Chapter 14 First Class
Because she passively entered the state of perceiving the spirit world last night, Esther rarely slept in bed for a while this morning, which was more like she was sorting out the sense of chaos in her mind to stabilize her senses.
So when someone approached the door, Esther got up as soon as she opened her eyes, and with a certain premonition, she quickly smoothed out her messy hair, and quickly got dressed.
No sooner had Klein's knuckles snapped into the wood than Esther opened the door:
"Good morning, Gelman! What's wrong? β
Of course, she also saw the man standing next to Crane, about thirty years old, with softer facial features than those of Rune, eyebrows painted black for some reason, but there was still a little yellow hair under the wig.
At this time, the man's bright blue eyes were turning from side to side, trembling and following behind Crane, showing the nervousness of gritting his teeth from time to time.
However, when he saw that it was a young lady who opened the door, the person was obviously stunned.
Klein didn't have any expression and said coldly: "Go to the first class." β
"Huh......"
Esther, though confused, didn't say anything and honestly went to pack her things. She subconsciously sniffed, as if she smelled something similar to a mixture of gunpowder and rust, which was quite faint, and disappeared in an instant.
Esther pinched her nose blankly and continued to pack her things.
Because the wooden door was not closed, Esther heard the sound of Crane opening the door next door.
And his instruction, which is clearly inspiring:
"Put the things on the table in your suitcase."
Esther was a little surprised and amused, what kind of character is Klein holding now? Who is that man, I feel so unlucky.
Esther also heard the gentleman's aggrieved "yes", which made her almost burst out laughing.
Afterward, Esther and Klein followed the cowering man up the stairs of the first-class cabin to the door of Room 312.
"What shall I call you, sir?"
"Ziggy!" "Daniz."
Crane spoke at the same time as the man, and announced two very different names.
Esther covered her mouth and laughed twice, and said solemnly, "Okay, I see, Mr. Signiz. This is Gelman Sparrow, you must already know each other, well, you can call me Hamel, Hamel Brook. β
The man's real name "Daniz" was full of shock, and he wondered where she could tell that she was "very familiar" with this bloodthirsty, terrifying and ruthless Gelman.
Walking into the room, Esther glanced at the spacious living room, the master bedroom and the small room on either side, and immediately said to Klein, "Then I'll go find a servant's room, don't you mind?" β
"Whatever." Klein pressed the top hat on his head and made no objections.
Then Esther looked at Daniz, "Do you want to live in the servant's room too?" That'sβ"
"You choose first." Klein said with a straight face.
Daniz nodded hurriedly: "Yes, yes, you choose first, I'll choose later." β
Ace was very embarrassed, not letting Daniz see her terrible expression management, and she held back her laughter quite hard.
Placing the box in a servant's room, Esther returned to the living room, and saw Crane and Daniz sitting opposite each other, and Esther simply sat down in the easy chair and listened curiously.
Crane swept Daniz with a chilling gaze, "Tell me about the well-known pirates you know. β
"There's a lot of that." Daniz was so embarrassed that he even subtly lifted his chin in Esther's direction, trying to make Klein notice that the lady was still there.
Of course, Klein didn't care, he slowly raised a grim smile: "According to the bounty." β
Esther immediately had a guess about Daniz's identity, and looked at him with the same smile, her eyes full of scrutiny.
A drop of cold sweat slowly trickled down Daniz's forehead.
Shit! The woman's gentle and harmless appearance was so deceptive that she almost forgot that she was also an accomplice of the madman Gelman!
ββ
Since they moved to first class and had a ticket for Daniz, Klein and Esther were able to eat at the first-class restaurant.
Under Crane's coercion, Daniz talked about the bounties and information of the major pirates all morning, which changed Esther's impression of his "poor man", and it was obvious that this was also a pirate who had been wandering the sea for a long time.
At the end, Esther asked, "What is Daniz's bounty?" β
"Three thousand gold pounds." Klein answered.
After this, Esther's attitude towards Daniz became more and more kind, but Daniz felt more like a half-baled cured meat under her calculating gaze.
There was also a violinist in the first-class dining room, which made Esther take her attention away from the "three thousand gold pounds" a lot, listen to the performance with great interest, and greet the Donna family when passing by, and chatted a few words.
Klein also put on a faint smile and pointed at Daniz: "He's in for a treat." β
Donna and Denton also looked at Daniz curiously, making him uncomfortable.
Cleves's gaze was much sharper: "Your friend? β
Klein turned to look at Daniz, "What do you say?" β
Esther smiled and watched Daniz grit her teeth, and it could be seen that for some reason, he had been scared enough by Crane, who had dealt with the "three thousand gold pounds" when Crane went to the bar to inquire about the news last night.
Daniz barely held back a sentence: "Gelman once saved me." β
Is this a thank you for not killing? With a smile on her lips, Esther said goodbye to Donna's family first, and then walked behind Klein to the window seat.
The waiter quickly came over and served the menu, and Esther looked at it, her eyes lingering on the foie gras in red wine and the lobster baked in milk for a long time, and she felt that the food in the first class was really much better than that in the second class.
Daniz began to complain about the barrenness of what he could eat when life at sea was unfed.
And after Klein glanced at the menu a few times, he made a cheerful gesture to the waiter: "All of these." β
"Okay." The waiter responded, wrote down the menu and went to prepare.
Esther begged the waiter, leaving the menu in her hand, and she watched the introduction of each dish very carefully, as if she wanted to memorize them before eating.
When Daniz was chatting with Klein, she barely interjected.
It wasn't until the pale golden aperitifs came that Esther's eyes lit up immediately.
The sweet and slightly drunken sensation rushed to her nostrils, and she had not been exposed to alcohol for a long, long time, and she had almost forgotten such a wonderful taste.
Listening to the elegant melody of the violin, Esther took another sip of aperitif: "It's really enjoyable." Thank you, Golden Pound...... No, Mr. Zigger. β
Daniz was scolding with tears in his heart, he had just heard the word "golden pound"!
It was just as Esther had eaten her first bite of crème brûlée that a crew member rushed into the dining room in a panic and rushed to the table where Captain Ellan was dining:
"Captain, there's a pirate ship!"
While most of the passengers stopped eating in surprise, Esther sped up with her hands and scooped the rest of the pudding from the bowl into her mouth, her cheeks bulging like hamsters.
Daniz stared at the empty bowl in front of her suspiciously, there seemed to be a whole piece of pudding in it a moment ago? Where did it go?
Then Danitz met Klein's dark and cold gaze, and his whole body stiffened:
"I said it had nothing to do with me, would you believe it?"
Klein curled the corners of his mouth: "Guess." β
Esther finally swallowed the pudding in her mouth, she didn't have any leftover food, she lowered her voice and asked Crane, "Shall we take care of it?" β
Klein shook his head coldly: "Go back." β
Esther still has some regrets.
However, her regret was very unusual in Daniz's eyes, and Daniz only felt that his neck was cold.
