closely related to sentient beings. Because of the negative karma that has been created for sentient beings, there will be so-called unjust creditors. Who is the creator of the karma that really forms the unjust creditor? It's us. It is precisely because we have sentient beings as objects that we create sinful karma. Now to eliminate these karmas, we also have to rely on the power and causes of sentient beings, and we have to give compassionately and selflessly to sentient beings. We rely on sentient beings to save ourselves!

Ordinary sentient beings are not afraid of creating causes, but are only worried about the retribution, so they are desperately trying to create good and bad karma for the sake of retribution. Sometimes, there is also some short-term happiness in the body or mind because of the accumulation of good fortune. However, we are not an achiever after all, and our understanding of the Dharma, especially the realization of emptiness, is very rare, and most of them are only literal cognitions. When we fail to break our attachment to "the law has me" and "people have me," everything is based on the "self" and is accumulating resources. In fact, we have always been mixed with the disturbing emotions of greed, hatred, and ignorance, and we are persisting in doing good deeds and creating good karma. The good fortune accumulated with such a mind is called the good fortune of the omission.

The good fortune that comes from attachment will also slowly disappear because of attachment. In order not to let it go away, it is important to develop bodhichitta. If we hear, think, and practice the Dharma for the benefit of all sentient beings, and then dedicate all the merit to all sentient beings, and then make a wish for what we want, then this is very powerful. That's why the Buddha attached so much importance to bodhichitta and why he always emphasized it. Because when we create negative karma, we can't create negative karma if we don't have sentient beings as our targets. In the same way, if you do good karma, you can't do good karma if you don't have sentient beings as your object. We should always dedicate merit to all sentient beings with bodhichitta so that the good karma will last a little longer and accumulate a little more, and that's the truth.

So, let's not think that the bodhisattva's mind is necessarily for others. A lot of people think that bodhichitta is just giving to others, so they feel wronged every time they give. In fact, we are in turn relying on the abilities of sentient beings to eliminate our own karma. With the power of sentient beings, we have the means to purify our karma. If we have this concept, it will be easier to practice the bodhisattva path.

If we keep the mentality of "I am all giving for sentient beings", we will gradually think that only we are the best in the world, that we are the only one who is always giving to help sentient beings, that we are the rarest and rarer, and in the end, we will think that all sentient beings owe us us. This mindset unconsciously numbs compassion and eventually leads to the growth of arrogance. As long as a practitioner is arrogant, he will gradually become a "Buddha oil", and it will be difficult to return to the right path of honest practice.

So, it's important to observe yourself. We can often ask ourselves: Why study Buddhism? Why should I be a Buddhist? Why do you want to listen to the Fa? What is the use of listening? What do I have to do to really practice? Thinking more about this aspect can give us some motivation and some learning effect for those of us who really want to be Buddhists. Believing and remembering these words will be very helpful to everyone.

Through repentance and introspection, we can clearly meet our unknown selves. Because of the karma of beginninglessness, it is difficult for us to see ourselves clearly, arrogant and self-righteous, under the catalysis of our ego. As a result of this self-inflicted suffering, we often have to blame the outside world, so the pitiful thing about samsaric beings is ignorance. Repentance can help us reverse our habit of being stubborn. Another reason for the formation of reincarnation is that we are accustomed to our habits, and such a spinning top is far from suffering and happiness. Therefore, the elimination of karma is also to let us learn to break habits.
