Chapter 79: Chapter 15: The Heart of Evil (2)

"Woohoo lament!" said the Siamese Master, "Your Excellency is so irritable, how can you become enlightened?"

"I forgot, the mage is an expert in meditation and enlightenment!" Dai Ping smiled angrily.

"Your Excellency is moody, and your heart is very unsettled, so how can you talk about meditation and enlightenment?" sighed Master Siam.

"I would like to worship the Master as a teacher, pass on my Zen teachings, and help me understand the power of faith!" Dai Ping fell to the ground.

"Your Excellency is so murderous that it may be difficult to attain the Tao. "Siamese Master said.

"It has taken me more than a year to fulfill the Imperial Mandate, and if I can understand the power of faith, I will be able to obtain the research materials of Ishii Kamobu and find a way to crack the necromancy. However, as the Venerable Master just said, he is really lacking in mental power, and if he wants to realize the power of faith, he doesn't know when to stay. Thinking that the beastly nature of the Yamato clan is immortal, if I get the help of necromancy, my big man is in danger! I really shouldn't be angry, I hope the mage will forgive me!" Dai Ping pleaded.

"That's it, it's also my mouth. "The Siamese Master lifted Dai Ping and said, 'May I give happiness to all sentient beings, and may I pull out the suffering of all sentient beings.'" 'You and I have been together for more than a year, what kind of fate?"

"So, the mage is willing to take me as an apprentice?" Dai Ping asked.

"Since you worship me as a teacher, your Excellency should have compassion. "Siamese Master said.

"What is compassion?" Dai Ping asked.

"There are three kinds of compassion. Master Siam said, "First, birth is compassionate. That is, contemplating a qiē sentient beings is like a child, and pulling out suffering with happiness, this is the compassion of ordinary people, called small compassion. Second, the Dharma is compassionate. It refers to the compassion that arises from the truth that enlightens the dharmas without self, and is called middle compassion. Third, there is no cause for mercy. The equal and absolute compassion that arises from the view of distinction and without distinction is called great compassion. The above three kinds of compassion are called three-dependent compassion. ”

"What is the explanation for these three causes of compassion?" Dai Ping asked.

Master Siamese said, "What is compassion for life? For more than a year, every time I saw you coming out of the wall, you either had your skin open or your nose and face swollen. What I saw today, I was amazed that you were safe and sound. It seems like you're coming out of the wall, covered in wounds, for sure. The compassion that arises from this understanding is the birth compassion.

The level of Dharma Compassion is higher than that of ordinary people. For example, in the eyes of others, you are a real person, young and strong. And in my eyes, you won't change forever, you will grow old and die. You can be a useful person, or even a great talent, or you may be useless, or even a mediocre person, you may be pretentious, or you may be ashamed of yourself, and you may never be there to cry or laugh. It's like when you succeed in your studies, but you don't rejoice for long, because you have the trouble of comprehending the power of faith, and you still have the emperor's destiny. You are so distressed, and the poor monk sees it, and his heart is compassionate, and this is the compassion of the Dharma.

The deepest compassion is 'unconditional compassion'. For example, do you want to do good and be born in heaven, or do you do evil and fall into the evil path? Is it pleasure or suffering? You will never be liberated in the cycle of birth and death. Just as you transcend your own abilities and want to comprehend the power of faith, the idea of getting the research materials of the Ishii Kamobe and completing the mission is obviously illusory. But your suffering is so real, so profound, that the poor monk sees it and has compassion in his heart, and this is unwarranted compassion. Therefore, he who does not see the real and has compassion, that is, he who is empty and compassionate, is called uncaused compassion. ”

"In this way, Master, this compassion has some bearing in hand with the faith that Master said. Dai Ping said.

"Oh," said the Siamese Master, "what do you say about your master's beliefs?"

"One is meditation, two is repentance, three is prayer, four is blessing, and five is purification. Dai Ping then elaborated on the way of comprehension passed on by his master.

In this way, the purpose of this meditation and enlightenment is the same, only in a different way. "Siamese Master said.

"Since the purpose of meditation and enlightenment is the same, only the path is different. How will I gain compassion, and how will I gain the power of faith?" asked Dai Ping.

"There are ten ways to be compassionate for the sake of cherishing, one is to hear more, the second is to be pure, the third is to not leave sentient beings, the fourth is to make a vow, the fifth is to cultivate kindness and nourish, the sixth is to make more merits, the seventh is to make suffering, the eighth is to be confused, the ninth is to take the appearance as a contemplation, and the tenth is to become accustomed to nature. Master Siam said, "You should meditate on the path together with your master's meditation, repentance, prayer, blessing and purification, and you will attain your wishes." ”

"Hope for the mage's guidance. Dai Ping bowed.

"Listen up. Master Siamese said, "What is a lot of hearing?

What is purity? Away from the faults of evil deeds, away from the pollution of defilements.

What does it mean to not leave all beings? not to give up any life. Extradition all living beings out of the sea of suffering and on the other side.

What is the vow cloth? Set goals and directions, and persevere.

What is the cultivation of compassion and nourishment? Know the trade-offs, know the bitterness and happiness.

What does it mean to make more merits? Only by not being entangled in delusional attachment can we cultivate virtue and merit, and only then can we show our virtues.

What is the suffering of the audience? Know the real suffering, know the reason for the suffering.

What is the audience's confusion? know what they want, know what they want,

What does it mean to take a look at the facts? Look at the root of it, know what it is, and know why it is so.

What is habitual character? Habit develops character, and character determines fate. ”

"Master Xie!" Dai Ping said. Since then, Dai Ping has sat in this lonely temple every day and meditated on all his experiences.
