Chapter 461: A Brief Temptation (Part 1)

The big battle between the Thunder and the Clippers is bound to be Mars hitting the Earth.

Last season's semi-final showdown still left fans unsatisfied.

Both teams are full of talent and have a good style of play, and they are among the fast-rising favorites in the league.

The Thunder, who are playing away from home, are determined to win this battle of revenge.

Experts, commentators, and fans want to see who will be the future king of the two most talented teams in the West through this game.

In the starting lineup, the Thunder's main backcourt, Sefrosa, was absent due to injury, so Eric Gordon started in place of Sephorosa.

This makes the Thunder's starting lineup more aggressive, but Gordon, who is used to playing off the bench, may not be able to adapt to it.

And, as a result, the Thunder's bench thickness has been weakened.

And the Clippers are still fully healthy tonight, because the ample rotation keeps everyone in good shape.

The starting lineup is still Randolph, Gasol Jr., Ricky Davis, Harden plus Curry.

Of course, the Clippers, who have just experienced a plateau battle, are still in doubt.

Did the players get a good rest? Did Curry go home and sleep? Where did Harden go?

Did Randolph go to a bar? Is Ricky Davis at home adjusting? Did little Gasol go to his brother's house to eat, drink and have fun......

These are things that only the players themselves know, so sometimes the players don't perform well on the pitch, and there may be a reason behind it.

The good news is that since the failure of Min Congda's "Whole Team Fall Plan", this thing has no intention of leading everyone on an expedition.

At present, the atmosphere in the Clippers can be said to be clean, with the only exception being Harden, who has been up and down recently, which is obviously abnormal.

Jump ball, Gasol Jr. and Ibaka in the center circle.

Ibaka had an amazing ability to bounce and get the ball first, and the Thunder launched their first attack.

The competition has officially begun.

In the opening tentative offensive round, Westbrook chose to pass the ball to Ibaka after blocking and dismantling.

Ibaka received the ball at the corner and the Clippers used one-on-one close defense to cut off the Thunder's passing lanes.

This is a more conservative and effective defensive strategy at the beginning, a panacea.

Ibaka turned left and right after receiving the ball, there was no good passing opportunity, so he simply threw himself back from the middle distance!

The shot was a bit of a surprise to Randolph, while Ibaka's mid-range shot was surprisingly good.

The ball hollowed into the net and won the first point of the game!

Don't look at Ibaka as a bouncy macho man, and with the nickname of 28 cards, he can be described as talented.

But he has a pretty good mid-to-long-range shot and can provide consistent scoring for the team in regular time.

That's why Ibaka can partner Perkins as a consistent starting power forward.

If this guy is also an offensive rough brother and has no range at all, then the interior attack power of the Thunder, the starter, is too lacking.

Compared with the Clippers' relatively conservative, mild one-on-one defense, the Thunder's defense at the beginning of the game seemed more targeted - packing.

The opening game began with a bag of Curry and Harden.

The three Thunder outside players, Durant, Gordon, and Westbrook are all very athletic and extremely physical players.

With Ibaka, a big forward with super mobility and jumping ability, he can do a lot of pressure and wrap defense on the opponent's perimeter.

And the inside line, it's up to Perkins to deal with alone.

Therefore, the Thunder's defense line is sometimes squeezed and deformed.

But the Thunder are able to rely on the players' strong athleticism to quickly rotate and make up for the defense.

Don't look at the Thunder's talent, with super attackers like Kevin Durant and Westbrook.

In fact, they are a defensive team, just like the 76ers led by Allen Iverson.

They were able to keep their opponents' points averaging 95 points per game while averaging 103 points per game.

The Clippers scored 105 points per game, while their opponents scored 99 points.

The Thunder also have the highest blocks per game in the league.

Their players are very strong in defense and blocking.

This puts a lot of offensive pressure on the Clippers from the outside.

Curry split the ball to Gasol Jr. in the pack.

Gasol Jr. is giving Ricky Davis a 45-degree catch.

Davis opted to try a three-point shot and the ball missed.

Then on the offensive end, the Thunder were still a little sluggish.

Durant passed the ball after blocking and dismantling, Westbrook broke through unsuccessfully, and then blocked and passed again.

Perkins and Ibaka were in the high post with a continuous pick-and-roll, pick-and-roll.

Finally caught a chance, Durant hobed the ball to Ibaka who cut inside.

Gasol Jr.'s defense leaked, and Ibaka received the ball and smashed it with both hands!

The Thunder started the game with back-to-back scores, and they were clearly in better shape than the Clippers.

Back-to-back still had an impact on the Clippers players, who had some inattention on the court.

Soon, though, the Clippers also scored their first point in the opening game.

Gasol Jr. responded with the ball in the high post and gave it to Curry, who then dropped the ball to Randolph who cut out of the baseline.

Randolph received the ball and immediately turned around, and with a hook shot of his left hand, the ball bounced twice on the basket and fell into the net.

The ball goes in, and that looks like Steve Cole's passing system, and the players play smart.

Curry and Harden didn't start the game with a hard start, and they themselves knew that it would not be good to rush too hard at the beginning of consecutive games.

Usually, the Clippers start from the outside and shoot hot three-point shots.

But in the face of thunder, you can't fight like this, you will die, you must be steady and take your time.

Both sides started the game relatively tepidly, and Durant on the Thunder's side didn't seem to want to do it himself so early.

Instead, choose to assist teammates more, let teammates open first, and then make efforts to close the game later.

This is the usual rhythm of a superstar player.

Use passing, defensive attraction pulling, and create opportunities for teammates.

When it's time to get the most out of the game, shoot to kill the game.

That's right, that's what Durant thinks.

The through ball that was just passed to Ibaka, although it was not very beautiful slowly, but the assist was successful!

Again, this time on the right side, blocking, Ibaka cutting outside, Durant jumps up again and passes the ball high!

As a result, the ball was cut off by Ricky Davis!

You're too slow to pass the ball, do you think you're going to keep passing like that?

Ricky Davis dribbled past half court, and he didn't get on it himself, and came out in a circle to give it to Curry, who was keeping up.

Curry received the ball at 45 degrees on the right side and made a direct three-point shot!

The ball flies straight to the basket and hits with precision!

The first cheers of the night erupted at the Staples Center.

Curry's three-pointer, like a ringing arrow, indicates that the brief temptation of the two sides has passed.

High-intensity showdowns are coming soon.

Some people died, but not completely......
