Chapter Seventy-One: Broken Tail
In the villa where Peggy and the others are hiding.
"Boss, Woodbury has sent another convoy."
Peggy tapped on her laptop as she said to Leon:
"This time, a total of six vehicles were dispatched, and I also saw a heavy machine gun, armed in about twenty people."
"Oh, I'll see."
Leon put down the English masterpiece in his hand, went to the laptop, and looked at the surveillance screen on the screen.
Two vans, two pickups, a truck, a jeep, most of the people sat in the car, except for two strong men guarding the heavy machine guns.
He frowned and asked Peggy:
"Do you see the man named the Governor?"
"Is he in the convoy?"
Peggy thought for more than ten seconds, wrinkled her cute little face, lowered her head slightly and said to Leon:
"I'm sorry, boss, there are several people wearing hats, they can't see their looks clearly, and they are about the same size, I can't confirm it."
Leon's deep eyes flashed with a glimmer of light, and he said softly:
"I used to recognize him so easily, but now he wears a lot of hats, how can there be such a coincidence."
He stood up and said to the people in the room:
"No matter what tricks he plays, if he manages the more than 20 people who went out this time, he will not be able to make waves."
"Let's go, inform Team Darryl that they're ready to act."
Soon, under the surveillance of the reconnaissance drone, Leon and the others converged with the Daryl team and followed behind the team.
Sitting in the back seat of the armed jeep, driven by the Kevila, Leon handed an assault rifle to Martin and said meaningfully:
"Mr. Martin, if there is a fight, we will see how you perform, and after this mission, I will let you continue to be the captain of the Woodbury Exploration Team, and don't let me down."
Martin smiled a little reluctantly, took the rifle, and held it in his arms, slightly dazed.
Kevira glanced at Martin in the rearview mirror, showed a disdainful smile, and didn't speak.
Woodbury's team made their way to the plain where the zombie trap had been dug up.
When they arrived at the destination, more than 20 people walked down from the convoy, most of them had nervous expressions, hesitated movements, and often made some small mistakes that should not have occurred, and they did seem to be some novice rookies.
None of these novice rookies noticed that at a distance of one or two hundred meters above their heads, three reconnaissance drones with optical stealth functions were recklessly filming all their actions.
Daryl came to Leon's side with an assault rifle on his back, looked at the surveillance screen on the monitor, and said softly:
"Boss, how are you going to act this time, or do you want to scare them?"
Leon touched his stubble, which was a little prickly, and stared at the rookies scurrying around in the picture to make sure there was no sign of the Governor.
"Let's just blow up their car with a bazooka and see what tricks they're playing?"
He glanced at Sherman, who was sitting in the passenger seat, and said to Kevira, who was sitting in the driver's seat:
"You have the best marksmanship, let Sherman drive the car, you use a sniper rifle to suppress the whole scene, and if you see any threatening target, shoot him in the air."
Kevira nodded coldly, shook his long hair, jumped out of the car with a slight flip, and walked to the trunk to take out his favorite camouflage repeating sniper rifle.
Once everyone was ready, the Darryl team's convoy flanked Woodbury's team in the direction of the team.
A few minutes later, while Woodbury's squad was still looking around for clues as the boss had ordered, eight or nine modified cars with various bulletproof armor were rushing towards them at great speed.
The speed on the opposite side was very fast, and they had just taken out their weapons and were about to react, when they saw the people in the opposite convoy take out more than a dozen brand-new rocket launchers, and more than a dozen rockets shot up into the sky, with fire and screams, shooting towards them.
As far as the eye can see, the head and face are covered with this kind of frightening rockets.
Everyone panicked, some ordinary survivors who had just picked up guns were directly frightened by such a scene, their feet weakened, and they almost turned around and fled, even those veterans who had experienced many gunfights were scared into a cold sweat.
Thankfully, the whistling rockets in the sky did not bombard them, but bypassed them and hit the cars that were parked not far away.
Boom, boom, boom!
The violent explosion at close range immediately made them feel the earth tremble, and countless deafening noises and skin-scorching flames erupted around them, and at this moment, all of them were shocked by the power of these rockets.
Except for a few still strong veterans, all the rookie rookies were paralyzed to the ground in fright, desperately begging for mercy.
While they were still in a state of dizziness, the enemy convoy quickly surrounded them, and countless long guns and short cannons were aimed at their vital points in a daze, so that they did not dare to act rashly.
These enemies are dressed in uniform black leather armor, and their hands are full of powerful weapons such as bazookas, automatic rifles, and assault rifles, and even the temperament on their bodies is full of that kind of silence and slaughter like iron-blooded tough guys.
Just by seeing them, the survivors of Woodbury knew that they and others were no match for them.
Everyone didn't dare to act rashly, and some novice rookies were already so scared that they peed their pants, holding their heads in their hands, and shouting not to hurt them, shivering there.
Leon observed for dozens of seconds, frowned slightly, stepped out of the protective circle of his subordinates, pointed his gun at a person who looked most like a veteran, and asked:
"Why are you guys the only ones here?"
"Where's that Governor?"
Facing the muzzle of the black hole in Leon, it was a white strong man with stubble swallowed his saliva and said hesitantly:
"He should still be in Woodbury, and this operation was remotely directed by him by radio."
"You blew up those cars, and we can't contact him anymore."
Hearing this, Leon was both surprised and not so surprised, and some could not guess what Governor Philippe thought.
But now, the car has also been bombed, the main forces of the enemy are in front of you, and the drones are under surveillance within a few kilometers of the vicinity, no matter how you think about it, the man should not be able to do any tricks.
In short, the soldiers are coming to block, the water is coming to cover the earth, and he has an absolute advantage in strength, and he is not afraid of Philip making any moths at all.
He turned to Daryl and said:
"Daryl, tie them all up and put them in the car."
"I'll take a couple of people back to Woodbury to have a look."
Daryl looked at the rookies in front of him who had lost their sense of battle, nodded, and said:
"Got it, boss, it's better to hand over these people to my teammates to deal with, and I'll go back with you."
Leon thought for a moment, then nodded, there is really no need for Daryl to guard here, and it may be more useful to bring him back.
A few minutes later, Leon left the plain with Kevila, Daryl, Peggy and other elites, as well as some of Daryl's team's cannon fodder.
In order to cope with the accident, he also specially brought Martin Ness, the original survivor of Woodbury.
A group of more than a dozen people drove a few cars towards the small town of Woodbury.
Twenty minutes later, they had barely seen the outline of the town when they saw in the distance the corner where the town of Woodbury was located, billowing smoke rising.
By the time their convoy approached the edge of the camp, the screams and confusion in Woodbury could be heard distinctly.
Martin said with a gloomy face:
"The place of the explosion was our powder magazine and warehouse, and it must have been that madman from the Governor, who saw that something was not going well and wanted to destroy the whole of Woodbury."
He hesitated for a moment, but then said to Leon:
"Mr. Custer, if you can, please save the survivors here."
"After all, they are all human beings just like us."
Leon glanced at him with some surprise, nodded lightly and said:
"Don't worry, our organization is an upright organization that puts people first and strives for humanity."
"We will do our best to save the innocent survivors so that they can contribute to the common cause of humanity."
Martin's expression froze slightly, but soon revealed a false smile and said:
"What a great ideal, thank you so much, Mr. Custer, I am willing to show you the way."
Soon, under Martin's guidance, Leon and his party came to the gate of Woodbury, but when they got closer, they found that the gate had been attacked by zombies, and in the open gate, seven or eight zombies were gnawing on a corpse by the door, the body of a teenage boy.
Near the gate, there were several bodies that had been shot.
Martin's face was a little ugly, and he said:
"This is little Buddy, and his father is in the middle of the crowd on the plains."
Seeing that the situation was so urgent, Leon said to his subordinates beside him:
"Follow me and help them clean up the zombies inside."
He thought for a moment and added.
"Pay attention to your surroundings, be careful of the person called the Governor, and don't be overshadowed by the people inside."
The people obeyed.
With the addition of more than a dozen assault rifles, the zombies at the gate were immediately swept away.
Leon walked into Woodbury with the crowd, immediately reflexively closed the open door to prevent more zombies from entering, and then led the crowd to start cleaning up the zombies on the street.
It has been about 8 months since the disaster began, and Camp Woodbury has been established for more than 3 months, and the zombies near this camp have already been almost cleaned up.
A large part of the reason for this accident is that Governor Philip has sent out all the combatant soldiers in the camp in the past two days, and even the guns in the arsenal have been taken by the soldiers.
Blowing up the warehouse and weapons depot, and quietly opening the gate of the camp, the loud noise immediately attracted the remaining zombies nearby.
In the face of these terrifying monsters, these unarmed and unskilled survivors are like frightened rabbits, and can only survive by hiding and escaping.
But judging from the corpses left on the streets, there are still many survivors who died in the mouths of zombies.
Da-da-da-da! Da-da-da-da! Da-da-da-da!
Leon and the others formed a simple formation, using the weapons in their hands to quickly clean up the zombies on the street, and the barrage composed of more than a dozen people was very powerful, and none of the zombies could break through their defenses.
With their rapid advance, everyone centered on Leon, venting their anger in their hearts, after using the third magazine, they had already killed from the street to the end of the street, close to more than two hundred zombies, dead at the muzzle of their guns.
In the process, Leon was constantly on the lookout for attacks by Governor Philippe or others, but until the battle was over, no one attacked them from the shadows.
After the streets are cleared.
Gradually, the survivors who had taken refuge in the houses came out of their houses with careful vigilance, most of them looking sad and in a trance, as if they had lost their souls, searching for their relatives among the corpses in the streets.
By the time Leon and the others returned to the heart of Woodbury, all that was left in the streets was weeping and screaming of grief.
However, human beings do not share their sorrows.
Except for a few kind young people like Peggy, Leon and Kevira, Daryl and other elite warriors don't feel much.
Leon patted Martin's shoulder with a sad face without expression, and said:
"Mr. Martin, please go and communicate with them, and be sure to inform them of Governor Philip's evil deeds."
"I'm going to send someone to bring the 20-odd survivors back here and reunite them with their families."
He said to the retired soldier earnestly:
"The members of our organization will soon receive here, your people have already gone through a lot of suffering, and I don't want something unpleasant to happen to both of us at that time."
"That would only result in indifferent killings."
He looked at Martin with a threatening look on his face and said:
"Can you understand what I mean, Mr. Martin Ness."
Martin looked into Leon's eyes, took a deep breath, and said with a heavy expression:
"I see what you mean, Mr. Custer."
"I know what kind of power you have, and I know where we are now."
"Rest assured, I will do my best to convince the people here to cooperate with you."
Leon nodded in satisfaction and whispered.
"That's good."
"Rest assured, Martin, I'm a man with rewards and punishments, and no one likes bloodshed."
Looking at Martin's departing back, Leon turned to his right-hand men and said:
"Let's go, let's take a good look around here and scout the neighborhood."
"Look, what did that man leave for us?"
Time flickered, and it was late at night.
Leon moved into Governor Philip's room, leaning back on a couch and looking at Philip's collection of zombie specimens, letting out a disdainful curse from his mouth.
"What a pervert."
"I like this kind of thing."
Kevira changed into a loose black bathrobe, which made her white body more attractive, and walked behind Leon, the girl looked at those ugly zombie specimens without changing her face, put her delicate body on the man's back, and said with a smile:
"It's not surprising at all."
"You don't know how perverted those famous rich people are in private."
"My dear, special people always have some special hobbies."
"Aren't you bastard also particularly obsessed with power and women?"
The girl lay in Leon's arms, reaching out and grabbing his vital point, with a seductive expression on her face.
"You should thank this pervert."
"His dark desire to destroy has helped you solve a lot of troubles."
"If it weren't for his madness to kill everyone here."
"If you want to gain their obedience, you will have to sacrifice a lot of lives."
"Although the Philip escaped in the end, but without his army, he will only turn into a shadowy rat, hiding in his cave, licking his wounds, and then cursing you fiercely in his heart."
The girl laughed coquettishly, stuck out her tongue, licked Leon's abs, and said coquettishly:
"What's so nice about these things, we should change rooms, the surging flame in your heart, I really want to taste it, what it tastes like."
