Chapter 17: Hogwarts
Hermione had been talking about the spells in her textbook in the carriage with great interest, and she had a lot of questions to discuss with Ted, as well as that irrepressible excitement.
Understandably, I'm more excited than she is if I can learn magic.
The question is, she also kept asking Harley, Ron, and Neville, the little wizards of the wizarding family, what spells they learned at home? Of course, the one that discolored the rat doesn't count.
Ron: I think someone is targeting me!
But it's clear that neither Neville nor Ron wants to talk about it, and their faces are painted with humility and caution that belong to the scumbags.
Jerry shivered even more.
Hallie can tell three, four, five, six. Flying Charms, Disarming Charms, etc., these Teds haven't been touched on yet.
It seems that under Sirius's education, she learned a lot.
Harry's talent in the original book was very good, and now it's not bad to look at this Harley at all.
The train is moving forward slowly, and it is about to shake people to sleep.
From noon to sunset, the destination is still far away.
Still fast? This is a sightseeing car!
By the time the announcement was made on the bus, it was already dark outside the window.
Hallie and Hermione went out first, giving the four young boys time to change their wizarding robes. Then replace them.
The train quickly came to a halt, and the six people got off in a row.
It's a small station, a bit basic. It was so dark that I couldn't see it clearly.
A very tall figure carrying a lantern shouted in the distance: "All new students come here, follow me!" β
It's hard to ignore him, because of his three-meter-tall head and his bell-like voice.
"It's Hagrid, let's get over there." Hallie clearly knew Hagrid, and strode over with the crowd to get ahead of the curve.
"Oh, Hallie, how are you? And Neville. Hagrid whispered "hello."
He followed Hagrid down a narrow path, and soon his eyes opened up.
They had reached the edge of the lake, where a row of small wooden boats was waiting for a new life.
The rocks by the Black Lake were covered with moss, and Hagrid shouted to the new students, "Be careful with your step, don't slip." β
As soon as he finished speaking, two of the students slipped and almost didn't go straight into the lake.
"Four people in a small boat, no more!"
The four of them got on the first boat, and Ted and Hermione got on the second.
When everyone was on board, Hagrid shouted "Let's go," and the boat moved in line.
Each ship has a boat lamp, but it can only illuminate itself, not too far around.
The black lake below him is like a dark mirror, reflecting the moon and stars in the sky without a trace of waves.
A row of small boats seems to move silently in the Milky Way......
The students were nervous and did not dare to speak out, and a complex emotion surged in their hearts.
There are people in this huge black lake in Ted's book, but it's a little ugly.
It may be that fish people are also divided into species: yellow, white, agricultural and the like.
The Celestial Empire is called the merman, and the main records are all marine species.
There is also a huge squid of unknown origin in the Black Lake, and the squid has no freshwater species.
This means that the lake next to Hogwarts is a saltwater lake in the northern part of the Scottish Highlands.
If Scotland were too far north, only the bare highlands would remain......
So, there is a large forest, and there must be the remains of a castle...... Hogwarts is estimated to be in an area west of Loch Lomond and north of Glasgow.
This is also in line with the triwizard Arena Saidrmstrang's huge galleons coming out of the lake, and Scotland's saltwater lakes are generally huge elongated lakes with direct access to the sea, rather than endorheic lakes.
It's hard to imagine Durmstrang's boat entering a freshwater lake through those shallow rivers on the highlands. It is estimated that it is by sea.
Ted had nothing to do but diverge his mind and began to calculate the location of Hogwarts.
"Turn this corner, and you'll soon see Hogwarts for the first time." Hagrid shouted back.
"Take a closer look, it's going to be a memory you'll remember for a lifetime." Ted whispered to Hermione.
Turning over the cliff, you can see the outline of the castle dotted with lights in the distance!
The closer you get, the bigger the castle becomes, and it's so magnificent in the light.
This is Hogwarts! Which strong ...... does the Dark Lord cultivate?
Hermione whispered, "This path is taken by every freshman, supposedly to allow us to experience the hardships of the founders of Hogwarts finding the castle. β
"Maybe there's something else to it."
Ted sensed something unusual, a grand magic that connected him to the castle in the distance.
This freshman revisiting the old path of creating the Academy's Big Four should be an ancient ritual magic.
By completing the whole process, the student signs a contract with the school and becomes a student of the school.
"Bow your head~" Hagrid said roughly. The low, loud voice echoed from the cave.
The boat approached the cliff, and there was a hidden cave under the steep cliff face, and the boat carried the students forward, stopping at the pier of a cave.
Hagrid held up the lantern: "All down, down." Follow me. β
The freshmen disembarked from the boat and walked up a series of steep stairs with more than 200 steps to an open-air plaza surrounded by columns. At the end of the square is the gates of Hogwarts.
Hagrid stepped forward and raised his sandbag-sized fist to hammer the door, "Knock knock~" Listen to the sound, this door is thick enough.
The door was opened by a bald ugly old man whose hairline had reached the Heavenly Spirit Cover.
If this was in the Qing Dynasty a hundred years earlier, the lowest would be a Baylor!
"Is it a freshman? Just leave it to me. β
Hagrid snorted, like the roar of a car engine, "Filch, you'd better be polite to them." β
Filch snorted in disdain.
He led the freshmen into the gate, muttering as he went, "You'd better be honest, for if I get caught, you'll be guilty." β
Ted's long-awaited voice rang out.
"Ding~ Trigger Task:
γExplore Hogwarts (Red)γ
This is Hogwarts, the only school of witchcraft and wizardry in Great Britain and one of only three in Europe.
The thousand-year-old school doesn't know how many secrets are hidden waiting for you to explore, what are you waiting for?
Discover them, find them, take advantage of them!
Wuhu, take off~
Goal: Explore Hogwarts.
Progress: 1/100%
Rewards: 1000 experience, +1 skill points, random cards.
It must be said that not traveling late is equivalent to not reading Hogwarts. Listen to the applause! β
Filch looks quite old, but he has good legs and feet, and his steps are not slow.
The little wizards were not very good in physical strength, so they first zigzagged up hundreds of steps, from the cave under the cliff to the gate, and then they were led by Filch for a race walk, and they were all out of breath.
Those who are not in good health are sweating a little.
Fortunately, they were also there, and the group was taken to another tall wooden door, and Filch left without looking back, leaving "wait".
The little wizards were finally able to take a break, and began to whisper and discuss what they had just seen.
At this moment, there was a sudden suppressed exclamation.
Ted turned his head to see several milky white translucent ghosts coming out of the wall.
Suddenly the freshmen began to make noise. Some of the little Muggle-born wizards were amazed, and some even reached out curiously to touch them.
The ghosts are friendly and welcoming.
Ted couldn't tell who was who.
Professor McGonagall had already pushed open the door and walked out, her eyes scanning the crowd with a serious face, and the little wizards fell silent.
"Before the opening feast, first determine which house you each enter into." She said.
"There are four houses at Hogwarts, and the next thing you will do in front of the whole school is a very important ceremony. I suggest you get your grooming done and get ready for ......."
Her eyes paused on Neville and Ron.
Neville's cloak was a little crooked, and there was a black streak on Ron's nose, probably from the hasty march.
The others are no better, just like those who fled the famine.
As soon as Filch started school, everyone was put together!
Professor McGonagall also talked about the House Cup and the scores, and seemed to be very focused on honors.
Professor McGonagall returned to the Great Hall, and the crowd began to talk.
Whether they are Muggle-born or pure-blooded, they are all worried.
For the sorting ceremony, there are even more opinions.
Hermione was already nervous about memorizing the textbooks, and she was worried that there would be an entrance exam for the sorting ceremony.
"Don't worry, I won't take the calculus test." Ted scares her~
Hermione glared at Ted, "When is it......"
"Please come in." That's when McGonagall returns, and she leads the students into the auditorium.
Four long tables sat in the middle of the huge auditorium, filled with students of different ages.
On the surrounding walls, there are courtyard flags of different colors, such as green snakes, blue eagles, red lions, and yellow badgers.
The roof is a transparent ceiling where you can see the stars directly when you look up.
Hermione whispered in a voice that was afraid of alarming something, "I saw this ...... in Hogwarts, a school history"
Ted nodded: That's right, the effect of the ceiling in the school auditorium is that it looks like there is no ceiling.
