Chapter 9: The Land of Desecration
Luo Mo was worried, and on the surface, he quietly accompanied Shelley all the way forward.
The estates of the nobles were private domains, and unless they had committed treason or other serious crimes, Lomo could have refused Shelley access to the domain.
But if he does this, it will make Shelley suspicious, and when the time comes, it will be troublesome for the high-level leaders of Sanchuan Fort to target him.
So Lomo decided to take a risk, after all, this was a low-level priest, and he was at the same level as himself, so he was not completely unable to deal with it.
The town of Crowe is to the south of the manor, and the place where the corpse is picked up is to the north of the manor. Originally, he was to enter the manor through the main entrance to the south of the manor, which was the closest to the castle, but Lomo entered the manor with the back door on the north side that Shelley detoured about.
Although the manor is not big, it has more than 100 acres of land, and Shelley has worked hard all the way.
He looked at the scenery around him and casually asked, "Are you the only manor in the vicinity?" ”
"Nope." Lomo shook his head and said, "To the north and west is the territory of Viscount Klein, and to the east is the territory of Baron Ruituo. ”
"The neighbors are okay, aren't they?" Shelley asked with a smile.
Lomo immediately understood that this priest was probably the legendary nerd who never knew about the suffering of the people.
How can the neighbors of the aristocratic realm get along well?
"It's very easy to get along with, my Salding Manor originally had more than 600 acres of land, but now there are only more than 100 acres left." Luo Mo said lightly.
When Shelley heard this, he was stunned for a moment, and his face immediately showed an embarrassed look, and he said a little angrily: "Why didn't Lord Sir report it to the royal court." ”
"Young pastor, some things are not so simple." Luo Mo said angrily: "The royal court wants us nobles to fight indiscriminately. ”
At this point, it's a bit out of line. Shelley did not dare to answer, but felt a trace of pity for this nobleman in his heart.
The territory has been continuously eroded, and the tenants and servants in the manor have been killed by a necromancer.
The two fell into a brief silence and walked for more than half an hour, finally arriving at the north gate of Saldin's manor.
After entering the north gate, Luo Mo immediately pointed to the small dense forest on the east side and said, "That is the place where the necromancer committed murder and raised the corpse, why don't you go there and take a look first?" ”
"There's no hurry." Shelley shook his head and said, "It's better to go to the castle Mercado's residence first." ”
"Okay." Lomo nodded.
He deliberately took two steps behind, pinched the thumb and middle finger of his right hand together, opened his lips slightly, and silently uttered a trick.
There was no movement around him, but he knew that something had changed in the forest.
There is still a large amount of Mercado's necromantic power left, which will resonate with a small spell cast by himself.
Sure enough, Shelley took a few steps and suddenly noticed that something was wrong, and immediately looked in the direction of the small jungle.
"There's going on there." Shelley frowned slightly.
"Let's go to the castle first." Lomo suggested.
Shelley ignored Lomo, his expression became very solemn, and he walked slowly towards the small forest.
The two of them walked one after the other, and before they reached the small dense forest, they saw two zombies staggering out of the forest.
The two zombies looked almost human, their eyes were spitting out, the skin on their faces was peeling off, their noses and mouths were twisted together, and one of the zombie's eyeballs even fell out, hanging there with only two nerves, flicking on their faces as they moved slowly.
They were covered in dirt, apparently just crawling out of it.
"The power of the dead is still not dissipated? How powerful is this Mercado? ”
Shelley was taken aback, he immediately turned around, pressed Lomo's shoulder, stopped him from advancing, and said in a deep voice, "Jazz Master, this place is about to become dangerous, you may have to leave for a while." ”
"Okay, I'll wait for you at the castle!" Lomo looked panicked, dropped the words, and fled in the direction of the castle.
"Don't go near Mercado's residence." Shelley exhorted.
"Got it!"
Lomo replied as he ran wildly, and soon returned to the castle.
He immediately walked to the east side of the third floor, where Mercado lived.
It was still the same room as before, he opened the door with force, and the smell of Pips's charred corpse did not dissipate, and it came to his face all at once.
He walked to the bookshelf with bated breath, quickly picked out some books on magic, picked up the shroud in the corner, wrapped it, and carried it out of the room.
Books are very heavy, and Lomo, as a necromancer, is not a strong man, so he can only pick up some clothes.
He quickly transported the books to the second-floor bedroom, where he looked northeast through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room.
There, Shelley is fighting with two zombies. Obviously, this priest has no actual combat experience, and although he has hit the zombie many times with magic, he has not been able to defeat the zombie for the time being.
In this case, Lomo went to the third floor again. This time, he chose to pick up some books on social sciences and the field aspect.
After doing this, Lomo ran to the floor-to-ceiling window again to check, only to see Shelley holding his hands on his knees, panting, apparently killing the two zombies with a lot of effort.
And all around him, there were some mutilated flesh and blood corpses, and it was clear that Shelley had dismantled them to pieces.
'The destructive power of the low-ranking priest is still okay. Lomo thought to himself.
Seeing Shelley stand up, he turned and walked this way. Lomo then ran downstairs and walked in the direction of Shelley.
"Reverend, how's it going?" Lomo greeted Shelley with a worried look on his face.
"That forest has become a place of desecration, otherwise there would be no zombies alive. I don't have the power to purify that land. Shelley said with some frustration.
"What then?" Lomo had a look of regret on his face.
"Take me to Mercado's residence first. His forbidden items and the necromantic power that remained in the castle must be cleared first, for your health's sake. Shelley said in a deep voice.
"Pastor Shelley, thank you so much." Luo Mo said sincerely.
Next, Lomo waited under the castle and watched Shelley go up to the third floor alone.
He waited for more than an hour to see Shelley come down from the third floor with a pale face.
Lomo saw Shelley's tired expression, and admired his professionalism.
"Is there a flatbed at the manor?" Shelley asked.
"Of course." Lomo nodded.
Shelley sat down on the steps and took a few breaths before saying, "I have purified the necromantic power in the castle, and I will use a flatbed cart to pull out the evil things of those necromancers, and then burn them all." ”
"Thank you so much, why don't I help." Lomo said.
"No, you don't." Shelley waved his hand and said solemnly: "These things may have rotting corpse poison or corpse qi. I'll just come. ”
Lomo saw Shelley's serious and responsible expression and thanked him again.
"You don't need to thank me, my ability is limited, that dense forest has not helped you clean it up thoroughly, in the past few years, I am afraid that your manor will no longer be able to live in, and you must wait for the power of the necromancy of that desecrated place to dissipate." Shelley said apologetically.
Luo Mo breathed a sigh of relief and comforted with a smile: "At least during this time, the neighbors around me don't dare to fight the idea of my territory anymore." ”
When Shelley heard this, he said with admiration on his face: "You can still laugh when the manor is like this, you are the most optimistic person I have ever met." It is advisable to mothball the estate and move out as soon as possible. I will also give the report to the town of Crow and ask the mayor to announce to the nearby residents that they are not allowed to walk around Saldin Manor for the sake of safety. ”
With that, he got up and got back to work.
It wasn't until nightfall that the Reverend Shelley set up a flatbed cart and drove away from Saldin Manor with Mercado's forbidden belongings.
