Chapter Eighty-Eight: Distant Shores
Olawe Island.
Klein was browsing a Rorsted tabloid and having dinner at a restaurant.
When he's not playing "Gelman Sparrow," he's enjoying sugary Teyana juice without any burden, as the restaurant is close to the Olawe Medical Care Foundation, where he volunteers and where Klein often settles out dinner.
Suddenly, his hand to get the juice cup suddenly froze.
The spiritual intuition was touched, and Klein even had a creepy sense of horror, and the coercion from the high-ranking people in the same path was quite clear. Although the other party did not deliberately restrain his own existence, nor did he feel any malice, Klein still instinctively raised his vigilance.
He turned on his vision, and the next moment, a pitch-black puppy with a bright forehead came out of the spirit realm and jumped into Crane's arms with a letter in his mouth.
Dog? Whose dog is this!
Klein immediately noticed the puppy's eyes that seemed to be burning flames, and the flames gave him a rather strange feeling, constantly changing shapes, as if they were constantly disillusioned and reshaped, in a state of semi-voiding.
The puppy lay directly in Crane's arms, sniffing Crane affectionately, constantly arching his arm with his head, urging Crane to take down the letter in his mouth.
Extremely powerful spirit creatures, but still juveniles...... Exploitation of child labour?
Klein removed the letter, and the writer simply folded another blank layer of paper on the outside of the paper as an envelope, which was so crude that it was insincere.
However, seeing the letterwriter's casual behavior, Klein suddenly had a guess in his heart.
"Thank you." Crane reached out and touched the little black dog's head, which happily clung to his palm, its tail wagging like it had been electrified.
Then it jumped up from Klein reluctantly, and the little black dog did not leave through the spiritual rift, but gradually turned from an entity to an illusion, and dissipated directly into the air.
Klein was also a little surprised by this, this is the ability of the doppelganger? Or is it some kind of spatial shift? The messenger of the fellow is quite special.
After opening the letter, Klein first glanced at the signed "Hamel" before reading the specific contents of the letter, and finally understood why Miss Renette Tinicol could not deliver the letter.
She has become a "parasite".
Demigod ......
Esther was always like that, and she was one step ahead of herself. Wouldn't she need a ceremony when she was promoted? Or did she already have the knowledge of the occult from her encounter with "Amon"?
Klein looked at Esther's story, his gaze paused for a moment on the Hornachis Mountains and the Night Country.
The place she describes, the black thread, is hard not to remind Klein of the dummy "world" and "all black eyes".
He frowned and thought for a moment, then shook his head.
Since he could ask Esther to steal the pollution on the "Eyes of All Black", there was no need for him to venture to Intis to investigate the place Esther said, not to mention the long distance, and they had already blown it up after listening to Esther's description.
However, we have to ask Esther when she is available to help, Intis and the Gargas Islands are not a short distance, and even if Ester is now from Delis, it will take nearly a month to arrive.
The scheduled meeting between the "World" and the "Hermit" was on April 20th, and Esther was afraid that she would not have time to arrive, so she had to be asked about this. Otherwise, just transfer the "Black Eye" through the "world" to the "lover", and it will be on the gray mist now, which will be safer than Miss Courier carrying it into the spirit realm.
Klein jotted down the slightly scribbled summoning spell at the end of the letter, folding it up and putting it away.
Let's go up and do a divination later, and see how Esther is really doing......
"Reporting good news but not bad news" has long become a habit when the two sides communicate directly.
Just as he wouldn't tell Esther how dangerous he was when he encountered the Mother Tree of Desire, Esther wouldn't tell him more details about his promotion.
——
Late at night.
The seagull, crouched on the bushes with its eyes closed as if it was napping, raised its head, and a ray of light detached from it and extended its human form again.
The spiritual gap soon opened, and the young messenger held a letter in his mouth, and raised his head rather proudly, waiting for Esther to take it down.
"Good work."
Esther said to it, taking Crane's reply from the courier's mouth.
The little black dog circled around her twice, running happily for a moment, and then the figure gradually faded into the air.
"So you still have such ability......"
Esther always felt that the puppy's posture when it disappeared was quite proud to show off to her, and she couldn't help but smile, and couldn't wait to open the envelope in her hand and look at the neat and delicate Rune writing.
"He's going to the Gargas Islands for the remnants of the gods? April 20th, it's April in two days. I'm too late to take the boat now......"
Esther's gaze fell on the seagull that was quietly watching her from a point of light.
Parasitic sea creatures seemed to be an option, and the affinity charm that Crane had given Esther was still in her satchel.
But she had an even more bizarre idea, the messenger could also send things, and Esther had an idea, maybe she could send herself in it?
She could have parasitized a smaller creature and had the Courier send her to Crane with her satchel...... Esther's control over the Pale Spike is now stable enough that she can use it against the disintegration anomalies that she will have in the spirit realm.
Esther thought about it for a few seconds and then just made a decision, and that's it!
Since "spiritual intuition" does not have any warnings, it means that her plan is feasible. Maybe the process won't be easy, but it should be within the range of tolerability.
As long as I can achieve the results I want. Thinking so, Esther folded Crane's letter, causing several points of light to ripple in her palm, tearing the letter down to powder.
She didn't plan to reply so quickly, she always kept the puppy messenger running around, and Esther felt a little sorry, so she planned to talk about it tomorrow.
This time, she will stay in the next port city as a human being, renting a hotel to settle down, instead of being a bird.
Esther wasn't going to eat fries for two weeks in a row.
——
In April, the weather warms up quickly, and in spring, the young green skirt of all things is revived, and the ferry boat of time is rushing.
Klein received a reply from Esther, saying that he would write to her as soon as he arrived in the Gargas Islands, and that Esther would give him a "surprise" and arrive on time.
Klein has a sense of ambivalence that he is curious and doesn't really want this kind of "surprise", and Esther will use the word "surprise" to describe things, which makes him feel not very sure.
Let's hope it's not some kind of dangerous move.
The day of departure came quickly, and the gentle sea breeze blew on the top hat, and Crane reached out and pressed it down, watching the port closer and closer.
Due to its northerly location, even in April, the temperature is still very cold, and there is no desire to come here in spring.
Unlike the Rorsted Islands, which are mainly wood-based, Nas, the capital of the Gargas archipelago, is full of houses made of rock, where stone is far cheaper than wood, and local materials have created a large white building style.
Klein looked at the whaling ship that had stepped into the harbor as the first passenger ship had been headed, and the large pieces of flesh that had been cut up were piled on the deck, showing a bloody harvest without any processing.
The whaling ship passed through the dock that housed various ships with pirate flags and found an empty berth, and the sailors on board immediately shouted and began to dock.
Compared to Byam's more restrained style, the pirates here are more unscrupulous, and they sit in bars and restaurants with a big grin, regardless of their own bounties of various amounts.
Klein had not gone far down the suspension stairs, and when he passed an intersection, he saw several good-looking local gangsters.
Nas was the easternmost colony of the Vorsack Empire, and the people here were naturally simple enough, and they clashed with another group of pirate men, and the two groups of people directly drew their weapons, and now they are fighting each other.
Klein didn't deliberately bypass it, but continued along his previous route, as long as he didn't interfere, it wouldn't affect him.
Suddenly, a guy dressed as a local came out from not far away, pulled out a few cans, lifted the lid and threw them into the middle of the road.
In the next second, Klein felt like he smelled the smelliest thing in the world.
Several of the people who were fighting threw up on the spot.
Crane even had to use his extraordinary abilities to hold back the discomfort in his body, and only when he walked into a small alley where no one was there, did he retch for a moment.
Minutes later, passing by the harbor whaling lodge and the downtown "sustainability" parade, Klein found a hotel and walked in.
After setting up the spiritual wall in the room, writing a short letter informing her of his arrival in Naas, he began the ritual of summoning Esther's messenger.
She had never mentioned the name of the medium-sized puppy, and Klein guessed that Esther must have not named it, or else he would have happily complimented his messenger puppy to him.
Is this out of respect? Or is it the personality that the puppy itself exhibits?
The black head with a yellowish tinge peeked out of the spirit crack, and the evil flame burning in the puppy's eye socket became more vigorous, and it happily pounced on Crane, erecting itself and grabbing his leg.
Klein leaned down and touched the puppy's head twice, "Could you please help me deliver this letter to Esther?" ”
The puppy happily rubbed his palm twice, wagging its tail desperately, it bit the letter in Klein's hand, nodded very humanly, and turned around and jumped into the spiritual rift.
Not knowing what surprise Ester was talking about, Crane sorted out the contents of his suitcase, counted the weapons on his body, and thought about the "all-black eye" stored on the gray mist.
Esther says she has a way to deal with the pollution, and that she has "experimented with the feasibility" and that she should deal with it as soon as possible when we meet, so as not to have any accidents later.
Thinking of this, Klein performed another ritual and took down the iron cigarette case that was closed with the "All Black Eyes".
Not long after he had cleaned up his room, his spiritual instinct was touched.
Klein quickly turned on the psionic vision, and saw that the puppy who was Esther's messenger had jumped at his feet through the gap in the spirit world, only to have a satchel that was too wide for its body in its mouth.
Satchel? This is the bag that Esther always carries around!
Klein quickly leaned over and took the backpack and tried to ask the puppy, "Did she ask you to hand this thing to me because something happened to Esther!" ”
The puppy looked at Klein's anxious expression and placed one of his front paws on the satchel he was holding.
It motioned for me to open it and take a look, could it be that there was a surprise in it?
