Chapter 17: The Mind Is Endless
"Suspicious, this guy has a stumble."
The bright blood lips that floated with willful style pursed them with a little surprise. Contrary to his bored and lazy appearance, Lucifer straightened up his Persian cat-like back full of sensitive sensory nerves, and stared at the young man beside him who was bent on reading the genetic terminals of the enhanced wolf soldiers.
"Eliyan, you model maniac, did you hear me say it! You see, that white-minded sniper. β
The young man is slow and logical, but sharp as a faster-than-light waver gun ready to fire. Hearing the slight sigh of joy and disgust from the people around him, he hurriedly responded: "Yes, yes, the princess has an order at any time, and the little one has no reason to obey." β
After smiling at the slippery loyal knight's words, one of his crystal-toned multi-organism arms was still like a fish dissolving in water, and he was in love with the genetic essence vessel between the strands of the biochemical soldiers, protruding like a mountain ridge. The brave guards who allowed him to enter and exit the place where the genetic information was implanted let out a melting murmur as the core of the flower and fruit was pleased by the butterfly because of his delicate touch.
"You villain, I really don't know how many men and women who have transformed and improved their flesh have benefited." Lucifer slanted at Eli, who was deliberately embarrassed, as if he had eaten the top dessert, and laughed as a thief.
"Don't be funny, my princess, and be terrified. What you are talking about is that the force field that protects this prime minister has the qualifications of a primordial supergod, which is really unexpected. β
Lucifer pondered.."It seems unlikely that two super spices will be found in the same dish, and the Eight Achievements are the eldest young master. β
Eli teased him good-naturedly. "You have discovered the ability of rare beasts, and you are really embarrassed to be in the next place!"
Lucifer pretended to be a bare eye, brushing away Eli's fingers that had slid down the cartilage around his neck. "Put away your popular tentacles for me first, and come back later if you want to drink champagne. You see, the people who rushed out were really reckless, and this time it was miserable. β

Before Hayfat could think of any reversal, a white figure rushed in from behind her. In an instant, all the fierce "invisible" rays of light hit with a single blow, piercing into the body that stood in front of Metis.
The man's body was bounced against the wall by the onrushing force of the beam of photons, and then fell again, a distorted smile on his face from the excessive pain.
Hyfar stood still, watching as Metis knelt down in front of the man, his trembling hands outstretched, trying in vain to help him stop the bleeding. After a long pause, Hayfate's heart was finally unfettered, and he sent a familiar name to his mouth: "Gahia!" β
Metis never knew she had the capacity to grieve, and in the face of countless deaths, including her own, she was most thrilled by the feeling of vicarious comfort. As long as there is an extra space in this universe that the dead have cleared, she will be inexplicably happy.
However, what she did not calculate was that she always needed a pebble that would remain by her side no matter how hard the torrent was. At this time, she knew that even if all the old enemies were wiped out in an instant, they would not be able to withstand the injured people around her.
Her throat seemed to have a backlog of countless broken bones, her heart, which was beating peacefully, lost its usual frequency, and perhaps in an irreplaceable moment, one of her fatal parts was also struck by the scorching light. She stared at the big hole in Jiaxia's chest, and finally squeezed out the words from the chaos of thoughts: "It's okay, try not to move, Jiaxia." β
Garthia's consciousness was losing as he shed blood. He was amazed at the trembling timbre of Metis, a precious gift he had never dared to expect, but which had been delivered at an unpredictable juncture. His snort was not about injury, but just shyness caused by too much surprise.
"Your Excellency, I'm fine. Just, or can I call you, sister? β
That slightly timid question made Metis feel the sadness of being hollowed out. She was speechless, so she nodded vigorously.
Jiaxia smiled genuinely happily, but there was too much sadness in her eyes: "I already knew, but I didn't know what to do." We owe it all to you, and you have reason to hate, butβ"
He coughed violently, a bloodshot from the corners of his mouth.
Metis was frightened and sad: "Say no more, your woundβ"
Garhia continued: "There's no need to bother with it. I've been by your side for so long, and I've looked at the pain beneath your calm exterior, and I don't know how to show youβ"
"No more, Garthia."
Gahia struggled to straighten her upper body, took Metis's hand that pressed against his wound, and held it tightly: "Believe me, at least there are people in this world who love you, at least one person. β
He twitched, and then everything fell silent.
Hayfar silently watched as Metis's face drooped and buried in Gahia's body, and muttered softly and lovingly, "Silly boy, my poor and lovely brother. I believe, I believe you love me. But how do you want me to bear the void of losing you? You don't leave any chance and let me love you equally? β
She stroked the hair on his dead brother's forehead, stood up, and turned her back to Hafaat: "Just now, you could have killed me." Why not do it? β
Feeling that his mind was still very stiff, Hayfat said in a stagnant voice: "I'm sorry, I... I can't carry out this task anymore. β
Metis's face was filled with a downright mean smile, "Academia are too naΓ―ve after all, dear professor. β
Her tone became colder: "Hafate, this scene can't end, if the two of us don't die one of them." β
"Metis, don't push me."
Metis's expression was terrifying, and the silver bands of light around her suddenly struck towards Hyfate. Haifar avoided the blow, but the wind cut his neck.
The sharp pain helped him forget the loss and weakness caused by his grief, and he was a little annoyed: "This is your ultimatum. Do we have to fight? β
"Isn't that what you hoped for? Or are you scared and want to save your life and go back to Rhaegar and wag your tail and beg for mercy? β
Hafaat's pale face was swollen red, and the anger under the extreme shame made him immediately buckle. "Invisible" flew out like clusters of glowing moths, and he saw the most incredible picture: Metis was filled with strange joy, watching Lynch Road's photon beam approach her shield, a superdimensional force field that no physical weapon could break through. At the moment before she was about to meet the white air current, she quickly withdrew her protection, allowing the "invisible" to directly penetrate the white body that was floating in the darkness.
Haifart opened his mouth wide in astonishment and looked at Metis, who was still standing. His throat felt like it was choked with lead, and he tried to help the man he had been targeting, but Metis waved his hand and wouldn't let him go.
"Why, Metis?" Hyfat noticed that his voice was choked, and he felt nothing but complete loss and fear.
Metis leaned against the wall with one hand, but the other drooped, allowing the blood to drip freely. She smiled very faintly at Hafaat, who could only be dumbfounded. The Metis he had known before was not at all the gentle and sad dying man in front of him: "Yerna, I'm just tired and tired. At some point in the future, you may feel the same way. β
Metis struggled to her lying position, took her brother, whom she had never acknowledged, in her arms, and gazed sadly and liberated at the inanimate body in his hands: "Now is the perfect time to say goodbye to this world. β
She tried to retrace something, some sounds, but her gradually blurred consciousness gently stopped her. She saw Haifaat, who was trembling like a helpless child, and was amazed at how comfortable she was.
Then, as the darkness widened, she suddenly remembered the bright smile and the sincere entrustment, but she could not think about it any longer, and only poured out her last thoughts in a very humble voice: "I'm sorry, but it's already so." β
Hayfat finally managed to calm himself down, and did his best to look at the pair of sisters who had died in the same way with a kind of indifference. They embraced each other in an incredibly close way, and the blood stains on their bodies were like chains that bound them together.
Haifar remained silent, like an eternally still cosmic interstitium. Suddenly, he made an unexplained motion: he knelt down beside Metis and took her and Gahia's clasped hands, allowing them to clasp with his hands. He said quietly, "I wish you all happiness. β
Suddenly, he shuddered, and felt more than one pair of strange eyes lurking inside the palace, not in the form of any creature, staring at him coldly but curiously. He shook his head, putting aside the absurdity. Everyone knows that Metis doesn't need any guards other than impersonal cyborg warriors. Even the guards had already been sent away by Metis.
He stood silently for a moment, as if to rely on the strange throbbing of his heart. At last, he turned and walked away to the path of the photons from which he had come, humming in a low tune that the bard Heckhel had sung on his deathbed.
"When I die, join hands with me through the Q Swan sign. Dear lover, the stars flow like dust, and the sand that flows back contains my ashes and bags. The future is always here..."
Eventually, he walked out of the palace and paced into the night, assimilating into the night. Even so, Ke Erxing still slept indifferently, under the consistent gray-purple heavenly river.
