Chapter 641: Philosophy Precepts
The food delivery is still delivered by the service staff, but the advantage of not going through the platform in the middle is that the meals delivered are better than those on the platform in terms of quality and quantity.
Moreover, the cost of the delivery person is directly paid by the merchant, and the timeliness of the delivery is also guaranteed.
No matter what, once there is an oligopoly, there will always be some moths. Now it's talking about the platform platform everywhere, and it seems that without the platform, nothing can be done.
The platform for takeaway is essentially an intermediary. Before this platform appeared, Zhang Lan remembered that there was already a similar way around the school.
However, at that time, they were all direct phone calls to the merchants, and then delivered to the individual. At that time, food delivery was generally ordered by several people, because there were fewer merchants who did not deliver, and the cost of running errands back and forth was not enough, and it was not appropriate to invite one person specifically.
With the development of the Internet era, gradually there are takeaway platforms.
In the early days, everything brought great convenience to people, until later, with the gradual development of scale, the signs of monopoly began to appear.
However, no matter how convenient it is in the hands of a private person, and it is still for profit, do not expect it to be profitable all the time.
Shaking his head and leaving these behind, what does this have to do with himself, Zhang Lan said in his heart, and gave a piece of mutton to Yu Lingling.
Zhang Lan himself doesn't eat mutton, doesn't eat fatty meat, and everything else is okay.
After making up her mind some time ago, Zhang Lan began to gradually reduce the number of times she ate meat. Originally, from time to time, she would make a pure lean shredded pork in Beijing sauce or stew some ribs for herself to eat, and during this time, Zhang Lan began to eat eggs often.
In fact, how to say such a thing as eating meat, in the earliest statements, there was never a statement that eating meat was not allowed. It's just that it is forbidden to eat some foods that are more irritating to the mouth.
For example, condiments such as onions, leeks, garlic, and coriander, not eating meat is more about not killing, that is, if you eat meat, the source of this piece of meat cannot be killed and slaughtered because you want to eat meat.
The reason why I don't eat irritating food is that when I close my eyes and meditate on it, how can I be careful when my mouth is full of green onions, leeks, and flavor.
Or in the ancient environment, it was impossible to do enough oral cleaning, in this case, it can only be said that it is forbidden to eat some food.
With the passage of time, when Mahayana Buddhism was on the rise, there began to be a saying in the Buddhist scriptures that Buddhists should practice the bodhisattva path and reach all sentient beings.
Since we want to save all living beings, and animals are among them, how can we save them if we eat the flesh of animals? Moreover, according to the Buddhist idea of reincarnation of cause and effect, the meat eaten now is likely to be transformed by the parents and children of the previous life, which is absolutely perverse in ancient remarks.
For example, the "Buddha Says the Buddhist Medicine Sutra" records: "People eat meat like their sons, and all animals are my parents, brothers, and wives, and I cannot count them." The Sanskrit Sutra also says: "All flesh is not to be eaten, and those who eat meat will cut off the seeds of great compassion and Buddha-nature, and all sentient beings will see it and give it up, so all bodhisattvas must not eat the flesh of all sentient beings, and eating meat will cause immeasurable sin." So in this situation, Mahayana Buddhism is gradually abstaining from eating meat.
Another reason is that after the Tang Dynasty, in order to avoid the tragedy of "Dharma difficulty", the Sinicized Buddhism, especially Zen Buddhism, was reformed, and the monks themselves engaged in labor to produce food, no longer relying only on donors to provide for them. Temples are generally built in the deep mountains and forests, and there is no fertile land to cultivate, which can only maintain the minimum living needs of the monks, and there is no more food to raise livestock and brew fine wine, so naturally, the precept of abstaining from alcohol and meat has been formed.
In Taoism, there is also a saying that it is forbidden to eat irritating food, and the reason here is similar to that of Buddhism, mainly for the problem of cavity cleaning, and in ancient times, when there were no sanitary conditions, the choice was to forbid.
Among the prohibition of meat, Taoism is divided into two main categories. For those who are born, because of their geographical location, and because they can't marry or have children, many of the precepts are similar to those of Buddhism.
There is also a kind of precept that allows you to marry and have children, and the precepts are biased in ancient times towards the precepts propagated by the ruling class.
The main practice of this kind is the four major meats. Refers to beef, birdfish, wild goose and dog meat.
Among them, beef has been one of the very industrious animals since ancient times, and the cow eats grass all its life, squeezes out milk, and works all its life to help all living beings.
Dogs are synonymous with loyalty, and since ancient times, they can take care of the home and herd the herd for their masters. Therefore, it is inappropriate to slaughter and eat meat, and it violates the belief in loyalty.
Eating wild goose meat is a rare occurrence in modern times, but it was common in ancient times. The reason for not eating wild goose meat is that Taoism believes that the wild goose is a symbol of chastity, and the wild goose is absolute monogamy.
After the mullet spawns, the body will become very weak, and it may die at any time, at this time, a part of the small mullet will swim to the mother's mouth, let the mother eat itself, to achieve the continuation of the mother's life, it is said that filial piety.
The above four "four don't eat" are actually a kind of feedback from ancient Taoist scholars to the society at that time, loyalty, righteousness, chastity, and filial piety.
From here, it can be seen that the main thing is to talk about a belief propagated by Taoism in the ancient social production environment.
In modern times, with the gradual development of society, the precepts are more for the purpose of strengthening the belief in spiritual practice. As for the impact or something, it's really not that big.
Putting aside the idea of occultism, look at the science in it. A lot of things can be explained in a scientific way.
Meat aside, the main reason for abstaining from meat is to avoid a pungent taste in your mouth. In abstaining from meat, there is also a saying in Taoism that says five meat and three disgust.
In addition to the five kinds of plants with pungent tastes that represent the five meats, the three types of meat that have a stimulating effect on the body are the three main types of meat.
In short, whether it is five meat or three hates, the main purpose is to quit eating foods that are irritating to the body, so that people can calm down.
When you calm down, you will naturally be able to start meditating and contemplating.
It is only after calming down that there will be a mind to understand and learn related things.
Originally, Zhang Lan didn't understand these things, and in his heart, quitting meat was simply understood as not being able to eat meat.
In fact, regardless of whether or not you can practice to the actual skills, the essence of the precepts is to calm people's minds better.
After being able to calm down and stop being impulsive, you can think about something differently. People will not be able to calm down and think about other things when there is something abnormal in their body. (End of chapter)
