Chapter 27: The Voice of the Serpent

Harley held her book and quickly walked towards Gryffindor's bedroom.

Although he has a good relationship with Filch, and his "confinement" with Professor Snape has been reported, he will not be demerit if he is caught.

But now is curfew time after all. In order not to cause too much trouble, Harley subconsciously turned on her stealth ability.

As she passed by the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor's office on the third floor, Harley also heard Professor Lockhart's cheers through the hidden door:

"At the top of the bestseller list for six months in a row! What an unprecedented record! Everyone, let's raise a glass and drink! ”

This was followed by a number of voices with the same voice as Professor Lockhart's, presumably chatting with his photos.

In a way, Professor Lockhart is a wonderful man!

Harley didn't linger too long and continued to walk forward.

Suddenly, she heard a voice, a voice completely different from Professor Lockhart's cheers.

The voice was creepy, breathless, and every word was vicious and cold:

"Come on...... Come here...... Let me tear you up...... Tear you apart...... Kill you......"

As the sound sounded, there was a subtle sound of scaly Mosuo stones.

Harry's reaction was extremely fast, and the wand and knife slid directly into her hand, and the whole person stuck to the wall away from the sound, so as to avoid being attacked on her back.

But to her surprise, the voice didn't sound again for a long time.

Hallie was silent for a long time. She could be sure that the voice from earlier was snake talking.

Harley discovered early on that she had a talent for snake language, having had it since she was an Assassin.

And this is not normal, because although the witch also has the snake language, it will at least wait until the demigod level and have the mythical creature form related to snake creatures to master this ability.

Of course, Hallie never mentioned this to anyone, only that she was gifted in the witch path.

Later, after stripping off the fragment of his soul that originated from Voldemort, Harley noticed that his snake and talent had suddenly weakened, and he also realized that the abnormal snake language talent in his middle and low sequences came from Voldemort.

"It was a snake that spoke just now, and it was a snake that was not weak." Hallie silently pondered in her heart,

"The sound itself can be a sense of intimidation and a certain degree of mental inflection, at least at the mid-sequence level.

There is murderous intent in the words, which is normal, after all, it is a cold-blooded animal.

But why is there such a snake in Hogwarts? And I perceive almost nothing but its sound. ”

Harley pondered silently for a few minutes before walking silently to the dormitory.

……

The rest of the road was unobstructed, and nothing was obstructed.

Only Peeves, the ghost who doesn't interfere with Harley's well water, sings in a suit of armor.

Harley could probably guess by now that Professor Snape had specifically asked Barrow the Bloody to warn Peeves not to bother him.

All the way back to the dormitory, there was almost no one in the Gryffindor common room.

Harley didn't stop and walked straight into her room.

The door of the tent on Lavender's bed was tightly closed, while the tent on Parvati's bed was open.

Judging by the occasional laughter from Lavender's bed, the best of the best friends were probably admiring the handsome covers of some magazine.

Hermione's tent was not drawn, and the girl could be seen in her pajamas, lying on her bed reading a tome for pastime.

The moment Hallie pushed the door in, Hermione subconsciously looked up.

Seeing Harley, the girl's eyes lit up: "Hallie, you're back!" ”

"yes!" Harley yawned and threw the book onto the only empty bed in the bedroom.

"Let me go wash up first."

After Harley came out of the bathroom with her head wrapped in a towel, she went straight to Hermione's bed.

Hermione didn't close the tent, just kept the door open.

Harley nimbly slipped in, pounced lightly, and pressed against Hermione's back.

Hermione was reading the Transfiguration History in her hand with relish, startled by Harry's actions.

After feeling the familiar soft and delicate body behind her, Hermione quickly reacted to who it was.

"Hallie!" Hermione struggled to roll over, allowing Harley's head to rest on her lower abdomen.

She said in a slightly complaining tone, "Can you not be so scary?" I'm very timid! ”

"Giggles!" Hallie chuckled and didn't respond, but rolled over and lay straight on the bed.

A hint of cunning flashed in Hermione's eyes, and she also turned over at the same time: "Eat me with a ball!" ”

After a few minutes of fighting, Harley, who had been drained of all of her energy by Professor Snape's Potions class, was defeated and successfully suppressed by Hermione.

Of course, only she knows whether there is water released or not.

The two lay side by side on the bed, and Harley whispered about the takeaway from the lesson.

At the end of the day, Harley didn't forget to mention to Hermione what the house-elves said during the holidays.

And Halliby and Professor Snape spoke in more detail, except that Dobby was not named, and that Hogwarts was in danger, all of Dobby's words were repeated.

As for Dobby's claim that Hogwarts is in danger, Harley thinks that this kind of unfounded statement should not be said nonsense.

The Dark Lord doesn't invade every year, how can Hogwarts, with demigods in charge, be so dangerous?

Although she had heard the snake language before, Harley could tell that the snake was definitely not at the demigod level, and she had the strength to brush it alone, so it was not dangerous.

After listening to Hallie's description, Hermione looked disgusted:

"Why is this creature called a house-elf so disgusting?

Originally, I sympathized with them as slaves, but after listening to Dobby's actions, I don't have much sympathy for them now! ”

"You still sympathize with them?" Harley had a strange look on her face, and then relayed the history Nicol had told her to Hermione.

After listening to this, Hermione's disgust with those house-elves deepened again.

Hermione was kind, not stupid.

Although these house-elves look pitiful now, think about it, if the wizards were defeated in the first place, then it is the humans who deserve pity now.

"Don't talk about the poor creatures who were defeated." Harley stretched, "When they are determined to destroy all of humanity, we have an unending relationship with them.

The willingness of our ancestors to let them continue to live as slaves is already the greatest grace. ”

Hermione nodded, not dwelling on the topic further.
