Chapter 31: The Nameless Wilderness
I packed the things I brought out and put them in my bag, I took out my mobile phone, and planned to contact the handsome white guy, but I found that the phone was broken and couldn't be turned on at all.
It is estimated to be caused by an electromagnetic pulse. It is estimated that their communication equipment is also hanging. But they should be able to see me coming out from a distance.
So I walked down the mountain, admiring the more colorful world along the way. I was also thinking about some unsolved puzzles.
Where did the shockwave go when the two spaces merged, and what changes happened to my body, whether it was caused by the moon spirit or the energy radiation.
Whether the change is temporary, permanent, continuous, or sudden. I also feel more and more uneasy, what if I become a creature like the one in "District 9", which is not human or monster.
After walking for a long time, I found that the environment was wrong, the pleasant scenery of the area seemed to be only a dozen kilometers, and in the distance it turned out to be a barren, yellow sand and gravel.
I'm almost crazy, it can't be that the big explosion that razes that city to the ground, won't the little thousand and the others be gone?
But then I thought, no, even if it was a big explosion, it wouldn't be a sky full of yellow sand, at least there would be ruins.
Could it be that the scope of geomorphological changes is too large, and this ancient city is also abandoned. So I sat down to rest, drank some clear spring water, and wondered whether I should walk out of the yellow sand, or sit in this oasis and wait for help.
Suddenly, I had an idea, why don't I meditate again and communicate with my surroundings. So I sat down cross-legged and went into a meditative state.
Soon, I felt a longing for peace and tranquility. The surroundings are vibrant, yet quiet and harmonious.
The atmosphere is clean and friendly. It's not like the disgusting feeling I felt in that hotel before. Further communication in the distance is also broad and unrestrained, and all kinds of creatures coexist in an orderly manner.
I opened my eyes, confused. This doesn't seem to be the city. To be sure, I'm going to walk to the edge of the oasis and feel it again.
After walking for about five or six kilometers, I finally came to the edge of the oasis, and I was disappointed, the yellow sand around me was endless, and it seemed to be a desert.
I looked at myself and smiled wryly. With no equipment, no supplies, no navigation, and a random walk through the desert is estimated to only go around in a big circle.
It's better to wait for help in the oasis, after all, I have something of value on me, and even if they are untrustworthy people, they will do their best to come to me.
I didn't bother to communicate with the desert, so I dragged my tired body and walked a little into the oasis. The first thing to solve is the problem of eating, I lie down, recalling Bei Ye's show, although some of them get goosebumps when they think about it.
How can I taste the worms like chicken and crunchy. It's better to find some normal food, but the silence around is too much, even quieter than a quiet place.
So I thought for a second, if there is a desert and there is an oasis here, with plants and water, it will definitely attract other animals to come here, or at least to drink.
And I, as long as I guard the water source and lay an ambush. So I found a few stones, broke a few branches, made a few not-so-sharp wooden spears, and stacked a pile of stones to try my luck.
As night fell, the temperature was much lower, and I was so guilty that I didn't dare to make a fire for fear of scaring the animals away.
Eventually, a larger animal came running like a ghost, almost silently, so that I could see the objects in the night a few days ago.
Now it seems to be seen more clearly, it turned out to be a lynx, a very large lynx. As I got closer, the lynx seemed to smell my scent or sense something, and slowly, cautiously, and very cautiously approached the water, and after observing it for a while, it yelled at the water a few times, and then began to lick and drink.
As soon as I saw that the time had come, I smashed a brick at it, picked up a wooden spear and rushed over. Unfortunately, the lynx reacted too quickly, and saw it leap backwards with agility, dodge the rocks, and then roar at me.
I held the wooden spear and stared at the big cat, thinking that I would not be able to catch it now, and the lynx stared at me for a while, hesitated, and wanted to escape, and seemed to be reluctant, I laughed, especially I want to eat you, do you want to eat me too.
Do you know what death is? I'll give you a ride. So I raised the wooden spear forward, and then shook the spear, intending to quickly deal with the lynx, and roasted it.
I saw that the lynx's mouth was skewed, and it ran away, and I could only look at its distant back and be stunned. I guess that's not the way to go, the beasts are faster than me.
Suddenly, I had an idea, it's night, and a lot of animals can't see it, but I can see it, so.
I sat cross-legged on the floor, and then I thought, isn't it just sitting and meditating, why do you have to cross your legs, I'm tired to death, why don't I lie down and try it.
Then I just lay down on the grass by the water, slowly calmed down, and tried to be with the surroundings I don't know what it was
"Spirit" communication. Idleness is idleness, and I simply guess everything I feel
What is the "spirit" in real life, suddenly, I felt a faint signal not far away, so I concentrated on feeling, about fifty meters away, there are living beings.
Once I had determined the direction, I picked up the wooden spear and went to look for it. After walking about thirty meters, I tiptoed as fast as I could, for fear of scaring the creature away.
