The first year of the plot Ordinary School Day (2)
Hogwarts has a wide range of courses, with first-year students taking Transfiguration, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy, Herbology, History of Magic, Flying, and more.
The afternoon after the conversation in Professor McGonagall's office was the first Charms class. By the way, are McGonagall and Dumbledore really intellectually curious, are they from Gryffindor and not Raven Laura?
Spells were taught by a surprisingly small wizard, Professor Filius Flitwick, who had to stand on a stack of books to reach the lectern during class. As the class began, he took out the roster for roll call, and when Harper's name was read, he screamed with excitement and fell to the ground and disappeared. Looking at the disappearing Professor Flitwick, Harper's head was full of black lines, this is really a magic school with a fine tradition, these teachers don't all have the essence of chasing stars, right?
It was time for the most anticipated course in the class – Defense Against the Dark Arts, or DADA for short. The professor wasn't surprised by Harper, as Professor Quirrell had seen him at the Cauldron Bar, but his class was almost a joke. The classroom where he was in class was filled with a garlic smell heavier than the one he had seen in the bar, rumored to be to drive away a vampire he had met in Romania for fear that the vampire would come back and arrest him. Professor Quirrell told them that his scarf had been a gift from an African prince who had thanked him for helping him free himself from the zombies, but no one could say if they really believed the story he told.
Because, when Seamus Finnigan of Gryffindor impatiently asked Professor Quirrell how he defeated the Resurrection Zombie, the Professor's face flushed and he muttered about the weather; Second, they noticed that his large scarf also smelled strange, and Ron Weasley said that his twin brothers had told him that it must have been stuffed with garlic as well, so that Professor Quirrell was protected wherever he went.
I have to say that gossip really knows no age, no gender, no college, just like the head of Gossip in Slintlin is Draco, after all, many of Harper's requests come from him, and Gryffindor seems to be the red-haired twins of the Weasley family.
At midnight on Tuesdays, you will go to the Astronomy Tower for an astronomy lesson, as the stars are best seen at this time. This is the tallest tower in Hogwarts Castle, and you need to climb a steep spiral staircase to get there. Professor Aurora Sinistra will ask them to observe the sky with a telescope, learning the names of different stars and the orbits of the planets. This is probably one of Justin's favorite courses, after all, he likes to calculate meteorite trajectories and the like, and because the calculation results are affected by chocolate residues for a while, they almost have to move back to the wizarding world!
Judging from the two days of classes, many people here, regardless of whether they are wizards or not, actually have similar magical knowledge, and they have too much to learn, even people from wizarding families like Draco are not necessarily much ahead.
On Wednesday afternoon, they follow Pomona Sprout, a pudgy witch, to one of the greenhouses behind the castle for a herbology class, where they learn how to grow these strange plants and fungi and learn about their uses, all of which are full of harmless creatures. In this class, I also met Hermione, who I haven't had the opportunity to contact since the beginning of the school year, because I took it with Ravenclaw.
History of Magic, though only once a week, is probably the most tiresome course, and the only one taught by a ghost. It is said that Professor Binns Cuthbert fell asleep in front of the fireplace in the faculty lounge, and when he went to class the next morning, he forgot to bring his body, which shows that Professor Binns was indeed very old before his death. Professor Binns kept speaking in a monotonous voice, while the students scribbled down names and dates, confusing the wicked Merrick with the weird Yurik. However, Harper's view of the history of magic is a far cry from what he knows, at least not from what Jerry's dad taught, mainly because Harper thinks history should be the same.
Friday was the most anticipated lesson of all of Slytrin, as the instructor was taught by the head of the house, Professor Severus Snape, and Harper watched as Draco began to carefully preview the textbook the day before.
"Didn't you hear that Professor Snape especially hated Gryffindor students and was more partial to his own house? Because you won't be embarrassed by us, especially you. Harper looked at Draco, who was still watching Magic Potions and Potions for breakfast in the Great Hall.
"You don't know Professor Snape is harsh, though he does not like Gryffindors, especially—" Draco glanced at Harper.
"What do you want me to do? Do I have anything on my face? Harper touched his face with his hand, "I'm not a Gryffindor, why are you bothering me?" ”
"Hear from my dad, Professor Snape had a holiday with your dad when he was in school, so..."Draco said the news came from his father.
It turns out that the Malfoy family has ancestral gossip! But... Professor Snape had a holiday with his dad... It can't be because of Lily's mother.
Just then, the mail arrived. Now Harper is used to it. But on the first day of breakfast, a hundred or so owls suddenly flew into the auditorium, which really startled her. After all, the magic mail in the previous life was either delivered through the magic network or singlely, so many birds sent together really haven't seen it, Jerry's dad may have experienced it. These owls flew around the dining table until they found their respective owners, throwing letters or packages into their laps.
So far, Barran has barely taken anything from Harper other than to help her deliver comic manuscripts to Dailey. Sometimes it flew in and pecked Harry's ear for a sip of toast, and then flew back to the owl house to sleep with the other owls on campus. But this morning, it fluttered its wings and landed between the jam pan and the sugar jar, and placed a note on Harper's plate, which she opened immediately.
Dear Harper: (very scribbled)
I know you don't have classes on Friday evening, so I wonder if you can come and dine with me around 6pm? I'd love to know how your first week went. Please let Barran hear back to me.
Hagrid
Harper borrowed a quill from Draco and hurriedly wrote on the back of the note, "Okay, I'll be glad, see you in the evening." Then he let Barran fly away.
"You're not going to eat in the auditorium tonight? To the half-giant? Draco watched as Harper agreed to a servant, not approving.
"Well, he's named Hagrid, if you don't go, help me bring my things back to the break room after the herb class, and I'll make an appointment with Hermione to bring Neville along." Harper said indifferently.
