Chapter 46: The Real Audition
In the living room of the hotel suite, Louise slipped her hands into the pockets of her cropped pants and leaned against the bar, watching Martin quickly shake the flask diagonally across from her.
Before Martin came over, he deliberately changed into a well-fitting V-neck T-shirt, and his muscular figure outlined the perfect lines.
Kelly sat on a barstool with her hands on her chest, feeling that Martin's bartending movements and gestures were more artistic than when he was in the House of the Beast.
Martin took out the iced glass and poured the liquor, and folded the delicate paper airplane on the rim of the glass as a decoration: "Paper airplane, please taste." ”
Louise stared at the orange-red and translucent wine, took it and tasted it carefully, elegant and delicate, soft and refreshing.
It was a taste of wine she had never tasted before, a brand new cocktail.
This glass of wine alone is worth it tonight.
Martin didn't ignore Kelly, and mixed a glass of Kapirina with sugar cane as a base and served it: "Kelly, this is yours." ”
"Sweetness is better for me." Kelly took a small sip.
Louise finished the second sip, tasted it carefully, suddenly put down the cold wine glass, took a paper towel to clean the mist on her hands, and stretched out her right hand towards the bar: "Officially acquaintance, Louise Meyer, from Los Angeles." ”
This is completely different from Kelly's introduction to the two of them, Martin also wiped his hands clean and shook her hand lightly: "Martin Davis, a bartender and actor. ”
"It's a glass of wine that will go down in the history of cocktails." Louise took a sip of the remaining orange liquor: "Martin, you're a genius. ”
Martin deliberately said: "I've tried countless recipes, and I've had a lot of luck. ”
Louise thought thoughtfully: "So, there are other recipes?" Is there anything a little stronger? ”
"Spirits?" Martin confirmed.
Louise tilted her head to look at Martin, "Spirits are enjoyable." ”
"Not necessarily to your taste." Martin changed to a new shaker, poured in the sorghum red he had brought, added the dongting wine and crushed ice, shook evenly, poured into a chilled glass, and then added the fresh orange slices.
He offered Louise, "Welcome to Atlanta." ”
"It's called welcome?" Louise picked up the glass, the wine was mellow, smooth in the mouth, and sweet, and she had never drunk it.
She is an old drunkard, and she can taste the extremely high alcohol content, and after taking a sip, her blue eyes instantly brighten, as if there is water oozing: "The taste is a little strange, but it is a good glass of wine." ”
Martin nodded slightly: "Thank you, it was recognized by the first customer." ”
Louise is very interested in wine: "I am honored to be its first customer. She was addicted to alcohol: "And? ”
Martin, of course, has others, but he doesn't say so: "I've been blending a new wine lately, and I haven't succeeded yet." ”
After the liquor was down, Louise's face remained unchanged: "We can discuss wine when we have time." ”
Martin's brain reacted very quickly: "Every time a new cocktail comes out, you always have to try countless recipes, and it's hard to make it alone, Louise, if you have time, let's try it together." ”
Louise leaned half of her body on the bar, her undulating body twisted into an exaggerated curve, and looked at Martin with interest: "You have a lot of ideas, willing?" ”
Martin understood: "It hasn't worked out yet. ”
He couldn't ignore Kelly and asked, "Listen to Andrew, 'The Man from the City' is playing tonight?" ”
Kelly put down her wine glass: "The second cable station, it's still that time." ”
"Episodes? Movie? Your company's work? Louise, the drunkard, picked up Kelly's wine glass, drained it in one gulp, and frowned: "This is a drink, not like wine." ”
Martin took a bottle of higher strength Macallan whisky and poured it into three new glasses.
Kelly is talking about the movie: "I invested in a late-night movie, and Martin was one of the supporting actors. She suddenly remembered the sample film she had seen: "He did a wonderful job. ”
"Really?" Louise was surprised and asked Martin, "Where did you learn this?" Equal rights, bartending, acting, and the ability to make people know that you are pleasing and still feel comfortable in their hearts is not something that a poor boy in the slum can learn. ”
Not surprised, with his cheekiness and not ashamed, Martin said calmly: "My father, Jack Davis, is the most versatile person in Atlanta. ”
"I haven't heard of it," Kelly said. ”
Louise no longer inquired, but raised her glass: "I am in charge of my life." ”
Martin and Kelly both picked up their glasses, and the three of them clinked their glasses lightly, draining the whiskey.
Louise took the bottle and poured it: "To this wonderful evening." ”
Before the late-night show started, the three of them drank up a bottle of whiskey.
Martin went to get the wine again.
Kelly swayed and walked this way: "No, I can't drink anymore." ”
"How can you be short of good wine on a wonderful night?" Louise grabbed Kelly, and the two female drunkards fell on the couch.
The latter pillowed on the former's chest, soft as if it had fallen into cotton wool, and whispered comfortably: "Where's the remote control?" Let's get started, let you pervert see what a mortar is! ”
Martin brought the wine over and poured it again.
Two female drunkards in their early thirties, plus a 22-year-old male alcoholic, continued to drink.
The late-night show was launched, and soon a circus appeared.
Louise was overjoyed and slapped Kelly's ass vigorously: "You guys are really good at playing, do it right away." What about horses? Bring one here! ”
Kelly grabbed her chest hard, using so much force that her neckline pulled down.
Louise drank and didn't do anything: "What? You B, envy my D? ”
She looked at Martin: "Macho man, you designed the circus?" ”
Martin lay crooked on the single sofa and raised his glass to Louise: "What the director arranges, how do I do it." ”
Kelly really drank too much, leaned into Louise's ear, and said, "The crew said he had a mortar. ”
Louise reached her hand back, and from the inside of the couch, she found a pink kettle, and the spout of the kettle was stuffed into Kelly's mouth, and Kelly opened her mouth to bite the straw, shrugging and sucking hard.
She asked, "I heard you're the prototype?" ”
Martin was prepared: "A little bit of an exaggeration. ”
Louise beckoned: "Come here, come here, it's still early tonight, sit next to me, let's drink slowly." ”
Martin came over with the bottle, and just sat down, two different hands reached out one after the other.
There's nothing special about it and there's no mess, it's just an audition.
…………
The next morning, when Martin woke up, Kelly Gray was getting ready to go out.
She was unremarkable: "I asked for breakfast for you." ”
Martin waved at her, got up from the carpet, and went to open the window: "It smells of wine." ”
Louise took out her personal business card and put it on the coffee table: "When will your new cocktail be commissioned, call me." She glanced at Martin: "If you want to be a star, this is a compulsory course." ”
Martin has drifted for so many years in his previous life, and he has seen too many messy things, and Hollywood will only be more chaotic.
"I don't think so, I guess I'm auditioning for you." He sat on the sofa and said something particularly nice: "Young, sexy, beautiful, and elegant two beauties, in order to get support for the film project, they do not hesitate to feed the pervert." ”
Louise laughed happily, got up and went to the study, and quickly took out a copy of the text and put it together with the business card: "I have the right to make decisions about this little role, take it back and study it carefully, although I passed the audition last night, but Hollywood is not as good as before, and the audition room routine still has to go." ”
She put away her smile and solemnly admonished: "The performance in the audition room is too poor, don't blame me for not being emotional." ”
"I know the weight." Martin put it all away, and said in a different way: "Do you want extras for the crew?" The community troupe I belong to is low-fee, very professional, and able to endure hardships. ”
Louise nodded: "When you audition, you bring the person in charge over." ”
