Chapter 3: The Call

The light on Esther's fingertips began to light and dim as she moved her fingers to draw the symbols completely.

The periphery of the symbol is square, and the inner overlapping outline of the box is full of messy lines and entrenched spiral lines, as if a door is completely open, revealing the strange objects hidden behind.

Bright red blood oozed from beneath the wound under the cone of light where the symbols were carved, but soon they were replaced by another gray mist. But the mist condensed like a liquid, lingering only in the wound on Esther's forehead, gradually filling the symbol she had carved.

Esther's lips twitched, and a few strange transliterations came out of her mouth, not any language she knew, or existed in the world, or used by others, but something that was purely rooted in ancient instincts.

A whisper that comes from the source.

Esther didn't lie this time, she wasn't perfunctory with the Amon clone before, if the crow still stays here, the moment she hears this voice, she will definitely lose her life, and directly turn into a time worm and separate from the parasitic creature.

An ordinary doppelganger without any characteristics naturally can't face such a voice directly.

The gray mist floating out of her body flowed on the symbol on Esther's forehead, until the moment when the drawing was complete, Esther made a strange sound, which instantly solidified the mist that was originally wandering and wanted to get rid of.

Her fingers paused suddenly, and the cones of light shattered into buzzing dots of light, flying and circling in a panic, trying to avoid the symbol that was beginning to radiate spirituality.

Something was torn in the depths of her head, and a hole was opened, and Esther bent down gradually, and the wooden box was knocked over, falling from her knees to the ground, but the sound of its bump seemed to come from far away.

A fine bulge bulged from between Esther's right eyebrow, and silvery-white flesh sprouted and writhed, trying to cover her right eye.

In Esther's eyes, which were overflowing with pain, a round star appeared again and began to flicker. She could feel that her body was becoming cold, and all her senses were thinning, leaving only the pain that was condensing.

Only the extraordinary property of being held tightly between the left hand is exuding a little heat, pulling out a strong desire.

The humming sound rang out between the points of light that swirled above Esther's head, and along with the clear sound of water, the long silver river floating outside of reality turned into a trickle out of the gate, surging up and near Esther's feet.

No, it's not time to return to your destiny......

In Esther's trance-like consciousness, there was only one recurring thought, but fortunately, the convergence instinct of extraordinary properties was still affecting her body that was becoming more and more difficult to control.

Her left hand trembled as she lifted the extraordinary piece, stiff as a rusty machine.

Esther brought the extraordinary properties of the "Deception Mentor" close to her forehead, aligned one end at the gray symbol, and slowly pushed it inward.

A soft swirl swirls around the symbol, and the tip of the crystal gradually softened, quickly turning into a phantom enveloped by a swarm of insects, merging into it.

A strange murmur sounded in the depths of her consciousness, and the silver river beneath her feet became more and more turbulent, and her body seemed to be sinking.

Until the entire crystal was swallowed, the eerie symbol seemed to have gained what it was seeking, gradually losing its substance, turning back into a gray mist.

Esther's hands pressed against her face, the movement of which didn't ease her pain, and her right hand clenched at her brow bone, and the worm-like tumbling granulations began to subside, shrinking under her skin.

On her severed forehead, silver spread, and the re-closed skin covered the bloody mouth until Esther reopened her eyes and let out a weak breath to pull herself out of the fall.

The silvery river at her feet had receded at some point, and even the phantom had vanished, and the points of light wandered disorderly through the church, chasing each other's trails, and with a sigh from Esther, they regrouped and meekly retracted the tips of her hair.

Esther leaned wearily on the back of the bench, and she looked up and subconsciously went to the front

Look at the cross.

However, it took her too long, and the last bit of sunlight had fallen, and the shadows of the night had blurred the horizontal and vertical outlines, leaving only a heavy back for Esther.

Suddenly, a spiritual instinct of vigilance froze, and Esther jerked up from the bench, and at the moment she snatched her left hand, and immediately stole the distance, and her person was already hiding behind the cross.

She held her breath, but it was quiet, both in her sight and in her perception of the environment—nothing had happened.

Amon's doppelganger didn't come in, the church door was still closed, it wasn't that Adam's doppelganger turned out from any corner, lifting the psychological invisibility, and more importantly, he didn't have such a mischievous habit.

What Esther felt was an even more chilling uneasiness, but this church was also a "safe house" imagined by Adam, how could it be possible to hide such a strong danger?

She didn't think it was a targeted malice, it should just be a more pure "gaze", without any emotion, but rather a muddled look.

It seems that a person who is sleepwalking subconsciously turns around to look because he hears a voice shouting.

Esther, still hiding behind the cross, flinched for a moment to make sure there was really nothing nearby, and then she stepped out of the shadows, stepped over the marble floor illuminated by the red moon and moonlight, and walked in the direction of the door.

So what exactly is that?

When Esther was still three meters away from the gate, the terrifying feeling that sent chills all over her body came out of her spiritual intuition again.

Esther quickly retreated from the church door, but the feeling of fear that filled her did not abate, but became clearer, and the intense fear oppressed her reason.

As a vague murmur came from the depths of her mind, Esther suddenly understood that this fear was not so foreign to her.

The hazy consciousness, which only made a small sound, was the same cognate whisper that Esther had used when she had activated the symbol.

Esther could understand what he was saying, it was just an unconscious call, long before the name "Zoya" appeared, and in the longer history, the memory was blurred, and only the fear of the high was forever.

"Destiny ......"

The Spirit Lord, who was still waiting to be resurrected, was awakened by the language she spoke, and was calling for his attendants who remained in the Source Castle to care for him.

Esther leaned against the corner of the wall, sliding slowly to the ground, she cupped her aching head and let out a sharp sneer.

She quickly figured out the source of all this - all the hidden souls in the Source Fort were the resurrected hands of the Lord of the Spirit Realm, "Zhou Mingrui" was, "Li Xing" was, wasn't "Zoya"?

No one has ever escaped the shackles of fate.

Because of the spiritual warning, she subconsciously wanted to avoid such a danger, but this danger came from herself, so what could she do?

She knew that the one wasn't really awake, but Amon had deliberately added some "spices" to his extraordinary properties. The original intention of this prank may have been to observe her out-of-control changes, but in the end, there was a little unexpected deviation.

Esther closed her eyes and calmly waited for the fear to subside.

She didn't panic because of this, and it was a good thing for her to learn about it earlier.

Now, she had to think of another way, she couldn't continue to seek a stable promotion on the three paths separated by the "Source Castle", otherwise she would be closer to the consciousness of that one.

In terms of annoyance, they are quite similar......

A few steps away, the door of the church quietly opened a gap, and a young man in a black classical robe walked in.

With a friendly smile on his face, the young man looked around the church, but he didn't see any obvious signs of physical damage, and the doppelganger pushed the monocle in his right eye, not hiding the regret in his eyes.

Esther looked up and shivered when she met Ammon's interested gaze.

"Huh?" She's uncharacteristically anti

Ying, further aroused Amon's curiosity, "You don't look very good, you are promoted without going through the ceremony, it is really dangerous, I told you-"

Esther directly interrupted Amon's babbling, and looking at his leisurely steps, she couldn't help but feel the thought of doing it: "Wait, don't come here yet."

"Oh, I'm not going to do anything, so it's hard for you to keep sitting on the floor, right?" The man in the peaked wizard's hat ignored the words, and only stopped when he got closer, casting a shadow on Esther, and observing Esther's state with a smile.

Although what he expected happened, Esther's reaction was a little strange, and there was no sign of madness, just an inexplicable sense of fear......

But Amon didn't do anything more, just spread his hands very gentlemanly, and motioned for Esther to hold on as she got up.

Asther stared silently at the hand he had handed him, and finally did not take it, but took a deep breath, got up from the ground neatly, and walked towards the church door without looking back.

"Okay, you're angry?"

Amon followed Esther, not expecting a response, but as she reached the door, she suddenly stopped.

"Yes, I'm angry, but not because of what you did with that extraordinary characteristic." Esther paused, still looking back at the smiling face, "but because of Benjamin Jacob's lies."

The smile on the face of the Amon clone deepened: "It's strange."

"Oh, it doesn't really have anything to do with you, I'm just feeling sorry for a friend."

Amon stretched out his hand at Esther, the false helplessness on his face was inversely proportional to his indifferent eyes: "But that friend of yours is also me, can it be someone else?"

"Who knows."

Esther replied lightly, and then walked out of the church door firmly.

The red moon hung high outside the door, the night was quiet, and the clones who had gathered were gone.
