Chapter 105: Duel
Compared to the bustling Quidditch pitch, the Forbidden Forest is exceptionally quiet today.
The dense woods shade the scorching sun, and the warm spring breeze seems to have no chance of being part of this magical jungle, and here, everything seems to have come to a standstill.
Dead silence is the eternal theme of the Forbidden Forest.
Karl walked along the trail on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, unaffected by the environment, on the contrary, his heart was full of anticipation and joy.
Both the possible outcome of the Hattings and the coming duel.
If it hadn't been for Flitwick's series of lessons to pique Carl's interest, Carl would have intended to make the duel unresolved.
Since he didn't plan to use black magic, he just wanted to teach him a good lesson, so why use a duel as a scheme?
In his opinion, he can spell the illusion and have a living map, and engaging in a sneak attack is a more suitable revenge for him.
Even Alexis's ending, he had already thought it out.
On the second floor, there was an abandoned women's bathroom, where there was a ghost that annoyed everyone, and Carl thought that the toilet in that place must be a good fit for Alexis.
But Flitwick's curriculum changed all that.
Flitwick's teachings made Carl want to try.
Like a kid with a new game, Carl was eager to play what Flitwick called the exciting game.
Alexis, according to Charlie's information, this love-obsessed student is not the best Slytherin, whether it is the opinion of Charlie and others, or his past achievements, it shows that this is only excellent at best.
A large number of such graduates appear at Hogwarts every year, and the challenge as this "new game" is undoubtedly enough.
In Carl's opinion, Alexis has only two advantages over himself.
First of all, he is older and may be a little stronger in terms of magical powers. Second, Alexis has more experience in dueling, after all, when he clashed with Gryffindor, he was not less involved, and there were still a few years of course training.
But that's about it.
Judging by Professor Carlo, Professor Quirrell, Professor Flitwick, and Carl's own assessment, he should not be much worse.
Moreover, Karl really doesn't care about the outcome of this duel, it's best if he wins, and if he losesΒ·Β·Β·Β·Β·Β·
He, Carl, is not a great hero, so why not find an opportunity to double his revenge later?
With the Transfiguration Charm and all that dark magic, Carl didn't think Alexis could really hurt himself.
At the entrance to the Forbidden Forest, in front of the Silent Forest, Alexis was standing.
He was dressed in a Slytherin robe, and looked at Carl with a grim expression.
"Carl Turinus, I didn't expect that." He said, "I didn't expect you to actually invite me. β
His tone was quite calm, not even his previous disgust.
"Am I a coward?" Carl asked rhetorically.
"A Gryffindor hiding under someone else's shelter?" Alexis laughed instead, "Isn't Muggle 'coward' used to describe such a person?" β
Carl unconsciously clenched his fists.
If this was what Flitwick called "psychological warfare," Carl had to admit that Alexis had succeeded.
"Still, good, good, you're not what I thought you were." Alexis said, "I thought you'd be hiding under the wings of those Gryffindor bastards until I graduated and left. β
He squinted his eyes and looked around, as if looking for something, "Or maybe gather some friends to sneak up on me with that damn illusion spell." β
Karl scoffed, "I'm not a despicable Slytherin. β
Facing Alexis, he wouldn't admit that he did have similar thoughts.
"Slytherin isn't despicable, only a stupid Gryffindor would think so." Alexis retorted, "But it doesn't matter, it's all over here." β
Instead of dueling here, they walked side by side into the Forbidden Forest at a distance, and Carl took him to the place where Fred and the others had played before.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of Fred and George and others (wolftooth darts to be exact), a large clearing had been cleared, and the verdant flat grass was just right for the duel that was about to begin.
Alexis looked at the clearing in front of him and sneered, "Good place, so have you learned the etiquette of dueling?" Do you need me to teach you? β
This time, Carl decided not to bother, and magic was undoubtedly the better fight back.
The two of them turned to distance themselves for a moment, then turned to face each other and bowed, a quick bow, and it was clear that both were impatient with this step.
In the next second, the two men raised their wands in unison, like arrows.
Further down, you should count "1-2-3-"
But they apparently thought of a piece.
"Except for your weapons!" ("Faint!") Carl (Alexis) shouted in unison.
Two red rays of light collided violently, and a strong air current flew from the center to all sides, bringing up a cloud of dust in the sky.
Carl narrowed his eyes and flashed quickly.
According to Professor Flitwick's teachings, the first thing to do at this time should be to dodge.
The wand in his hand seemed to feel the intensity of the scene, becoming colder and colder, and Carl gripped it, his mind recalling Professor Flitwick's teachings.
Shout~!
Sure enough, a faint yellow light suddenly flew out from the dust, leaving a clear mark on his original location.
"Despicable Slytherin!" Carl cursed, waved his wand, and recited the incantation.
A whirlwind shot out from the tip of the wand, and in the blink of an eye, there was a gust of wind that shouldn't have been there in the field, and these winds not only quickly cleaned up the dust, but Carl swung it hard, and the hurricane mixed with dust was blown towards Alexis.
This is a hurricane spell, a type of weather spell, which has no power, but its own strong wind can be very good at restricting the opponent's movements.
Alexis snorted coldly: "Each other, each other! β
He waved his wand again: "Flying sand and stones!" β
Bang!
A blue light once again blasted a huge hole in the ground in front of Carl, and the violent shockwave hit the colorless shield that emerged in front of Carl, and the huge force forced Carl to take a few steps back.
As he retreated, the hurricane on the scene gradually dissipated.
Awesome tips!
Although the scene was a little unfavorable, Carl not only did not feel the slightest fear, but became more and more excited.
He immediately understood Alexis' thoughts: the Iron Armor Charm could offset and even reflect the spell well, but it was not so good at protecting entities.
Alexis deliberately hit the spell in front of him, and the method of using the environment to hit himself is worth learning.
Karl adjusted his position at his feet and waved his wand: "The trees are flying!" β
A small tree suddenly rose from the ground, like a sharp arrow slamming into Alexis.
Alexis laughed.
"Great magic." He seemed to have anticipated Karl's spell, and with a flick of his wand, the little tree immediately stopped in the air, motionless.
"But it's not enough!"
As the words fell from his mouth, the little tree turned into a sharp spear under the influence of powerful magic, and stabbed at Karl without the slightest pause.
The galloping spear was extremely fast, crossing the distance between the two in the blink of an eye.
You could die!
Fear flashed through Carl's mind, and even more excitement welled up in his chest.
It was a thrill that Carl had never experienced before, the joy of dancing between life and death.
The wand in his hand seemed to sense his master's mood as well, and began to tremble slightly.
The weeds on the ground suddenly grew violently, turning into a huge shield in the blink of an eye.
"Transfiguration?! Inadequate! Alexis shouted, "Die, Karl! β
Sure enough, the spear at high speed had a stronger momentum, and the shield only blocked for a moment.
But a moment is enough.
Airplanes~~~~!
The spear plunged into the ground, the trills of metal echoing between the two men.
Looking at Carl, who was lying on the ground with a gray face, Alexis raised his eyebrows and sneered:
"That's the way you should be, Mudblood!"
