Chapter 21: Ceiling Levels
In the morning, Martin returned from his routine workout and continued to eat at Carter's house, when he reached the gate of the courtyard when he heard a quarrel coming from the open door.
"I'm the dad of you sluts!" Scott Carter's voice was like a truck horn: "I don't have the money to go to you shit?" Are you looking for your mother? Harris, don't hide like a, you used the cassette last time and you owe me $20. ”
Harris said, "I didn't use your cassette, I don't owe you 100 percent. ”
"It's $10!" Elena slapped $10 on the table and said with a cold face, "You can go!" ”
Scott picked up the money, turned around and left, and went out just in time to see Martin, who was pressed down by Elena, and instantly rose: "Bastard, I heard that you made money?" Also bought a car? When will I pay back the money I owe? ”
Martin was inexplicable: "You're in the water in your head?" ”
"Your waste daddy seduces my wife, and it's free every day!" Scott snapped his fingers and counted, "Every day that passes, your father and son owe me $200, let me calculate how much you owe me." ”
Elena came out of the doorway and slammed her fist on it.
Scott hurriedly left, and said as he walked: "How can I raise you waste, my mother makes people feel good, and she doesn't know how to collect money." ”
Elena turned around and went back, as if she hadn't heard.
Martin was thick-skinned and not embarrassed, and followed up to breakfast.
Old bastard Jack fucks me.
Hall came over and suggested, "You should break his nose." ”
Martin sat down at the table and said, "He's your dad, if I beat him up, he took the initiative to go to the children's agency and send you and Lily to foster care, guess what?" ”
Hall was silent.
Lily answered, "We'll never see you anymore. ”
Martin took a book and threw it at Lily.
"I'll complain to you and seduce underage girls." Lily held up the book in her hand, but it was a copy of "The Attic". She said viciously, "You will be arrested and sent to a women's prison." ”
Harris wondered: "Women's prison? Martin liked the concept up to 100 percent. ”
Lily's eyes were fixed on him, like an idiot: "Do you have in your head?" ”
"Shut up!" Elena yelled, "Come over for breakfast." ”
After breakfast, Lily and Hall, a pair of idiots, go to school, and Harris goes back to his room to review his homework.
Elena put away the table and pointed at Martin's neck, "Which woman did you get it from?" The battle is fierce! ”
Martin shrugged: "Scratched by the Methodists." He took out the check and handed it over: "Your payment." ”
Elena saw the number on it, and her eyebrows flew: "$800!" Wow, that's a lot! ”
Martin gave another check to Elena: "Give Monica the $200, don't tell her the number you got." By the way, on Wednesday afternoon, I'm going to have a backyard party to celebrate, and I've invited a few friends and colleagues, and you can invite a few more friends over. ”
There are no hordes of young ladies and any kind of party.
Elena replied, "No problem, I'll promise to find you a bunch of hooves." ”
She packed up, picked up a bag, and asked, "Will this be okay?" Drop me off at the supermarket. ”
Martin pulled out his car keys and went to drive in the backyard next door, driving a short distance out of the community, passing by a lottery shop, Elena called a halt and wanted to buy lottery tickets.
"Shall I buy one for you?" She asked.
Martin took out the money and handed it over: "Take your pick." ”
Elena quickly bought a lottery ticket and returned with the ticket stub handed to Martin: "I hope you have shit luck." ”
Martin put it away and asked, "You've been insisting on buying?" ”
Elena put away the ticket stub seriously: "In the case of the carter family, the only possibility is to win the lottery." ”
She suddenly looked tired: "I also want to get the idiot Harris to go to a good college, and I want to get the idiot Lily and the waste Hall to go to a private school, but what can I do?" I don't know anything but to send you hair! ”
Martin drove the car, thought for a while, and said, "Learn a skill and get a job with a stable income." If you want to learn, I can teach you bartending. ”
Elena lacks self-confidence: "I'm stupid. ”
Martin encouraged: "I'm not smart either. ”
"That's right!" Elena realized: "You can learn from an idiot, I'm sure I'm fine." ”
Martin drops off Elena, thinks about what he needs for the party, and goes to the supermarket to buy it.
When I went back, I bought a few newspapers by the way.
The Atlanta Constitutional Journal, Atlanta's largest local newspaper with a large circulation, still covers the Methodist's conflict with the Women's Association, with frequent references to the name of the Beast House Club.
Conservative newspapers define the House of the Beast as a social cancer.
Martin found Kelly Gray's business card, went to the Marietta Library, used a public computer, and looked up the relevant information through the Internet.
Both ATL Women's Club and Gray Film & Television have official websites.
Posts about Kelly Gray can also be found on local women's forums in Atlanta.
Kelly Gray is 31 years old, from a wealthy family, an active feminist, and her Gray Film and Television Production Company is not large-scale, but it cooperates with a number of cable stations to specialize in producing large-scale beautiful late-night dramas.
Martin found a few films to watch, and the overall scale is equivalent to the uncut version of "Fifty Shades of Grey".
The audience matches Kelly Gray's identity and is heavily feminine.
Also, Kelly Gray worked in Hollywood for four years after graduating from USC.
As far as Martin really has a relationship, Kelly Gray is a ceiling-level existence.
Martin's personal experience has taught him that networking is a key ingredient to success.
The first contact with Kelly Gray was good, and Martin certainly won't let it go.
When he got home, he found an excuse and thought back and forth and dialed Kelly Gray.
The one who answered the phone was Ella, Kylie Gray's assistant.
Martin introduced himself and said, "The House of the Beast intends to sue the Methodist and lacks experience in this area and does not know a professional lawyer, and I would like to consult Ms. Gray about this." ”
He had consulted Vincent.
"Wait a minute." Ella turned the phone to Kelly Gray's office and gave a brief explanation.
Kelly Gray has taken time out of her time these days to deal with disputes with the Methodist Church, and when she heard Martin Davis's name, she immediately remembered the good-looking young man with three scars on his neck and asked Ella to turn the phone on.
"The House of the Beast is preparing to sue the Methodist, and I was worried about affecting Ms. Gray's plans, so I made this call," Martin said. ”
Before making a move, she called her first, and Kelly was very satisfied with Martin's attitude, and said: "I read the interview published in the newspaper, you said it very well, you have a favorable position in public opinion, I will have someone to help you contact the media and hold a press conference." ”
As it stands, the House of the Beast is a gun in the hands of the ATL Women's Association.
"The House of the Beast Club will definitely be at the forefront of defending women's rights!" Martin's true intentions are hidden behind these high-sounding reasons: "Ms. Gray, you are the banner of free women in Atlanta, and I take the liberty of inviting you to come to the club in your spare time, which will be a great encouragement to all those who support the affirmative action movement." ”
The ATL Women's Association has been closely linked to the House of the Beast and the power of women to enjoy the night freely, and Kelly Gray only thought about it for a moment and responded, "I'll find a night to go over." ”
