Chapter 54: Coke Lucky Star
The sun is rising, the temperature is gradually rising, and the actors in the makeshift makeup room are waiting for a long time, restless.
Ward looked at the studio, "Can she do it?" β
Adam Smith unbuttoned his shirt and said, "She's an ambitious person. β
Someone nearby shouted, "Ice Coke is here!" β
The big head who delivers drinks every day pushes a trolley over, and a brand new can of Coke is placed on the table.
The extras all went to get Coke.
Ward took two cans, handed one to Adam Smith, and took a big sip after opening it, which was not ordinarily cool.
The big head reminded: "Don't litter, put the finished cans back in their place." β
The extras are used to it, and this guy takes away the bottles and cans every time.
After drinking the Coke, put the can back.
Robert was wearing gloves and was in his pocket.
Ward and Adam Smith went over, casually put down the jar and left.
Robert put away the other cans first, then took out a new net pocket, and carefully put away the two.
He pushed the cart back and turned to the back of a car.
Bruce was leaning against the car and asked, "Got it?" β
Robert handed over the two cans: "What the hell are you going to do?" β
Bruce said, "Don't worry, I'm civilized. β
Rob nodded, "Don't bother me." β
Bruce pointed to a makeup trailer, "Martin is ready to go into the studio, go ahead." He encouraged Robert: "Don't worry, I'm covering you in the back, dozens of brothers are coming outside the set, and they will rush in with a phone call." β
Robert went to the food truck, brought a new Coke, grabbed an empty can, and followed Martin into the studio.
β¦β¦β¦β¦
The crew began filming, and Martin had his last scene today, leaving the rest and entering the set.
On the small round table next to his chair was an empty can.
As in the previous days, Rosa enthusiastically helped Martin pack up her useless things, took the cans, and walked towards the outside of the set.
Robert, who was carrying a net bag, was wearing gloves to clean up the garbage in the rest area, he took out his mobile phone and dialed it with one button, and when the bell rang over there, he hung up the phone again.
The shoot went well, but in a few minutes, Martin returned to his resting area.
Robert came up behind him and whispered, "She took it." β
Martin wondered: "Whose is that?" β
Robert said, "Some extra's." β
Martin asked again, "She didn't do anything else?" β
"Nope." Robert kept staring: "Only the cans were taken." β
Martin exclaimed, "Man, you're my Coke Lucky Star." β
Robert muttered, "I'm with you, luck falls on you, and it's all me who is unlucky." β
Martin smiled: "Peace of mind, people can't be unlucky forever." β
On the other side, Rosa came out of the studio and saw Adam Smith, who was handed over in a can in a paper bag: "Don't forget your promise." β
"You wait for the good news." Adam Smith quickly departed to meet Ward in a secluded spot.
The latter put on gloves, carefully opened the upper part of the can and stuffed the plastic bag inside: "All the good things we brought, give them to him!" β
Adam Smith laughs: "With the stolen goods and his biological samples on the packaging, I can imagine what happened to him." β
Ward packed up and headed for the parking lot.
Adam Smith deliberately distanced himself from him, looking around as he went.
In a car in the parking lot, Bruce took in the view and frowned: "Martin, that stinky shit, entered this industry, how to be a civilized person?" β
He realized that something was wrong: "Stinky shit is a perfect match for this rotten industry!" β
Not long after, the two men came out of the parking lot and returned to the set to work.
Bruce circled the parking lot, making sure no one was watching, and quickly entered the parking lot, while pulling out his cell phone and calling Robert and Andrew respectively, from which he asked about Adam Smith's car.
The rest couldn't have been easier for him, a man who had been a scavenger.
β¦β¦β¦β¦
At the end of today's work, Martin got out of the makeup trailer and walked towards the parking lot.
He dialed Bruce again: "Old Bu, how is the situation now?" β
Bruce had been staring at the parking lot so that nothing could happen and said, "No problem. β
"I'm a civilized man, a good citizen of Atlanta, a special certificate of honor from the Women's Association, a fighter for equality, and I won't allow evil to happen right in front of my eyes," Martin said. Lao Bu, you must report them, we are inseparable from evil! β
Bruce wanted to give the middle finger, but the person was not in front of him: "I have already reported it, and I will provide accurate clues immediately." He glanced at the tag and small video camera Robert had sent and asked, "Why did you ask me to dress up as a reporter?" β
Martin said, "I can't trust a son of a bitch." β
Bruce asked, "You didn't have a gun, did you?" β
"No," Martin said. β
"When the time comes, cooperate with the son of a bitch, as long as you park, I will go over as soon as possible." Bruce told the truth: "You're not black, you're not Mexican, you don't overdo it, you can't use a gun." β
Martin got into the Ford: "If I were hell black, I would never do it." β
Bruce said, "They're following you." β
The Ford pulled out of the parking lot, followed by a black Mercedes SUV.
In the car, Ward had just finished making a phone call: "I called 911, a big can of goods, this is a great credit, the patrol police in the neighborhood will definitely come over to deal with people who have no money and no power, they can find a hundred legitimate reasons." β
Adam Smith asked, "One storm is enough to finish him." β
Ward nodded: "Women would never want to get involved in this kind of. β
Bruce followed behind the Mercedes-Benz SUV, flipped through a number from the address book, and dialed: "Lynch, the clue I told you before has been confirmed." β
"I applied for an urgent search warrant, and if not, I'll kill you."
"I won't die if you die." Bruce made a long story short: "The two sand sculptures are carrying a lot of cargo, as if it were some kind of new cargo, and it shouldn't be your DEA informant." β
Lynch didn't dwell on the so-called "DEA informant" and asked, "You won't hurt me?" β
Bruce said: "When we fought the British together, I fought against all the charges. β
Lynch asked, "Where?" β
Bruce answered, and hung up.
The three cars were mixed in with the traffic and drove all the way northwest, and it didn't take long for an APD patrol car to chase after it with flashing lights, and turned on the lights behind the Ford to ask for a stop.
Martin was very cooperative and immediately parked on the side of the road.
At the same time, Bruce stepped on the accelerator, overtook the Mercedes SUV, parked behind the patrol car, turned on the camera and got out of the car and ran forward.
Two APDs got off the patrol car, one of whom groped the rear of the Ford with his hand on the side of the holster and shouted at Martin to get out of the car for inspection, citing dangerous driving as an excuse.
Martin fully complied with the requirements of the APD and got out of the car with his hands raised.
One APD checked, making sure Martin had no weapons on him, and the other spotted Bruce, pointing at him and shouting, "What for?" β
Bruce picked up the tag on his chest: "Reporter, I have the right to shoot!" β
It is not uncommon for reporters to follow APD to shoot, and the two APDs have converged, after all, the owner is not an old black.
One of them controlled Martin, and the other searched the car.
The Mercedes SUV was parked behind the Bruce car, and Ward and Adam Smith could see it clearly.
Adam Smith didn't have much joy, and said lightly: "It's a very simple thing, easy to do." β
Ward said: "Can he afford an expensive bail? β
Adam Smith pointed, "See?" There are reporters, and soon there will be news, and there is no way that Gray will take the risk of using him. β
Ward was curious: "The reporter appeared so quickly, who called it?"
Adam Smith also found it strange.
At this moment, three black Chevrolet SUVs drove up the road, and the three cars turned almost at the same time, blocking the Mercedes-Benz SUV from the front and rear sides.
The Chevrolet door slammed, and the brawny men in DEA uniforms quickly got out of the car, shotguns and automatic rifles in their hands, all pointing at Ward and Adam Smith in the car.
βDEAοΌ Let me see your hands! β
More than a dozen black holes were pointed at the muzzles, and Ward and Adam Smith didn't even dare to move.
The DEA showed a search warrant, and the action was simple and rude, opening the car door and forcibly pulling the two people out of the car.
Adam Smith felt that there must be a misunderstanding inside, and quickly explained: "You guys are mistaken, right? We're not ......."
Before he could finish speaking, a strong man turned his shotgun and smashed the butt of a rifle into his shoulder.
Adam Smith fell, and before he could get up, the strong man's knee pressed against him.
Ward held his head in his hands and squatted down obediently.
The reason why the strong man had no scruples was because the companion who searched the car gave him a thumbs up.
DEA searched for what it was looking for.
Justice is done, and evil is punished.
