As mentioned earlier, Chaoyuntai is very special in the Xianchu Palace, it is a half-temple and half-palace style building, all of which are built on the square stone platform.

This stone platform is built up with a regular rectangular countertop, there is no railing on all sides, only the stairs are extended on one side, and the communication is connected to the shore of the "self" shaped gallery, the corridor is mostly the ancient Chu style, the color is gorgeous, smart and exquisite, ten meters a flying corridor, five meters a quetai.

The table is about half a meter below the water surface, and the edge of the column platform can be seen, and the edge is inlaid with copper mirrors, and the mirror reflects the surrounding clouds and mist, which looks as if the clouds surround the building, showing a suspended state.

On this table, the main palace is distributed in a "convex" shape on top of the three terraces, with three tiers of steps intersecting in the middle, and a straight staircase extending from the terrace face up to the highest table.

Among them, the third floor of the stairs is the verandah style, straight around the four sides, on the second floor of the steps, there are also "concave" shaped que towers on the left and right, two curved corridor bridges are shaped like arms arched upward, connecting the two que towers, and the pavilions protruding from the steps begin to appear on the four sides.

These pavilions are mostly distributed straight along the mesa surface, there is no distinction between primary and secondary, but only exist as the side hall of the quelou, the part that protrudes from the mesa is just erected on the third floor of the verandah, supported by the pillar platform of the verandah, suspended in mid-air.

In front of the hall, it is a small bluestone square, about the same size as the main hall, there are steps between the three steps to connect at the corner, you can go straight to the tower, stand on the tower, you can also come to the verandah on the four sides of the main hall by the arch bridge.

On the staircase of the three steps of communication, there is also a bronze statue of a standing figure, holding a sword, cold and serious.

Generally speaking, the building mostly uses the verandah, flying pavilion, chamber, and covered bridge hanging in the air to bypass the main hall at all levels, bringing a feeling of lightness and agility, and at the same time, the three-step table widens from top to bottom, which also makes the palace group more thick, so that it will not be helpless and easily shaken, which can be said to be a very typical Jingchu building.

It's just that, after all, this building has been thousands of years old, and it has been repaired many times for a long time, except for the main body is the ancient Chu style, the rest of the architectural elements have been changed, integrating the different styles of the Qin and Han dynasties and even the five dynasties, and eclectic to create a unique beauty.

In addition, as an occasion to worship the goddess of Wushan for a long time, the verandah and arch bridge mostly cover the windows with banner banners, and when the wind blows, the ribbons fly elegantly and randomly, smart and mysterious.

It's just that Yue Guanchao really didn't understand one thing, and asked: "This lake is on the top of the mountain, at least a few years ago since the ancient Chu palace was built, how to ensure that the lake does not dry up, or how to ensure that the lake is not polluted." ”

Ask where the canal is as clear as promised, in order to have a source of living water, the most difficult thing to solve in a man-made lake like this is the problem of living water, as long as there is no living water injected, but half a year will be overgrown with green algae and bed bugs.

This problem, even the palace can not solve, the Jinshui River in the Forbidden City, but also regularly introduce external water sources to ensure clarity, otherwise, it will soon be filled with algae, into a fishy and unpleasant smell of stagnant water, the lake in front of you is not only completely fishy, but also has a slight aroma of grass and trees, at a glance is living water.

If this is on flat ground, it may be able to rely on the drop on the mountain to attract living water, since the Goddess Peak is the highest peak, it means that the surrounding mountains belong to its highest, even if you really want to attract living water, you can't go against the law of water flowing to a lower place.

Banshu looked at the lake and explained, "It's a culvert!" ”

"Culverts? It's not enough to have a culvert, but it's the highest point. ”

Song Siyuan also noticed that the lake seemed to be very strange.

"Do you believe that water can flow to high places!" Banshu's eyes became mysterious.

Yue Erpao shook his head: "People go to high places, water flows to low places, this is the old saying, unless you are carrying a bucket to the mountain, then it is impossible to let the water flow to a high place!" ”

Ban Shu shook his head and said: "It is impossible for ordinary people to do it, but it is possible for Lu Ban, back then, this lake was personally chiseled by Lu Ban's descendants, and it belonged to a very important part of Chaoyuntai." ”

At that time, building a lake was not only important, but also a top priority - this lake determined whether Chaoyuntai could be suspended, and the Shennu Peak was considered to be the highest peak when building the drawings, and if the water source problem was not solved, even if the pond was dug, it would soon form a stagnant lake, which was a great disrespect to the goddess of Wushan.

In order to solve this problem, the descendants of Luban personally inspected the nearby peaks, and the first thought was to dig a canal with a level difference between the mountain peak and the river, and then turn it with a water wheel, and gradually lift the river water from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, so as to merge into the lake and form a steady stream of living water.

But there is a problem with this, it also requires a living person to operate the waterwheel, and under ancient conditions, it is almost impossible to make the waterwheel rotate, which means that the waterwheel must be maintained in time, which is a little too troublesome in the long run.

Once, Lu Ban's descendants dug a deep pit on the Goddess Peak, and when they saw that clear water was quickly accumulated in the pit, they immediately had an idea in their hearts.

In his opinion, after digging the pit, clean water is stored quickly, which means that there are many dark holes in the rock formations on the Goddess Peak, as long as these dark cracks are opened, the water in the rock formations can continue to flow into the canal through the drop to bring living water!

To achieve this, the lake needs to be dug as deep as possible so that the water flow can flow into the lake with enough drop, and at the same time, the cracks must be opened and completely penetrated to form a stable water source.

These things are simple to say, but it is not easy to do, the highest peak around the Goddess Peak, even the mountain connected to the Goddess Peak is slightly lower than it, and it is not easy to dig a culvert.

Later, the descendants of Luban first asked the craftsman to dig the pool 30 meters deep, and then caught thousands of pangolins, and after they gave birth to their cubs, they put all these cubs at the bottom of the pool, and then took the mother pangolin to the water-rich mountain range near the Goddess Peak, and directly sent these pangolins into the dark hole to close the entrance.

After that, at the same time, the pangolins are driven away by smoke, they are the most protective calves, seeing that the entrance is blocked, afraid that the cubs will be killed by the living, they will use their claws to dig the soil desperately, constantly smelling the smell of the cubs, digging towards the place where the smell of the cubs is strong.
