Chapter 81: Second Conversation with Professor Caro

In the Defence Against the Dark Arts office, Carl and Professor Carlo sit opposite each other at their desks.

Perhaps to gain trust, Professor Carlo placed his wand in the most prominent position.

"Carl, dear Carl." He clutched at his gray hair with a look of distress. "You always surprise me."

"It was an accident." Carl, who had planned everything for a long time, preemptively said, "I'm curious, though, Professor Carlo. ”

He deliberately spoke slowly, as if everything was under his control.

"Professor, what are you trying to do with Quirrell?"

"Carl, too much curiosity will kill you." Professor Carlo said coldly, "I don't want to hurt you, Carl. ”

After touching Professor Caro's nails, which were neither soft nor hard, Carl only smiled.

It was a topic he provoked, but he didn't want to dwell too much on it.

He didn't know exactly how much Quirrell had said, but he knew he should have said less so that Quirrell would be in a better place.

"So, Professor, I wonder why I'm here." Karl gets straight to the point. "You get it."

Professor Caro fell silent.

Both sides know this.

Karl continued, "Dumbledore spoke to me once before, you know. ”

Professor Carlo listened silently.

"He told me not to get too close to you." Carr revealed his conversation with Dumbledore to Professor Carlo without any psychological burden.

This can greatly increase the level of trust that Professor Carlo has in what he is going to say.

Professor Carlo nodded, as if this did not surprise him, and he sneered, "Dumbledore is always like this. ”

Karl didn't know what Professor Carlo meant by "always", but he knew that Professor Carlo was just as unhappy with Dumbledore.

That's enough.

"Sir." He replaced it with a more intimate title, "Actually, I don't approve of Dumbledore's idea either. You are a good professor. ”

Carr's praise did not please Professor Carlo in the slightest, and he listened quietly.

"You have your own ideas, but it's nothing, who in this world wouldn't have their own ideas?" "Actually, I have my own ideas. ”

Professor Carlo agreed, "I can see, Carl, from the first time you came to me, I knew you were different from other children. ”

"Yes, sir. So I didn't inform Headmaster Dumbledore, even though I had the idea at first, but I soon realized. ”

Professor Caro smiled, "Dumbledore can't give you what you want. ”

"I don't know, sir. Dumbledore was the greatest wizard in the world, and I read all of his published sources and learned a lot from them. ”

"But that's not enough, is it?"

Karl agreed: "Not enough, sir. Children always grow faster than their parents expect, don't they? ”

Dumbledore's letting go of him was gradual, and last year he didn't want Carl to learn too much about magic, but this year he had openly agreed to Carl to learn more about magic.

By all indications, Karl believed that Dumbledore was not an ordinary wizard who regarded dark magic as a beast, but that he simply had his own educational plan for his students.

Unfortunately, that wasn't Carl's plan.

This is his second year at Hogwarts, and next year Harry Potter will be enrolled, and Carl doesn't know when Voldemort will return, but he knows that time is running out.

"Actually, you've grown beyond anyone expected, kid." Professor Carlo's tone was more gentle.

"As far back as I can remember, the last such kid was the Dark Lord. Phantom Spell? This magic is not something that a student of your age can master. ”

"But that's not enough, sir." Karl feigned grievance and said, "You don't want to teach me more, sir. I know why, is it because I didn't go to your banquet that day? ”

"No, it's not such a childish thing." Karl's childish speech made Professor Carlo laugh, "It's just, you know, I plan to let Quirrell teach you next year, it's too early for you to learn the Dark Charms. ”

Carl didn't expose Professor Carlo's lies, he reached out two slender fingers and pinched his wand.

The familiar purple wand made Professor Carlo squint.

Sensing Professor Caro's nervousness, Carl smiled instead.

"Don't be nervous, sir. I just wanted to show a little bit of what I had done. ”

He raised his wand and whispered a long-prepared incantation to the couch in the distance.

"Broken bones!"

The composure on Professor Caro's face was shattered, and he looked at Carl with a look of surprise.

In the blink of an eye, the sofa was blown apart, and the cotton wool and goose feathers inside fluttered in the air, as if it were under a white snow.

Professor Carlo stood up, took out his wand and waved it lightly, but there was no movement.

"The general recovery is useless, is it really a crushing spell?" Carl's performance surprised Professor Carlo again, "Where did you learn that?" Forbidden book zone? ”

He waved his wand again, this time with much better effect, and the snowflakes drifting in the sky gradually gathered together.

The Crushing Charm is not an unforgivable spell, but it is one of the most common forms of dark magic used by wizards because of its destructive effects - both on people and objects.

It is precisely because of its power that neither the Ministry of Magic nor the daily teaching of Hogwarts will incorporate this spell into the normal scope of teaching.

Naturally, there are no textbooks in the Hogwarts library, and only older students have access to the spell through the forbidden area.

But in the blink of an eye, Professor Caro denied his suspicions, and he lowered his wand and sat down again.

"No way, if you find this spell from the Forbidden Book Zone, there's no way Dumbledore will agree to you and me continuing to learn."

Theory and practice always complement each other, and without Professor Caro's teachings, Carl would not have been confident in mastering those dark spells with just a few broken books.

"Thank you, Professor." Carl said sincerely, "I have benefited a lot from your teachings, and of course I have tried to find some ways. As I said before, children always grow faster than their parents think. ”

Professor Carlo closed his eyes, knowing that his previous plan was no longer successful.

"Tell me about it, kid." He opened his eyes a little tiredly. "What do you want?"

"I want a lot." "But it doesn't matter, I think I can always find a way." ”

"So why are you sitting here?"

"I need some knowledge, something advanced, it's hard to find." Karl said seriously.

"It's about death, it's about power."
