Chapter 18: The Wind Falls
The moment Klein's words fell, six figures rushed out of the mist blown away by the wind, all wrapped in black cloaks, with empty necks and no heads, and red blood continued to spill from the broken mouth to the ground.
Before anyone else could come to help, Bishop Miller suddenly heard a "whoosh" sound around Bishop Miller, and Klein subconsciously rolled over, dodging an invisible wind blade that cut the ground into traces.
No way to be distracted! This Storm Bishop is even more powerful!
Compared to the extremely nervous Erlan and the slightly flustered Daniz, Esther's mood was calm.
They're suddenly so bold?
The claw knife in Esther's right hand swiped in the palm of her hand, and a few drops of blood splashed out between the blades, and a gentle and wonderful humming sound rippled from between her blood beads at the same time, and star-like points of light flew out from between Esther's hair, causing half of her blonde hair to fade in an instant.
The red MΓΆbius ring appeared in Esther's palm, and she instantly crushed it.
The next moment, with Esther's palm as the center of the circle, a gentle light spread out in the blink of an eye, and pale golden points of light filled the space, instantly covering the six headless monsters that pounced on her.
Their footsteps "kick, kick" backwards two steps outward, then pounce again, and go backwards again, repeating the process over and over again.
Esther's movements were completely undisturbed by this loop, and she ran two steps out of the encirclement of these monsters.
She is the only one who can do this, and if she were someone else, she has already been poisoned by the "Logan Claws".
While Bishop Miller was drawn to the light, Klein threw the "Sun Brooch" at Captain Erlan, who was closest to him:
"Infuse spirituality! Five seconds, holy water! β
Crane rolled again, dodging another wind blade, and then he leaned forward, reducing the overall area facing the wind, and his feet kept jumping from side to side, using his characteristic agility to rush in the direction of Bishop Miller.
Several wind blades quickly raised, with a burst of sound breaking through the air, trying to cut through Klein, who was beginning to close the distance with Bishop Miller.
The wind blades sliced through the ground, leaving slashes like swords of heavy swords.
Esther's footsteps stopped at the farthest edge of the Wind Blade, keeping a distance from Crane's battlefield, but her gaze followed Crane's back and Bishop Miller's movements, waiting for an opportunity.
The dark red light in Bishop Miller's eyes suddenly lit up, and he suddenly raised his hands, and a large number of wind blades flew out, enough in number and force to crush a house.
Crane only had time to dodge most of it, but his body instantly turned into pieces of scraps of paper, and was swept up by the wind blade.
Bishop Miller was empty in front of him, and appeared in Esther's eyes in its entirety, and Crane's figure flashed out from the other side, just to make way for a gap.
Esther's left hand was aimed at Bishop Miller, and she shook it suddenly.
The infinite probabilities change to the limit, and "luck" makes her theft a success.
Esther smiled brightly:
"Your abilities are good, and now it's mine."
ββ
As soon as the Cleves stood firm in the wind, they immediately protected the passengers of the White Onyx, who were unarmed.
Donna and Denton were so nervous that they almost cried when they looked up and saw several headless monsters pounce on Hamel, but then what happened next was far beyond the comprehension of the others.
Even Daniz and Erlan had never seen anything so weird, the monsters were surrounded by an aperture, and they kept repeating the action of rushing forward and backward in place.
After receiving the "Sun Brooch", Irlan immediately emptied the wine bottle in his arms and began to make holy water.
Esther seized Bishop Miller's ability to create wind blades, completely establishing Klein's advantage, and there was no need to worry about this side, she turned to the group of headless walking corpses and shouted to the other side:
"Daniz! Prepare your flames and use the strongest moves! β
"Noβyou say!"
The flames in Daniz's hand swelled, condensing a spear with a white tip of the flames, and his face turned red from trying too hard to gather his spirits.
Esther briefly withdrew Logan's Claw back to her waist with her backhand, clasped her hands together, and several points of light entered it from the corners of her temples, replacing the spiritual power needed to gather the wind blade.
While concentrating on making the Wind Blade, Esther also warned Erlan and Daniz: "The cycle is about to break!" β
Erlan is working hard to pour the second round of holy water into the jug with the "Sun Emblem".
Daniz glanced at him, and immediately had a plan in his mind: "Wait and throw them on them!" β
"Understood!" Erlan replied.
With a distorted shrieking hum, the light that enveloped the area turned into filaments of light that quickly dissipated into the air. The six headless monsters were out of the loop at the same time, still rushing towards the middle of the encirclement, but the place was already empty.
The tyrannical wind filled her front with Estra spreading her hands, and several crescent-like waves swept through the air and rushed towards the group of headless monsters.
Under Esther's control, all the wind blades rolled towards the monsters' legs and feet, and just between breaths, the bodies of those monsters lost their support and fell into a ball with a "plop" sound.
"Throw!"
Erlan threw the bottle full of holy water at the heads of the monsters with his backhand, and Daniz sank on the soles of his feet, aiming at the small moving target, and twisted to throw the blazing flame spear in his hand!
The square flask was completely pierced, and the holy water burst out at the same time as the flames, like a holy rain of fire, and the blazing flames and divine breath swept the headless monsters below at the same time.
They melt away quickly and are thoroughly purified.
Esther's expression was in a trance for a moment.
The "Red Priest" and the "Sun...... Together.
But now was not the time to be stunned, she immediately came to her senses and turned her attention to the battlefield on Crane's side.
Klein's battle had just come to an end, and the black-gloved palm of his left hand squirmed and cracked open a bloody grief, devouring his soul and flesh in the howl of Bishop Miller.
Esther breathed a sigh of relief, Klein was as reliable as ever, and that was it!
Klein turned his head and bowed at Esther, who glanced at everyone's situation and hurriedly spoke: "This side is also solved, no one is injured." β
Donna and her party were fine, but when they were blown out by the wind at first, several adults had a few scratches on their bodies, and the two children were fished out by Esther, but they were unscathed.
Crane walked to the side, picked up his blown off silk top hat, dusted it off with a blank face, and snapped it back on.
The remaining light in the air gathered into points of light and flew back to Esther's head, recoloring half of her silver hair.
Esther stared at the ground where Bishop Miller had disappeared, and a thumb-sized crystal had condensed on the ground, like a blue crystal, but from time to time there was a dark surface of the rushing tide inside.
It smelled like a sea breeze and didn't appeal much to Esther.
It's just that she subconsciously glanced at Daniz, it seems that when they first met before, the rusty smell of gunpowder was not an illusion, because he was extraordinary......
Esther rubbed her nose again, did she still have to collect the flavors of the twenty-two routes to distinguish them?
However, she silently remembered the word that had just come to mind, "Red Priest".
Klein sorted out his gear, picked up Bishop Miller's extraordinary properties, pulled out a rough paper figure, and shook his wrist sharply.
The paper figure ignited in the air, and as Crane let go of his fingers, it flew down and turned to ashes in mid-air.
"Let's not shoot the telegram, right?" Esther couldn't help but look at Erlan, "It's better to get out of here as soon as possible now." That telegraph station, too, is also very wrong. β
Erlan was still a little hesitant, but considering the strange ability that Esther had shown before, he quickly made up his mind and nodded: "Okay, let's get back to the ship as soon as possible." β
Crane glanced back at the two of them and tapped his blood-stained cane to the ground:
"Let's go."
ββ
When they finally stepped onto the deck of the White Onyx, everyone was relieved of the burden on their hearts a little.
Although there were no more monsters on the trail ahead, everyone tensed their nerves and nervously guarded against possible enemies.
Klein waited last, and only after everyone had boarded the boat, did he quickly come up after him.
Donna and Denton seemed to want to come and talk to Klein and Esther, but after Esther's whispered reassurance, Crane also shook his head at the two children expressionlessly: "Go back, let's talk about it tomorrow." β
Donna was quite intelligent, and immediately nodded and took Denton's hand, and the two children made a "silence" gesture to indicate that they were willing to keep it a secret for several people.
Daniz and Esther stood on the side of the ship, looking out at the misty harbor of Bansey.
Esther narrowed her eyes, and a faint streamer passed under her eyes, "I don't really like this place. β
Daniz couldn't agree with her words: "I don't like it either, it's shit!" There are monsters everywhere. I don't want to come again! β
"But if something so big happens, the official church should take care of it, right? After all, the bishop was still theirs. Esther leaned against the bulwark, flicking her claw knife between her fingers, "The ability of the Wind Blade is really enviable......
Daniz wondered: "Didn't you use it all before?" β
"Short-term, only for a while."
Esther glanced at Daniz and decided to let him go, not to just steal the ability to condense flames to play, which would scare Daniz.
Still, her expression was so obvious that Daniz could tell at a glance what she was pondering:
"Don't rob me of my abilities!"
"I didn't say or do anything." Esther lazily raised her hands in a gesture of surrender.
Captain Erlan walked over and looked at Daniz, "Blaze? β
"Haha, guess." Danitz replied dryly.
Erlan's EQ is very high: "Then I don't think so. β
With that, he glanced at Esther again and nodded at her, but managed to hold back the curiosity in his heart.
There are some secrets that the less you know, the better, and Erlan knows this truth well after being in the royal navy.
After Ellan left, Crane also walked over, standing in the empty seat between Esther and Daniz, looking at Bansey Island shrouded in fog like the two of them.
A dazzling thunderstorm sounded on the side of the mountain, and even from such a distance, it was unusually clear at night.
"I think I'd better go back to sleep," Esther rubbed her right eyebrow, "and that's probably it, maybe a member of the Storm Church will come and ask about it later." β
Perhaps because of the relationship they had fought together, Daniz was much more accommodating towards Esther, but still quite fearful of Gelman.
Since Esther had suggested that she should go back to rest, Daniz immediately seized the opportunity to speak:
"Then let me go back too, lest I really meet them. Uh, good night? β
"Good night."
Klein replied faintly, still standing on the side of the ship without moving.
He looked like an ice-carved sculpture, waiting for the first rays of dawn to thaw him.
