The Yangong Temple Resistance Battle was originally organized by Yang Tinghui. Yang Tinghui received information that the Nakamura Wing of the Japanese Army planned to carry out a "sweep" in the middle of this month in the vicinity of Yangong Temple, Jiepaishi, Xianghongdian, and Yingjiachang in the Bump Mountain area. Yang Tinghui then sent someone to contact Liu Hanying and asked for cooperation in the battle.

The enemy situation was conclusive, and the Eighth Route Army took the initiative to shoulder the heavy burden, Liu Hanying felt that it was a little unreasonable for him not to participate in this battle, so he chose the left road and ambushed at Yangong Temple.

The reason why he chose the left side instead of the right side is that Liu Hanying has his own shrewd considerations. According to the spy reports he got from the other line, most of the enemies on the left were the "Imperial Cooperative Army", which was naturally much easier to deal with than the Japanese devils.

When the troops were deployed, Chief of Staff Zuo Wenlu placed the new 79th Regiment, which had just been formed less than three months ago, in the archway, and placed the 246th Regiment of Zhang Jiayu, which was fully organized, in Saishiji, northeast of Yangongmiao.

Since this is the case, the battalion and company commanders naturally did not dare to be ambiguous, and they all did a good job of explaining the aftermath and preparing to sacrifice their heads in front of the battle.

Due to the tight front, Chen Mohan, who had already reached the second company by this time, offered Shi Yunbiao permission to make a plan and commanded a platoon to feign defeat and retreat, tear a gap, lure the enemy deep into the first line of Tianyukou, and attack it together, dividing and encircling the Yoshino Brigade, which had penetrated deep into the depth of Liu Hanying's defense area, in dozens of mountains, forests and ravines that were inconvenient to deploy.
