Chapter 55: Karkaroff

It's April, and the violet season has arrived, and the bright purple five-pointed star-shaped flowers are waving in the wind, bringing a rich and tangy fragrance.

But none of the people present were in the mood to enjoy the sight.

"This is my student." Professor Carlo walked up to the man. "I'm willing to bring him here, I trust him, it's as simple as that. Malfoy, I thought, bring whoever belongs to me to freedom. โ€

Professor Caro's dark top made Malfoy's face more and more displeased: "Mr. Caro, you should know what we are doing. A student who popped up out of nowhere? โ€

"If news of today's gathering reaches Dumbledore's ears, the Caro family is willing to take all the responsibility." Professor Carlo sneered and looked at the group behind Malfoy, "It's you ยทยทยทยทยทยท instead."

Professor Caro didn't continue, just stared at the man behind Malfoy.

His words were self-explanatory, and the people around Ma Erfu quickly stood up: "Reinos, when it comes to disloyalty, none of us can compare to you and the one behind you. โ€

This was undoubtedly Professor Carlo's sore spot, and his face immediately sank.

"That's enough." Malfoy stopped a possible conflict between the two sides, "We're not here to quarrel about the past, but to achieve our goals. โ€

He looked at Professor Caro: "Mr. Caro, just like we talked on Christmas night, we have to look forward now, we don't have much time, and our opportunities are precious. โ€

The warm spring breeze blew through the crowd, and the rich fragrance of flowers came to the wind again, and Professor Carlo seemed to be infected by this brilliant spring light, and did not continue to entangle with the man.

He walked to the middle of the crowd with Karl, as well as Karkaroff.

The crowd dispersed into an open space and consciously formed a circle, encircling the nervous Karkarov, the serious Professor Karlo, and the silent Karl in the center.

Malfoy stepped out of the crowd and walked directly in front of Karkaroff to make eye contact with him.

"Now, let's get to the first thing. I, the twenty-seventh patriarch of the Caro family, Renos Carlo, am willing to be a witness to Karkaroff's dealings with you, as well as a guarantor. โ€

Professor Carlo stretched out his wand, and a golden flame erupted from the tip of his wand, and with the blessing of a mysterious force, the flame split into two, like two thin, long wires.

Karkaroff took a deep breath, walked over to the tiny flame, and stretched out his little thumb.

The flames seemed to feel something, and immediately spiraled around his little finger.

Karkaroff and Professor Carlo looked at Malfoy, who had not yet moved.

"The conditions have been modified." "You don't go abroad for three years, you go abroad," Malfoy said slowly. โ€

"Five years?!" Karkaroff screamed, "I'm going to spend five years in that icy place? No! Malfoy, no! Don't deceive too much! โ€

He was about to cut through the flames when a female voice suddenly came from the crowd.

A female voice with crying and hatred, extremely vicious, and at the same time extremely sad.

"Evan is dead, dead in Azkaban, Karkaroff, the heirs of the Foley family, the glorious Holy Twenty-Eight will erase a name, Karkaroff, I want you to die! Instead of just being out there for two more years! โ€

Karl had long noticed the old woman with the black scarf, and now when he saw her crying with her face covered, his heart was also filled with indescribable sadness.

Next to her, people who had been mentally prepared were comforting him.

Karkaroff didn't show the slightest sympathy, as did Malfoy across from him.

"That's it." "At the request of a poor old woman, we decided to add two more years. โ€

Karkarov shook his head firmly: "This can't be. If so, I'd rather go to Crouch again, I think he'll be interested in you. โ€

"And then? Will it be used up as a snot paper and throw it away? Malfoy asked unceremoniously. Karkarov, don't go around the bend! Say what you want. โ€

"Moody." The fear and hatred on Karkaroff's face flashed, and he gritted his teeth and said.

"Of course, after we succeed, we will not let go of the golden thug under Old Barty." Malfoy sneered, "Everyone was choked by him." โ€

"What are you going to do?" Karkaroff asked.

"Purebloods have rules for doing things as purebloods, Karkaroff." Malfoy complained, "Even if your family is ruined, doesn't there anyone in your family teach you this?" โ€

"I'm not on the same path as you, Malfoy." Karkaroff sneered and raised his wand in his hand, "Don't say anything, Malfoy, you don't believe that, I only believe in this." โ€

Malfoy let out a long breath and forced his dissatisfaction down: "Crouch will go to other positions for a few years, and the Ministry of Magic will also need to open its doors and bring in some fresh air, so Moody will take a back seat to bring in new people, and then retire directly." โ€

"It's too cheap for him." "My request is simple, if you can do it, then I am willing to sign this contract with you," Karkarov said. Otherwise, I'd rather go back to Crouch, who I'm sure will need now. โ€

Malfoy held out his hand and motioned for Karkaroff to speak.

"I want to taste it, and I want Moody's to taste it again when he retires." Karkaroff said fiercely, "He's worth it, I'll see if he's a madman who gets even crazier in such an environment!" โ€

Malfoy didn't immediately answer, he walked out into the crowd once more and spoke softly to some of them for a moment.

They seemed to erupt into a heated argument, and Carl could only hear a buzz that seemed to be a magic masking the content of their conversation.

It took a long time for Malfoy to walk out with a calm face.

"Agreed. We'll take care of it. โ€

He walked up to the flames, followed Karkaroff's example, and held out his little thumb.

The two flames erupted in a dazzling light in an instant, and then turned into a chain of brass that connected the two of them.

"So, I reiterate our demands again." Professor Carlo said solemnly. "Karkaroff will make atonement for his sins by reaching a settlement with all the families present and voluntarily being exiled from the country for five years. And all the families must not seek revenge in the future, all hatred is understood at this moment, and Kakarov's last request must be fulfilled. โ€

Malfoy looked at Karkaroff: "I agree on behalf of all the families present, and vouch for the glory of the Malfoy family. โ€

"I agree."

"Then, the contract is established."

Once again, the golden brass chain turned into a twisted two-headed fiery serpent, which left a bite mark on the little fingers of both men, and then disappeared without a trace with a pop.

Karkaroff looked intently at his pinky finger, and Karl felt a tear slip through the corner of Karkaroff's eye.

"I'm leaving now." Karkaroff looked at Professor Carlo, "Thank you, Renos, for your kindness that I will keep in mind. โ€

He bowed to Professor Caro, and before he could speak, he vanished without a trace.

Professor Caro looked at Malfoy: "Now that I've fulfilled my promise, Crouch's ears have been taken care of by me, and it's up to you next, I hope your candidate will be stronger, but there are not many days left." โ€

"You've been a great help, Mr. Carlo, and your wisdom has always reassured everyone, but we're not bad." Malfoy smiled, "The wind is already blowing, don't you smell the intoxicating scent of flowers?" โ€
