Chapter 18: The Chest
A stone with a crisp whistling sound struck the woman on the right side of her face. The force was great, and the woman's face sockets quickly swelled. She shook a few times and almost fell to the ground. The stick she struck me in the back had no more force. The story is the same as that of a mysterious knight, but he never appeared in front of me.
I ignored the foreign girl who ran away, and went to save Lao Lin first. The river flowed silently, watching everything that happened around it without even adding a splash to it. There are some colored stones at the bottom of the river, and the water waves glow beautifully in the sun, like a ring on a peacock's feathers, which covers my eyes.
Lao Lin was still unconscious, and that stick was worth a lot of crit. I lifted him up, landed one foot deep and one foot shallow, and then sat down on the rock, gasping for air. The injured Lao Lin was very heavy, and the wounds on his body were still bleeding. The world was empty, and I wanted to cry but couldn't.
After Lao Lin finally dragged to the side of the car, I asked him to lie down on the tire, and then climbed into the car to find some paper, cloth and the like, and like Lao Lin, he didn't find anything. It's a new car. I don't know how to drive, so I don't know anything about it. It was getting dark, and strangely, no one was passing by.
Lao Lin's shock lasted for a while. I really thought he was dead at some point. At that moment I no longer hated him, I didn't hate him for bringing me to this place of death. I just think this man is my father, the father I have been with for eighteen years. My tears flowed uncontrollably, and I didn't have the strength to wipe them, and I didn't have the heart to wipe them. I didn't think of my mother, I didn't think of anyone, at that moment, I only had every moment with Lao Lin in my mind.
Fortunately, a long, long time later, like 10,000 years, Lao Lin hummed and muttered, water, water. I quickly unscrewed the mineral water bottle for him and poured a few sips, most of which ran down the corners of his mouth.
But he survived, and I was overjoyed. When he woke up, he pointed to the trunk for the first time, but he didn't have the strength to speak. I climbed over to take a look, the trunk was closed, and I didn't know how to open it.
According to Lao Lin's instructions, I pulled out the car key, pressed the unpacking button of the trunk, and the back box opened.
It's empty, what's the box?
The box is gone, where did the box go? I saw Lao Lin's flustered expression in my eyes. At such an exciting life-and-death juncture just now, Lao Lin did not panic. But now, I clearly feel that he is at a loss. He asked me in a trembling voice, do you see the box?
I don't answer, he knows my answer, but he still mutters to himself like an evil man. "My life is gone, what more box do I need?" I asked, puzzled.
"You don't know, you don't know." Lao Lin asked me to slowly help him to the co-pilot's seat, taught me to adjust the seat very flat, and then lay down weakly and said, these paintings can cost me ten lives. He looked out the window, it was already completely dark, and I saw his tears.
"Step on the brakes, twist the key, let go, release your foot, and give oil to your right foot....." finally lit the fire, and we drove out with difficulty.
