UT-0 (Prologue) dream

Next Chapter

I had a dream.

In my dream, I lived in a very depressing place.

……

A dimly lit bedroom, cold air, and a bad piece of news that I overheard not long ago.

They hung over me, made me tremble, and even began to think about the meaning of life.

- Get out!

The inner voice cried out.

So, a silent and dim dawn, I really tried.

Jumping out of the window, he swooped into the sky like a bird and fell to the ground.

This should have alarmed the guards.

I covered the blood with grass, tore the hem of my obstructive blue and white dress, and ran towards the forest.

The dead trees on either side let out a sharp screech.

The brook at his feet opens its greedy mouth.

The whole forest was staring at me coldly.

Only the waning moon in the sky illuminates the foreground.

and a mysterious call to guide me.

This piercing fear and freedom drove me to run as fast as I could.

A long, long time ago, I came to an ancient castle.

The pursuers behind didn't keep up, and I was too tired to run, so let's hide for a while.

And just like that, I came across it inside - a small glass bottle containing a black stone shard.

It's a very small piece.

It was placed on a table in a room, along with a spindle.

In this moment of emptiness, I talked to it.

At first, it was only lightly mentioned, but before I knew it, it had become enthusiastic.

I feel a little happy.

I have never spoken to someone so happily in the past ten years, and for the first time, I realized that my heart was not gloomy and speechless.

Perhaps, this is where I end up.

The predicament in which I am located is also described to it.

"Want to change?"

It told me.

- It can help me get rid of everything I have now and live in a new place with a new identity.

But there was a price: I had to undergo a great test; And I need something on me in exchange.

I pondered for a moment, looking back at the castle window, and on the other side of the forest, there was endless darkness.

I agreed.

Then cut off the half-cut head with a dagger and send it to it.

It blends with the hair and turns into a beautiful pendant.

I wore the pendant around my neck.

But the thumb of the left hand accidentally scratched the tip of the pendant.

Make a cut.

The wound was bleeding unstoppably and did not heal as quickly as usual.

The imprint on the heart of the finger was like an open eye against the background of the wound, and bright red tears poured out, ring the nails, dripping to the ground.

"Ding-dong, ding-dong......"

Pools of blood grow oily black wattle vines.

My body gradually weakened, and I lay down on the shaker woven with thorn vines.

The moving wattle envelops and devours me.

I fell into a deep sleep.

Along with the sleeping pendant is the pendant that shimmers blue in the darkness.

It was so dazzling, so warm.

……

Then I woke up.

There was an extra pendant of unknown origin around his neck, exactly the same as the one in his dream.

- Where did this come from?

- Could it be in a dream?

I can't figure it out, but I'm reluctant to throw it away, feeling that it has some special meaning, and I also fantasize that it has a wonderful memory when it stays.
