Chapter Ninety-Eight: Chivalry Island
As the ship slowly moves in, the bottom of the sea gradually becomes shallower. The water is very clear, and at a glance, the bottom of the water can be seen clearly. The corals at the bottom of the sea are very beautiful, some resemble blooming flowers, and some resemble antlers. Sea cucumbers are everywhere, squirming lazily on the ocean floor.
There are all kinds of fish on the bottom of the sea, some of them are covered with colorful stripes, some have a cluster of red tassels on their heads, some have many fans around their bodies, and they swing around when they swim, and some have round eyes and thorns on their bodies, and they are as round as a ball.
This kind of scenery is extremely dangerous for the ship, but fortunately, the captain is experienced and knows the waterway, and directs the fortune ship to row lightly between the reefs, along the winding course, towards the goal.
The place where the ship intended to anchor was not Gaojianshi Island, but Lin Island in the Paracel Islands, which was later known as Woody Island. It is named after the deep forests on the island. It is an oval-shaped coral island formed by white coral shell sand piled up on the reef platform, and is the largest island in the Paracel Islands and the largest island in the South China Sea Islands.
The island is an island composed of a composite of rising reefs and coral shell sands. It belongs to the tropical marine climate, with high temperature and rain all year round, and is one of the most advantageous areas in China with hydrothermal conditions. The vegetation on the island is luxuriant, with a forest composed of maple trees, and the island is surrounded by shrubs such as grass and sea trees, silver hairy trees, in addition to a large number of coconut trees, casuarinas and so on. Tropical plants are overgrown and the woods are dense.
This island is also an island where ocean-going merchant fishing ships often dock temporarily, and the captain of the ship is familiar with it, so he smoothly commanded the Fukubune to dock here.
If you go from Lin Island to Gaojianshi Island, you can't use the big fortune boat, which is too big and the draft is deep, so you can't shuttle through the reef piles, so you need to use a small oar to row the boat.
Before dawn the next day, the captain instructed the crew to carefully hoist a small boat from the bow to the sea.
This is known as the "material river boat", with a load of about 200 catties. The bottom of the ship has two layers, both of which are made of ironwood three or four feet thick. Because seawater is prone to corrosion of iron, iron is not used in the construction of ships. There are three masts, one mast is often planted, and the second mast is planted by the wind. The bow of the boat is pointed and the tail is large, and it is shaped like a duck mother. Although this ship is small, because the ridge of the ship is made of giant trees, the bottom is round and strong, so it can haunt the waves.
Gaojianshi Island is dozens of miles away from Lin Island, and you have to arrive before dark, so you need to set off immediately. Lin Ping got on board, along with six crew members and a helmsman. Lin Zhennan was not at ease, but was dissuaded by Lin Pingzhi. The boat is small and can't accommodate one more person, Lin Zhennan can neither sail nor steer, nor can he do martial arts, and it is purely cumbersome to go. Lin Zhennan is not a mother-in-law, and when he was persuaded by his son, he dismissed his idea.
The boat spreads its small sails, one person takes the helm, two people raise the sails, and four people paddle hard. There were reefs along the way, and Lin Pingzhi didn't care about enjoying the beautiful scenery of the corals, standing at the bow of the boat, looking left and right at the fairway, for fear of touching the reef. Fortunately, the boat is small and flexible, and there are no major accidents along the way.
As the sun was about to set, the helmsman cheered. Lin Pingzhi looked into the distance, and saw a large island with verdant trees a few miles away, and the strange peaks on the island were upright, and a high mountain stood tall. The ship was fed with the wind and sailed straight ahead. Only one meal effort, has arrived in front of the island. At the eastern end of the island, rocks descend into the sea, while on the south side of the island is a large sandy beach with boats moored directly on the shore.
Lin Pingzhi was quite surprised that the later Gaojianshi Island was only 7 meters above the water, 20 meters long, 15 meters wide, and only 0.04 square kilometers in area, like a boulder isolated on the sea. Where did you think that this time would be so big!
The crowd dropped anchor and went ashore. Lin Pingzhi asked everyone to correct on the shore, and he used his own light skills to search on the island. He has achieved a good cultivation, his eyes are like torches, not to mention that he also has the "Illuminate Range" attribute bonus, there is no difference between day and night for him.
According to the description in the book of chivalry, the stone cave engraved with martial arts patterns is in this mountain.
After Lin Ping went straight to the mountain, it was densely packed with forests. He struggled to recall the descriptions in the book, looking for the deep stream that pointed the way. After turning around a few times and walking some unjust roads, Lin Pingzhi finally found a deep stream where the water was panting. Lin Pingzhi is overjoyed, it is easy to do with a stream, just go up the stream and you can find it.
In the original book, there are trails and mountain roads here, which are estimated to have been built later by the owner of the second island of Longmu, and now there is nothing, just a rugged and difficult tropical jungle. Fortunately, Lin Pingzhi's light work is extraordinary, but he can also overcome hardships and go up the stream.
All the way along the mountain stream gradually higher and higher, after turning two turns, I saw a waterfall hanging down from more than ten zhang high, it seems that this waterfall is the source of the mountain stream. Lin Pingzhi is overjoyed, it's easy to find the waterfall! This is the entrance to the cave.
Lin Pingzhi looked carefully, and in the water curtain under the waterfall, there was a swarthy hole, and he immediately jumped in. In front of me was a huge cave.
Lin Pingzhi entered along the cave, and the cave was quite complicated. Some places are very narrow, need to crawl forward, sometimes but suddenly open up, only to feel gradually lower, the sound of flowing water appeared in the hole, Cong Zheng Zheng, crisp and pleasant, such as hitting the jade.
There are many branch roads in the cave, and every time there is a branch road, Lin Pingzhi uses the treasure hunting mouse Xiaohong, a big killer, to let it explore one by one and choose the most suitable route from it.
After walking more than two miles in the hole, there is a road, which is obviously a trace of artificial pondering. Lin Ping's heart was overjoyed, and it seemed that it was about to arrive.
Sure enough, further on, there was a wide stone room, and on the east side was a large polished stone wall, which was carved with pictures and words.
Lin Pingzhi hurriedly approached and took a closer look, the fruit painted on the wall was a young scholar, holding a fan in his left hand and flying palm in his right hand, and his demeanor was very elegant and chic.
Next to the picture is engraved with five big characters of "Zhao Keman Hu Ying", and the pen is very chic. There are a few lines of small characters under these five large characters, and if you look closely, you will find that they are all annotations. The annotation on the character 'Hu' says: "Hu, the people of the Western Regions." The New Tang Dynasty Book Chengqian Chuanyun: Hundreds of people learn the sound of acoustics Hu people, and the vertebrae are cut into dance clothes......'"
Lin Pingzhi was ecstatic, he finally found it!
There are many annotations on the pictures, such as Hu Ying's annotation: "Zhuangzi said that the sword chapter is cloudy: 'The prince said: The swordsmen that my lord has seen are all unkempt and protruding, hanging crowns, and the tassels of the beard, and the clothes of the short back. Sima Zhuyun: "The tassel of the manhu is said to be coarse and unreasonable." ’”
Lin Pingzhi had read the book Xia Kexing, so he naturally knew that these annotations were all fooling people and useless. According to the description in the book, he carefully observed the lines that make up the folds, faces, and fans of the people in the picture, and the strokes all had the meaning of coherence. For example, the line of the right sleeve of the person in the picture corresponds to the operation of the 'Zu Shao Yang Gall Sutra'.
Lin Pingzhi practiced for a while, then stopped. Although this set of internal power methods is exquisite, it is not as good as the Northern Shengong and the 24 tricks of the Jinguan Jade Lock. It didn't do much to him. What you learn is refinement, not erudition, and learning too much is useless.
Lin Pingzhi crossed this stone chamber and came to the next one. This stone carving corresponds to the five characters of 'Wu Hook Frost Xue Ming', which is a set of swordsmanship, but it is hidden in the strokes of those explanatory texts. Lin Pingzhi looked at it and jumped over, no matter how good the swordsmanship is, can it surpass the Dugu Nine Swords?
The third stone chamber corresponds to the 'silver saddle shines on the white horse'. Lin Pingzhi looked at the clouds under the horse's feet, and the clouds and mist seemed to be constantly pushing forward, until they wanted to break through the wall and fly out. This is a set of light exercises. Lin Pingzhi looked at the lines of the clouds, his inner breath surged, and he practiced according to the law. The Huashan faction's light skills are mediocre, and they also need a good light gong method.
The poem "Chivalrous Travel" has a total of 24 sentences, that is, there are 24 stone chambers illustrated. Lin Pingzhi traveled through the rooms and checked them one by one.
The fifth sentence 'kill a person in ten steps', the tenth sentence 'take off the sword and knee forward', and the seventeenth sentence 'save Zhao and swing the golden hammer', each sentence is a set of swordsmanship. Lin Pingzhi skipped it and didn't look at it.
The sixth sentence is 'a thousand miles without staying', the seventh sentence is 'something is done, and the eighth sentence is 'hiding deep and famous', each sentence is a set of light body kung fu. Lin Pingzhi studied carefully.
The ninth sentence 'idle through the letter tomb drink', the fourteenth sentence 'the five mountains are light', and the sixteenth sentence 'the bones of the dead man' are each a set of fist methods. Lin Pingzhi's reference is one or two.
The thirteenth sentence 'three cups of spitting promises', the eighteenth sentence of 'Yiqi Su Nisheng', and the twentieth sentence of 'Xuanhe Daliang City' are the internal strength of breathing. These are also skipped.
Lin Pingzhi kept moving forward, only picking those things that were useful to him. Until entering the twenty-fourth room. The walls are densely carved with tadpole inscriptions.
Lin Pingzhi took a look at it and understood what this thing was. TOEFL has developed the Internet in later generations, and the more bizarre things are, the easier it is to get attention. Lin Ping in later generations has seen someone explain this kind of text on Douyin.
This tadpole script is a variant of the ancient Jin script, which prevailed in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and is said to have been created by King Wen of Zhou, and later disappeared in the Warring States Period.
"Spring and Autumn Justice" quoted Wang Yin's "Book of Jin: The Biography of Shu Hui" and said: "The scholar of science and literature, the ancient literature of the Zhou period. Its head is thick and the tail is thin, like the insect of the family fight, so it is commonly named. ”。 It seems that during the Zhou Dynasty, King Wen of Zhou carried forward the tadpole culture.
Confucius said: "I am still the text of history, and I am also a husband when I die." This means that I have studied a kind of que text in an ancient book, and now no one can use it. The Que text that Confucius said is the tadpole text.
Confucius lost the texts back then, and I don't know where the author of the Taixuan Jing learned it.
Lin Pingzhi took out a pen and paper and recorded the tadpoles one by one. Although according to Chivalry, these tadpole characters only study the lines, and don't care about the meaning of the words. But according to the opinions of those great gods in later generations, the lines are only given for usage, and the real outline should still be in the text. Otherwise, the two island masters of Longmu have practiced for forty years, what are they practicing?
