Chapter 4: Crimson
The doll lying on top of the man's head was wearing a very bright pink lotus dress, which was very much in line with the impression that the voice gave Esther, but whoever was stared at by the two eyeballs in his mouth would feel a chill in his heart.
Before it could react again, Esther decisively picked out the mop in her hand and stuck it directly under the man's neck, squeezing the man who wanted to get out of the house.
The man's body slammed to the floor, his neck stuck tightly on the ground by the mop, but he didn't react, but the doll "giggled" and laughed, like a child who was extremely happy because someone was playing with him.
"Who are you? Who are you? ”
The eyes in the puppet's mouth swirled and rolled, and the voice that Esther "heard" became sharp and joyful.
The man suddenly struggled violently, like a marionette forcibly pulling at the joint, not even caring that his bones were torn off in such a struggle, and his elbows and knees made a noise as they suddenly snapped back, just to be able to roll over and grab Esther.
In Esther's perception, there was a painful and faint scream from the man's body, cursing in a voice full of resentment, and constantly pleading for help.
His curses were full of hatred for the ship, but also full of remorse.
Esther knew in her heart that the captain had mentioned that the sneaky person who boarded the ship was probably some kind of cult member, and this unlucky bastard who was bewitched was Neiying, who helped them bring this strange puppet on the ship, and then activated it, but became a sacrifice himself.
No...... Perhaps the whole ship of people was a sacrifice.
Esther's eyes froze, and she pushed the man out with the front end of the mop fiercely, causing him to hit the cabin on the inside of the utility room, and the mop head finally couldn't bear the force, because this action broke, and Esther was left with a long stick with wooden thorns in her hand.
Breaking free from the confines of the mop, the man stood up in a twisted position, like a puppet forcibly lifted, twisting his folded legs, but pounced on Esther with unusual agility.
At this time, we can't care about the problem of making trouble, we must solve this evil puppet as soon as possible, and think about it, where may its weaknesses be? The pair of men's gouged out eyes?
Esther's movements didn't stop because of the thoughts in her head, she quickly picked up the empty barrel next to her, threw it out with her backhand, and smashed it the man's face.
Esther used a lot of force this time, and the man's nose was flattened directly to one side, and the whole face was sunken.
But his lunge was only slightly delayed, and the next second he continued to rush again, until Esther kicked him in the abdomen in the side, and the man who was controlled by the puppet flew out again, smashing a row of wooden shelves in the corners.
The doll slid limply from the previous violent impact, but it grabbed the hair on the back of the man's head again, and let out a griek of dissatisfaction crawled back to the top of the man's head, and the eyeballs in its mouth rolled faster and faster.
The man's cheeks and limbs suddenly and quickly dried up, while his abdomen gradually swelled, as if the blood in his body was rapidly disappearing, and a few drops of blood were dripping from the puppet's mouth.
Esther grabbed the edge of the other barrel again, and as soon as the man straightened up, he slammed the barrel upside down in his swollen abdomen, and the man was slammed against the wall by Esther, but he couldn't catch Esther immediately because he was separated by a barrel, leaving only a few scratches on her arms and cuffs.
In this short gap, Esther's long mop in her right hand stabbed steadily, and she picked the screaming doll to the end of the broken mop stick, which she was almost using as a spearman.
After Esther managed to pull the doll, the man's body immediately collapsed limply to the ground, twisting into a limp ball like a rag doll, his bulging belly gradually deflated, and the doll's screams suddenly stopped.
With a strong hand, Esther pierced the puppet's body with a long stick, pinning it to the ground.
It began to giggle again, and a red light rose from the puppet's eyes, like two full moons. The two blue eyes rolled wildly, gradually deformed by the squeezing of the lower half of the puppet's mouth:
"I see you."
Esther took out the unusually hard shell of the shaker, resisted the sweet and bloody smell that almost made her vomit, and slammed the shaker into the puppet's mouth.
The puppet made its last movements, and two ruby-like eyes appeared in its hollow eye sockets, which "bonelessly" turned, constantly swirling on Esther's face, this time it was a call that gave Esther a splitting headache, and the voice fell into Esther's perception, vague and distant:
"Help me! Can anyone help me......"
There was another faint warm fragrance that diluted the disgusting sweetness in the air, but Esther's movements did not pause, and this time the target of her sandhammer fell became the eyes of the puppet.
After smashing the doll's head into pieces, Esther stepped aside, and the sandhammer had sunk a corner, which made Esther feel a little distressed.
She glanced gloomily at the sailor's crumbling limbs, and then turned to the strange puppet on the ground.
It was completely motionless, and it didn't look much different from a normal wooden doll, except that half of its chin was stained with blood mixed with wood shards, and more blood was pouring out from where it had been pierced by the stick, more than the doll could carry.
In Esther's perception, the two abnormal smells were rapidly dissipating, leaving only the smell of rust and blood in the air, gradually becoming thicker as the blood in the puppet's body flowed out.
Esther knew that her good fortune had once again protected her, that she had come too early, that the man's vicious sacrifice had only just begun, and that he had not yet been completely corrupted by the puppet.
Because his spirit sent a distress signal on the survival instinct, Esther sensed it and quickly came here.
But the cry just now was different, and Esther could vaguely recognize that it was also a male voice, but his simple cry for help made Esther feel pain in her brain, and her "spiritual intuition" appeared a little restless.
Combined with the puppet's last strange speech, Esther had a vague guess that it was a bait or deterrent for "Zoya", and the other party saw not her, but "Zoya".
Didn't I say, why do you have so many enemies? It's like everyone wants to bite you.
Esther grumbled in her head, and of course, she didn't get any positive response to such a boring question.
Esther never dared to steal the other person's thoughts or actions during the process, and she always had a hunch that something worse would happen if she did.
But what next? Esther looked around the utility room for a moment, and between cleaning up the scene directly and asking for help, she hesitated for a moment and chose the latter.
If Esther's feelings at the time were correct, Captain Reeves was a "sailor" himself, or something to do with the Church of the Storm. Such an event related to the evil god is best known to the official extraordinary person or the church.
After all, the "Blue Gull" is Reeves' ship, and there is such a person in his crew, so it is better to let him pay more attention to avoid another crisis next time.
Esther is not afraid of finding out about her, as long as she can run away as soon as she goes ashore, she has long been used to running away as a "thief", anyway, as long as it takes a while, others will forget her.
She fumbled the walls back down the hallway and went to the upper floors to look for the others.
On the endless sea, the crimson moon shines brightly.
I saw that the famous Polish dish actually had strawberry pasta...... It's a pity that there is really no way to plug the branch lines of the three kingdoms of Fenerport or Lemburg.
