Chapter Fifty-Four: Chaos

At night, an eerie scream shatters the peace of the city of Carlo. A humanoid creature with thin limbs and black and purple light crawled out of the black hole. His red eyes scanned his surroundings, then he slashed open the doorway with his long claws as sharp as steel knives and leaped down. The first one came out, followed by the second, then the third, and monsters kept jumping out of the house.

The patrol guard was thrown to the ground by a monster, and the monster lay on top of him and bit open the veins in the guard's neck with its fangs, and warm blood spurted out. The other guards recognized the monster that was sucking human blood and eating flesh as a man-eater. In horror, he ran back to warn everyone.

The Magic Guild is in shambles due to a sudden attack by a man-eater. Numerous and thick-skinned ogres continue to raid the Guild. The guards in charge of guarding Nelus heard the chaos outside, and they left Nelus to run out. Seeing that the time had come, Talos sneaked out of the sight of the others and made their way to Nerich's cell.

He uses his sword to slash through the locks of doors, which are highly resistant to magic and can only be opened with physical attacks or keys. Nefrius was inside and heard movement outside, and he asked vigilantly, "Who?" ”

Talos lowered his voice, "Don't panic, it's me, Talos. I've come to your rescue, it's full of dark creatures outside, and a horde of ogres have invaded the Guild. I'm afraid it's a conspiracy and we should hide you in a safe place. ”

"Why are you here? Also, why are you slamming the door? ”

"No way, I can't find the key, and they won't let you go, maybe the person who planned this conspiracy is hiding in the law enforcement mage group, no one can trust it now, I want to guarantee your safety." Talos swung his sword with all his might.

Soon, with a crisp cracking sound, the door was opened by Talos. He dragged Neriches in the other direction, avoiding everyone's eyes and answering Nerich's questions along the way. When he brought Neroth to the place he had chosen beforehand, he finally showed his fangs.

"Goodbye, my friend." Talos spun around quickly, and a flash of light shot out of the staff. Neros reacted quickly, but was unfortunately hit in the shoulder and was charred black.

"Sure enough, it's you!" Nehris said angrily.

"It's too late to know now, you're going to die today!" With that, Talos fired several more magical attacks at Neroth in succession, accompanied by the blazing heat of the flames.

"It's too early to rejoice! You traitor, damn bastard. You have betrayed all my trust, I thought we were friends, but you betrayed and framed me! Why! Neroth asked sharply as he dodged.

"What? Because of you, no one pays attention to my genius, and all eyes are on you. No one can see me, they see you as the future heir, why! Why! I've been growing up here since I was a kid. I'm the heir, you're just shameless outsiders! Go back to your epic continent! "Taros was so angry that he besieged Neroth with fire.

"Death, Neros!" Talos' staff tapped on the ground, ready to deliver the final blow to Neros.

In desperation, Neros resorted to his last means of survival - a teleportation crystal. Neroth used the power of the crystal to send himself out of the city of Carrot. Neroth was at a loss and chose to see if the situation in Rand Town was as the law enforcement mages had claimed.

Talos' heart sank to the bottom with Neroth's escape, and he let out a fury on the spot. He didn't calm down until he had finished venting, and he had to think of a remedy while Neros didn't come back.

Tarlos calmly returns to the Magical Society, where cannibals are still rampant. The skull that Neroth found was not mortal, at least much more powerful than the one he had found before. Depending on the situation, there are still a lot of these guys, and no one can spare their hands for a while.

When he returned, he thought of a cruel solution, he wanted to kill everyone who suspected him. The first to be killed was Ruan, the temporary agent, and then Yorick, and once they died, no one would know anything unfavorable about him.

Talos quickly finds Ruan, who is busy dealing with the cannibals, and he has no time to be distracted by the six or seven cannibals. Taros saw the moment and threw a magic ball full of energy towards the center. A massive explosion swept through the scene, knocking over walls, rooftops, and unfortunate ogres and mages from the dead.

With madness in his eyes, Talos looked closer, and found no sign of life on the ground other than the pit left by the magical explosion. Ruan died, and all that was left was Master Yorick, who was sick in bed.

He had never felt that the office of president was so close to him as it was now. Tonight has been an extraordinary night.

Yorick had been recuperating in the Guild's sanatorium since he fell ill, and when the turmoil of the night reached his ears, he wanted to do his part to show these dark creatures the power of the seventh-level great magician. But the sick body didn't give him this opportunity, and he was barely able to lift his staff now, let alone cast magic.

Talos knew that there was a shortage of people everywhere and that no one would be around Yorick to take care of him, and that this was the time to get off the phone. Talos's evil heart is skyrocketing, and malice is spreading in his heart.

He crept into Yorick's courtyard, and the lights in the room led him to Yorick's exact location. He crouched down and slowly poked his head out from under the windowsill to peer into the room. Yorick was busy at his desk, and he was scribbling.

Talos looked left and right, and lowered a magic scroll on the ground that isolated the space to create another small world. This is the scroll he stole from the magic item storage room, the level is not low, no one can escape under the ninth level mage, and if you want to break this scroll, you can only do it through the outside, and it is difficult to break it inside.

The mask covered the entire courtyard, and Talos smiled cruelly, now was the time to do it. He climbed into the room from the windowsill.

"Good evening, Mr. Yorick." There was no evil aura in his voice.

"Why are you here, Talos. The abominable beasts are wreaking havoc outside, and as a good mage, you should be out there and destroy them with your companions. Yorick put down his pen and looked at him warily.

Yorick slowly got up, a hand creeping into the drawer under the desk. He placed a magic ring on his hand and gently stroked the tiny gem on it. These movements went unnoticed by Talos.

"I have more important things to ask Mr. Yorick."

"We'll talk about it tomorrow, but the most important thing now is to destroy those damn creatures of darkness."

"No, no, no, I think what I'm going to ask is more important, and it's a big thing that can't be delayed. I wonder what you think of Nelus' case? Talos asked, looking him straight in the eye.

"Does it matter? When the truth comes out, you will naturally know, and this is what it is for when you come through the window so late? What exactly are you trying to say? Yorick said with a cold face.

"Then I'll be honest, did you suspect that this had something to do with me? You haven't been in a good state since you last saw Nevis. Tarlos slowly approached Yorick, then sprinted up to him and pushed him away, taking the opportunity to pick up the unfinished letter. He saw his name on it.

It is a letter addressed to the epic continent, in which Yorick takes him as the real object of suspicion and insists that the sinner is not Nelus but someone else.

"You really doubt me! I'm glad I was cautious, otherwise I would have let you get your way. Very well, now give you two ways, either tell me anyone knows about this, and I'll give you a happy death. Either choose to keep your mouth shut, and I'll find a way to get you to speak. Be smart, teacher, and don't be tortured senselessly. ”

"Don't think! Your heart is dirtier than the dark creatures out there! Sure enough, the only person who can do this kind of thing is the shame of you, the shame of the mage! Yorick scolded bitterly.

Talos gritted his teeth, the veins around his neck exposed, anger running through his head.

"Good! I'm a mage's shame! You've never seen my hard work and talent, and you've only seen Nevis's bastard, but so what, now your proud student is nothing more than a filthy and depraved mage, who is as evil as those wizards in everyone's eyes. Talos rushed forward, grabbed Yorick by the neck with one hand, and lifted him up.

He watched as Yorick's face flushed with blood until he lost his breath. He let go of his hand, and Yorick's body fell to the ground. He crouched down and rummaged through Yorick's body for any unfavorable information, and after a busy search of Yorick's body, all he found was the ring.

He held it up and fiddled with it for a long time, but he didn't notice anything special, so he crushed him with one hand, and the glimmer of light drifted into the air, and somewhere in the darkness an identical ring emitted a ray of fluorescence.

Having found nothing, Talos decides to try again in an old and cruel way. He recited an ancient secret phrase to Yorick's corpse on the ground, and a white spirit floated out of Yorick's corpse.

He uses a wicked sorcery called soul reading to try to find clues in Yorick's soul, but the white spirit would rather die out than let him succeed. Eventually, Tarlos was so angry that he messed up the room and faked it as a monster attack, even the corpses.
