Chapter Ninety-Five: The Bazaar

Kevila's mood adjusted quickly, and after crying in Leon's arms for less than ten minutes, he returned to his usual slightly arrogant elite temperament.

After listening to her story, Leon learned that Clemantine's parents and her parents were business partners, friends in reality, and that four or five years ago, Kevila, who was still in high school, had already met Claymanting, but the little girl grew up too fast and she didn't recognize her when she first met.

When the two chatted, they unconsciously talked about their relatives and parents, which would cause the red-haired girl's emotions to get out of control.

Little Claymanting was very strong, and although she was in tears, she told Leon that her parents had traveled to Savannah before the disaster, and that the middle-aged black man Lee had been protecting her for most of the year, and had promised to take her to Savannah to find her parents.

Leon thought about it for a moment, it seemed to be this plot, but in the process of finding their parents, they met many survivors along the way, and those survivors, including the middle-aged black man Lee, basically died at the hands of zombies.

So, he touched Clementine's little head and said to Kevila:

"Tomorrow we will go to the bazaar outside Troy to reconnoiter the information there, and if there is enough time, we will take little Clementine to Sanovan to have a look."

Savannah is a tourist town in Georgia near the coast, which is not too far away, only about 150 kilometers, and if you fly a helicopter by Kevila, it probably won't take a day to go back and forth.

Kevira took little Claymanting in her arms and said indifferently:

"I don't have a problem, but do you have time to go?"

Leon scratched his chin and said uncertainly:

"I should have time, just go to the beach to see, maybe the coastal area is more suitable for us to survive!"

The next day, although it was certain that the market maintained by the Trojan Mutual Aid Society was safe, Leon still set off with more than 40 elite escorts, as well as Kevila, Paigin, Daryl, Andrea, and Anya and his wife, who were in charge of leading the way.

They drove a dozen armored vehicles to the village called Dram, near the bazaar outside the village.

The Trojan Mutual Aid Society chose an abandoned outdoor parking lot as the market site, with a metal red roof to protect it from the wind and rain, and a simple blue iron fence around all areas except the entrance and exit.

When Leon brought people inside, he found that the interior of the parking lot was very spacious and very lively, and as far as the eye could see, at least five or six hundred people were setting up stalls and trading in this assembly.

Most of these people are old-fashioned, sloppy, and they are loud at each other's prices when buying and selling, as if they were arguing.

Some sat on the floor, like a stall, and laid a rag in front of them with the items he sold.

Others built several tables and put them together to form a booth where they sold their own things.

Others are more upscale, they take a lot of wooden boards, tarpaulins and other garbage, build a separate space similar to a small shop, and even hang the name of the store on the roof.

But as Leon and the others entered, the atmosphere in the parking lot was quiet, although these people in the assembly were not the same group, but they had been together for more than half a year, and they might not be able to name each other, but there would always be some familiar acquaintances and acquaintances with each other.

And people like Leon, who are brightly dressed, dozens of strong men wearing high-end standard equipment, and like soldiers, are not characters they know at first glance.

As soon as they walked in a dozen meters, Leon saw a handsome woman in her thirties with an assault rifle in her hand, a black leather jacket and blue jeans, walking over with a serious face, followed by seven or eight survivors with weapons.

The woman walked up to Leon and the others, looked around covertly, looked at the tall and burly handsome man with outstanding temperament in the crowd, and asked in a serious voice:

"Sir, what is the purpose of your coming to the Trojan Mutual Exchange?"

Leon smiled a kind and charming male smile and spoke:

"This lady, my name is Lyon Castel, and my team and I happened to pass by Troy and learned about this exchange from the mouths of several survivors."

"So, I asked them to bring my men over and see if they could trade what we needed from here."

Leon looked into the woman's eyes and asked politely:

"I've heard that as long as there is no armed conflict here, this exchange welcomes all survivors, is that true?"

The woman in her 30s was silent for a few seconds, then spoke:

"I'm Trojan Mutual Aid militia captain McKenna, and our fair does welcome all good survivors."

"But, Mr. Custer, since this is your first time here, can I be your guide and accompany you on your trade?"

The corners of Leon's mouth curled, and he said:

"Of course, I have a question for you, Ms. McKenna."

Although the captain of the McKenna militia was full of vigilance, Leon really didn't have any bad intentions in his heart, and the two walked at the forefront of the team, chatting as they walked, as long as it didn't involve secret content, Leon generously gave a true answer, and his honesty was exchanged for some trust from this Makenna lady.

Through the conversation between the two sides, he learned a lot of information, this lady was originally a native of Troy County, and she was also a county sheriff in the town, and after the disaster broke out, she immediately organized a manpower, with several county police and several prestigious elites, united the survivors of the town, and fled to the Fort Benning military base together.

And after the civil strife at the Benningbao military base, their group also united closely and successfully escaped from that purgatory.

After a group of several hundred people escaped from Fort Benning, after some deliberation and with the intelligence support of the local residents of Drum, they cleared the zombies near here and successfully occupied the agricultural village called Drum.

After more than half a year of hard work, everyone gradually adapted to the life of the last days and found their place, and they did not want outsiders to destroy this hard-won peaceful life.

This seemingly sincere and threatening intelligence made Leon shake his head secretly when he heard it, in the world of the end of the world, it is not that you can settle down if you want to be stable, sail against the current, if you don't advance, you will retreat, unless your size is large enough, otherwise what awaits you is the fate of being swallowed up by other organizations.

However, since this Trojan Mutual Aid Society wants to live its own life in peace, Leon will not provoke them for the time being, at least before occupying the military base, it is best not to add unexpected enemies.

Accompanied by McKenna and under the curious or frightened gazes of the other survivors, the group walked through the market, where several girls traded bullets and picked out items that suited their hearts.

In fact, there are nothing too good, except for all kinds of daily necessities, canned snacks, clothing decorations, most of them are some strange little things, like cameras, radios, binoculars, remote control cars and so on.

However, there is no shortage of these rags in the deep-pocketed umbrella company, and to Leon's surprise, there are still many relatively scarce talents in this bazaar, who rely on their own skills in exchange for food and necessary materials, such as doctors, barbers, dentists, blacksmiths, tailors, and even chemical tycoons who rub bombs by hand, military talents who make guns and bullets by hand, and they are very happy.

After walking through the market, Leon suddenly asked McNa:

"Ms. McKenna, can we set up a booth here too?"

McKenna was silent, looked at Leon for seven or eight seconds with her somewhat sharp eyes, and then spoke:

"As long as you abide by the order here and do not use force to intimidate or threaten to harm others, we will treat them equally."

Leon nodded with a smile and said sincerely:

"Don't worry, Ms. McKenna, we are all good survivors, and far more people have been saved than killed."

After speaking, he didn't pay attention to McKenna, who looked a little ugly, but turned to Andrea and said:

"Andrea, I need you to set up a temporary recruitment office for the umbrella company in this exchange."

"Responsible for recruiting all interested survivors here, I will send someone to build a temporary stronghold for you around here, and send Captain Moore and fifty elite warriors to protect your safety."

He looked at Andrea and said:

"You don't have to worry about anything else, you can report to me if you have any problems, your task is to recruit as many talents as possible for the umbrella company."

Andrea nodded with a serious face and said:

"I see, Mr. Custer."

"I'm going to get as many things as I can."

After giving instructions to Amy's sister, Leon turned to McKenna and said:

"Madam, our organization, the umbrella company is a positive organization of integrity and fairness, full of order."

"Any kind survivors and organizations are welcome to work with us."

"When you get to know us well, maybe we can be allies."

Leon smiled faintly.

"Of course, our organization is thousands of people, powerful, and has the standard equipment of a regular legion, and will not be afraid of any enemy challenge."

"It turns out that any marauder who tries to be our enemy has been sent to hell by us."
