Unexpectedly, after walking four miles, a big river in front blocked the way, the name of this river was called Bole River, it was a rising water, due to the lack of boats, the Tang army could not cross the river, so Gao Xianzhi on the one hand killed cattle and sheep to sacrifice to the river god, on the other hand, sent scouts to find out whether there is a shallow and narrow place of the river or a suitable place to cross the river.

After a while, the scouts returned, and three miles upstream, there was a shoal and the river was not very wide, and the army could cross it. Gao Xianzhi was overjoyed, and ordered the whole army to rush to the upper reaches and quickly cross the river.

The army crossed the river smoothly from the shallows, and Gao Xianzhi ordered the whole army to bring only three days of dry rations, wrapped the Mingguang armor in felt cloth to prevent the reflection from leaking and hiding, and placed the battle armor, protective gear and iron and copper items on the baggage wagon, and the whole army went into battle lightly.

Gao Xianzhi said to the whole army: "God bless the Tang Dynasty, if the enemy comes to attack when I am halfway crossing, then our army will be defeated. ｣

Fifteen miles south of Lianyun Fort, there is a camp called Lianyun Village, where more than 9,000 Tubo soldiers are stationed, and this is where the main force of Tubo is.

If Lianyunbao is attacked first, Lianyunzhai can still send troops to support, and it will be a tug-of-war.
